It looks great . Probably smells terrific. Don’t forget the good old smell test lol . It does have the three things I am looking for in my next Bible purchase. Wide margin, single column, and verse by verse . Will probably wait until the end of 2021 to get it. Great to see you doing reviews again pastor Matt. Blessings
Just checked the price, wow $250 is a bit outrageous. Again, $100-$150 is fair. I would opt for an ESV topaz for the price. It’s fully printed and bound in the Netherlands on very premium paper at $180-230.
This is a much half Bible for preachers and expositors who favor the ESV. I do with they were still printing and binding in the Netherlands or pricing these around $100.
Good review; a few take aways that weigh my decision against picking up this edition. 1) Paper weight and bleeding. 2) Overall weight and size. 3) Cover looks a bit too floppy for me and finally, 4) I have an issue with Crossway's insistence on printing their Bibles in China. Curious, you did a review of the Cambridge ESV Topaz Edition. I own this particular version and love it! Given a choice between the Cambridge Topaz and the Crossway v/v Preaching Bible, which one would you take to the pulpit?
Good evening Pastor Matthew! I often watch your videos, and one of the things I really enjoy is the spiritual content, but I honestly want to tell you I'm looking forward to getting one of those goatskin ESV bibles, they're gorgeous, and as an english teacher (here in Colombia) I have the chance to practice the language and that's a nice version. I wish I could have one of those, that are hard to get here in my country. I also know that it's expensive. Would it be possible to get one of those ( second handed maybe) as a bargain, reallllyyy cheap. Greetings and blessings!
Thanks for the review of what looks like a nice ESV VBV. I’ve been looking for an ESV VBV but $249 is higher than I’d expect for a China edition. Moving production to China hasn’t improved Crossway’s prices.
love your teaching, and am attempting to better my learning and knowledge of God, ... am still attempting to purchase Bible pair that will give me good results ... are you aware of another Bible pair as the Cambridge and Cambridge Pitt Minion, would love to consider ... thanks
It is always good to believe in God. But do not worship a Human and say that He is a God. Because God never dies, and Don't have children. { In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most MercifulSay } { He is God, the One. God is absolute. He does not beget not is He begotten. And there is nothing comparable to Him }

The smell test is one of the most important!

It’s $159 on Christian book
@@Zachary_Stec the link Matt gave from Amazon was $250. I hadn’t looked anywhere else.
$250 for a Chinese Bible?! Ummm.....no. You could could a Schuyler or a Cambridge for less money than that. $250 for this is almost offensive...

Is this the same size as the first ESV Preaching bible?

I have the exact same question... I hope he does a comparison between these two...
How’s the paper compared to a Cambridge wide margin?
Thanks!
so kind! thank you!
Do you use verse by verse or paragraph format on the Bible you use?
Hi Matt could you tell me what watch you have on? Make and model? Much appreciated brother!
It's a Fossil watch with a new Fossil British tan band that my wife got me. It was about $120. FS4813
I was about to ask the same question 👍

I like the double-column Bible you mentioned in this review. What was it again? I can't seem to find it online.
How is it holding after 2 months? Hiw has preaching in it been? Hows the binding and leather?
Matt I’m trying to decide between this and the VBV Top grain leather but it is the 2014 ESV version. Are the distances significant?
Can you post a link to the two column brown one?
"Wail away for the glory of God!' What a great analogy and what a great review. Thanks!
Hilarious!

Please review the Names of God (NOG) Bible. Although it is out of print, it is available on BibleGateway.
