It's a double edged sword because yes you get more for your money in PSL in terms of new or newer home, but nothing beats the location of Palm Beach County.
Go to Palm Beach, PSL been working on these streets since Harriet Tubman freed the slaved; traffic is congested for no reason, because their is nothing to do here. Very little sidewalks... for a better FL experience Palm Beach is the place to be, unless you want to live here to commute.

Port Saint Lucie is a big joke. It's like a huge village with property taxes higher than some California counties. And guess what - they are going to increase them soon. Homeowners have to cut the grass between their property lines and the street themselves or pay someone to do it on top of the high tax rates they already pay. Very few streets have lights the rest are dark like in a war zone with no sidewalks. No night life, nothing. The nearest Costco is in Palm Beach - 40 miles away. It's hot and muggy during the summer months and the smell from the canals and rotting grass combined with the heavy super humid air are forcing you to stay at home with AC running nonstop.

The west is all new development, well lit streets and new retail, etc. It's also the more expensive area, excluding being directly on the water in the far east, by the intracoastal.

I own one in Sandpiper I rent out when I'm not there. We like Sandpiper and Westmoreland BLVD area best because it's close to Stuart and Jensen Beach
