Chemical Hear Lyrics:
When
Look for a ride and you need to get high my friend
Spend all your time just walkin around instead
Like black rose there's somebody to hold for them
For them
Let's
Go outside have nothin to hide for free
Can't seem to see the forest from the trees
Grass is always greener but how do ya know we'll see
We'll see
Can't get started chemical heart
Every time I get started you pull me apart
Can't get started chemical heart
Every time I get started you pull me apart
Forgotten
Maybe things are right on the other side undone
Better of wishin for the stars to kill the sun
Like black rose if nobody can hold no one
No one
Can't get started chemical heart
Every time I get started you pull me apart
Can't get started chemical heart
Every time I get started you pull me apart
Yeah
When
Look for a ride and you need to get high my friends
Spend all ya time just walkin around instead
Like stack road there's somebody to hold for them
For them
Can't get started chemical heart
Every time I get started you pull me apart
Can't get started chemical heart
Every time I get started you pull me apart
Yeah
Can't get started
Chemical heart
Everytime I get started
You pull me apart
Can't get started
Chemical heart
Everytime I get started
You pull me apart
About Grinspoon:
Seven albums, 13 ARIA nominations, over half a million records sold and a back catalogue etched into Aussie music history. They’re one of our most durable and, undoubtedly, best-loved rock bands - Grinspoon.
When it comes to the music biz longevity is an elusive beast. Put simply, Grinspoon are the premier rock band in the country. After playing 400+ live shows, seeing six consecutive albums debut in the Top 10, with multi-platinum sales across 25 years, it’s fair to say they’ve earned their place in Australian music history.
Grinspoon is Phil Jamieson on vocals, Pat Davern on guitar, Joe Hansen on bass and Kristian Hopes on drums.
one of the greatest Aussie songs of all time!
Andrew Snowdon I agree 100%:)
hang on a damn second. you are not saying this is better than the smoko song are you? jk
i think it is pretty under rated
You haven’t listened to much Australian music, have you?
@@joyusachoobarb Underrated
One of the many great Aussie rock tunes from the late 90's-early 00's.
I was a late starter on Grinspoon - was 35 when I first took notice (am 47 now) - 'Better Off Alone' one of my favourite all time songs - so good I sent it up to friends in France - there's now a small legion of French-folk who are infected with Grinspoon
Phil is one man in this world we should all look up to, he lost it, lost it all, but never gives up, i only wish Phil you hit the big time again, No.1 , you deserve it, .... one of the very few who made me look at myself and get clean, I owe it to you and denton!
Lols for days mate - Phil and Denton interview was awesome
Shit mate, Im with you 100%. Thanks for your comments. Hope your doing well.

Played an acoustic gig with jamieson last night in port Macquarie. Not braggin but I played his guitar and it was a big thing for me this band rules. Memories as a kid listening to this band. And to have met him last night was sick. He's still so fucking good man. Legends
+Groove it sounds like you are bragging, and thats ok. i would brag too.
To add to the bragging session/fun facts, my band had our EP Launch the night after Jamieson performed in the same venue.
I got to play many of the base players guitars because I'm friends with his son. It's really fun and he's really a great guy
@@BraidGNx1 did yaaaaaaaaaaa
I'd be bragging too
How does this have so little views? this was a massive song.
That's Aussie for you. No one knows we are here or cares. Has its benefits.
2.6 Million is a lot, what was it 10 years ago?
Partied with these guys in gilligans, cairns... about a decade ago... fkn legends 💪🏼

I fully understand the feeling of knowing the riff and never being able to find out what song it is.
I still 22 years later find myself getting lost, wandering in the Maya. My Chemical Heart compels me 🙌❤🧙♂️
Best live act I ever saw......all 9 times.

Amen brother!
they're from Lismore and I saw them live yesterday. Happened to be on my 18th birthday, 17.06.17 at SCU Lismore campus. Great day 👍.
Fell in love with these guys years ago. Brilliant live too! Yet another underestimated Aussie band...
I'm still playing their music and every time someone new hears what I'm playing they get into the band as well. Kids, adults ...anyone who somehow missed their magic. They all end up getting right into the bands music. I'm just pissed they didn't release more music. They're still one of the Best Aussie Bands ever. In the top 5.
If you listen to their songs you actually realise... what these guys did, and how many bangers they actually produced....
Wow so glad I got reminded of this. This is just fantastic, great arrangement and sound, perfect, wonderful. I played this so many times ..
This is a brilliant song. Beautifully constructed, so raw & honest
Can't believe I'm just now finding this amazing band. Thank you guys.
American here, and I like this song.
This song reminds me of driving to class in the mornings in 2002.
Their best song,a masterpiece .
frikken epic song..still in 2021
Recollecting memories from the time of my life when I used to enjoy this song... this song is old but still sounds fresh.. it always will! Chemical heart

This is quite simply an amazing song and will definitely stand the test of time.
Latter Teenage years spent listening to this song in the back seat of a HR Holden with an MKX Sub, so niiiiiiiiice. Memories.

