Do you carry additional flotation for the outboard in the event of capsizing? I expect its weight would sink the canoe to the bottom if it every capsized. I have a 15 foot Grumman squareback canoe with a Mercury 3.5 HP outboard and a 45 lbs Minn Kota trolling motor
Nice.
Thanks

There is floatation in the front and back. It is rated for the weight of the whole craft.
Mine is a 17ft square stern. The motor weighs 28 lbs. But I have never capsized the canoe in 48 years.
I weighed the 5hp the other day. It weighed 64#s.
This is all the crack hit i can get while i wait to fix my tin canoe
What's wrong with it?
What is wrong with it? I'm glad I could entertain you while you wait. 🙂
Love a canoe
I do too. I have many watercraft. But I enjoy the canoe the best.