Kelly Stephenson Thankyou so much 😃🇦🇺
Worthy winner of the first Triple J battle of the bands
I remember Network TEN used this as the promo song when Law and Order: CI was being promoted when it first aired...
So do I now you mentioned it. I remember 9 used fat boy slim in their promos as well. Good times!
I still love this song it’s my ringtone in my opinion it’s really the best in show
Damn! I'd totally forgotten these guys! Awesome tunes!
Not sure what year this made an impact, but a flood of mish mash memories come flooding back...
Nobody does music like this that touches your soul and triggers a flood of memories.
Only 2.7k subscribers?! C'mon, this is one of the best Aussie rock bands ever!

Grinners.... this band man... pillar of my youth, the boys jave been at it for 30 odd years...
What a awesome song!!!
their from Lismore and I saw them live yesterday.
R.I.P English.
As good as anything in the world at the time (and still).
my favourite song on the usb drive plugged into my car headset while driving. i usually have it on shuffle, and when this song comes on i crank it to the max, subwoofer included, and rock out to it. i dont smoke weed but this song just sounds sooo good. its actually the high notes that are so damn addictive, not the low notes, so subwoofer is not compulsory.
Now how did I forget about this band. Used to love them, still do
Phenomenal music! Mesmerising actress - a delicate beauty!
This song and Hard Act to Follow are the frickin Business
And Lost Control. That is off the charts good
Best baby xx
I heard that this song was about someone whos life is ruled by their heart. They fall in love too easily and cant finish relationships!
It’s about meth addiction.
What do you mean old? I saw them this year at the Gold Coast!
They were amazing!
Just awesome
impatience is a gift
I was around in the 90s and witnessed grunge. What a juggernaut. If that decade wasn't as a hell in a handbasket as it was for mine I would have loved this genre more. Ok I can enjoy now. Thing is you need to zeitgiest to understand it.
loved these guys in my Uni days in the early 00's. head the lead singer had an ice issue, truly hope he recovered and has overcome any issues he had. same goes for anyone out there with addiction. love the song, cheers.
He's doing great now, lost a lot of weight and looks really healthy.
mad song, brings back some great memories
Reminds me of high school..
2018 and tuning in... Classic.
Doesn't that hit the spot.. especially today .💯❤️ Lost too many so called friends and family..who at the end of the day had a Chemical Heart..and forgot about The Unconditional Heart..🙏💯❤️
Like all good music inspired by drug addictions.
What a awesome song!!!
a total classic, Australiana style
Love these guys so hard!
Loved this song weighing chemicals in the rubber factory the old days ❤️
Awesome xx
I heard they did a song called 'Lismore Girls'. Love to hear those lyrics.
Grin spoon rock, pure Australian............... suck it up, softies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To be fair, ‘Chemical Heart’ is stunning... :-)
I was searching this song for a long time
one of my favourite aussie bands to see live
i have grew up listing to this song since i was seven years of age
I saw these guys live at the Gollan Hotel in Lismore when they were starting out .They would have been about 16 or 17 at the time and I knew they'd be huge . I went and told all my mates about them . They certainly lived up to my expectations !
Saturday nights at the Gollan - Grinspoon, Frenzal Rhomb, Magic Dirt and plenty others that came through town. Long live the 90's and bring back pub rock
Never did the Gollan but you 2 definitely had a ball with those bands.
Saw them supporting Screaming Jets at the Bridgeway in Adelaide not long after being unearthed. WICKED
This song slaps, how isnt it popular
I think he means back in 04 (I think) where they did a flawless performance. And this year isn't really reminiscing old memories
cant wait to go to the concert in August got my tickets 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
karnage 604 how was it?
When you can't quite turn the fucking engine over in a cold winter morning.
Or a hot morning 😏
awww memories
been watching reviews of current hit "rise" by extreme featuring a lead by Nuno Bettencourt - reminded me of "chemical heart" -- saw Grinspoon in 2002,2003 and 2005 at Nambour RSL - ------------- Rick Beato's (and others) look/review of the lead by Nuno is good to watch
I liked this song when it came out and I was 12 and nowadays I'm 30 and I still like it
Just found this. I love it
