I have learned quite a bit from you. Watching your videos gave me the confidence to buy a used 335i E93. It ran great when I bought it ... he he... immediately started throwing codes of course. In the 5 months that I have owned it. I have replaced the plugs, PCV valve, Did the walnut blast, replaced the pre cat O2 sensors and dialed out the ridiculous negative camber on the rear tires. I still need to replace the vacuum lines and already have the oil filter housing gaskets in hand. Now the post cat O2 sensors are starting to complain. But I am actually having fun. Thanks buddy!
Every BMW is allergic to low battery output, with no warning ⚠️ signs things could get catastrophic with a huge repair bill, the main fuel pump and water pump be the first thing to shit the bed on my X6 also low battery is notorious for causing misfires, electrical problems always go back to a low or dying battery.
My E39 battery I bought four year ago went bad recently. It would read 11.x V, but just had no punch. A door open for 5 mins would weaken it enough that car wouldn't attempt to crank.
@@brianalba735 Nathan left a powered wire dangling on the exhaust, melted the insulation, took out ecu fuse - he admitted it was his fault - after first blaming the agm battery many times :)
Hi Nathan. My name is Tony Tran I have Bmw x3. The same problem with the car bmw you work on.please tell me what kind of the fuse you use to say start your car
Hey Nathan I got a 2002 X5 4.4 put a new dmc car ran beautifully so I decided to power wash engine let it run for hour next day cranks no start power up fuel pump it working checked relay swapped it still no power at plug to fuel pump white wire fuses 47 and 51 good jumped 87 30 to provide power circuit fine please I need more direction it would be be appreciated thanks
So @7:20 you go into the fuse box under the hood. After taking out the screws, how did you fet that black fusebox with the blown fuse out? I am stuck right there. I have a 06 x3 and it won't start. It won't turn over or nothing. I am hoping it a fuse and NOT the starter. There was no warning just would not start. Not sure what it is. Tips would be greatly appreciated.
My car had similar problem while my girl was driving it shut off as if battery was dead i changed out battery it turns over no start would that break one of these fuses? Need help ASAP please
I just replaced the starter on mine 2008 x3. I never worked on a BMW and never will again 😬Nice place for the starter under the manifold. I tried by sliding it to the side and used a extension on the socket E14.Wasted a few hours then pulled the manifold. I will say it’s very easy with it out.Took me 15 minutes with a E14 wrench 🔧.longer to put everything back together. I got a new Bosh not rebuild and of course the bolts and manifold gaskets. The transfer case actuator gear ⚙️ is chewed up I get the trio of lights. I will try it next.🤔✊
Months back I started getting limp mode and random error codes, I told my mechanic that I was pretty certain that there was a electrical issue going on but he insisted that the starter was on its way out. He replaced the starter (2008 550i MSport) and a week later the car died on the highway, after almost an hour I got the car started and limped it back to his shop. We later discovered that my ECU box wasn’t draining properly, the board and harness were both terribly damaged, replaced both and haven’t had a issue since then. My neighbor has these two god awful trees that are probably 100 years old judging by the enormous size of them, they’re a lawsuit waiting to happen and a absolute nuisance, I pray that Mother Nature strikes these two morphed together trees down because my car is taking a beating from being parked under them. Moral to my story, if for whatever reason you’re forced to park regularly under a tree make sure your ECU box is draining properly and your board and harness are in good condition, if not you’re car will throw so many different codes that it may possibly even “phone home” E.T. in the process, keep it clean, keep it dry.
Happened to me with my E46 325i at 99k miles. Right when I heard the alternator bearing going bad, I knew it was time for a waterpump, t stat, cooling parts, tensioners, belt and the battery.

Do you have any ideas on an intermittent long crank issue I have with my M54B22 I have no codes at all
so wait. I want to understand, that block off was laying on teh manifold? so that was blowing the fuses?

Hey Nathan could you leave a link or atleast the name of the booster pack you use, please and godbless you
A Zip tie would prevent that from happening again.
I did ziptie it when i jumped it to get it off the trailer
You need at least 11.5v to start the engine
I keep blowing one of the 30 A green fuses in the same box..any idea's what it is? I cant seem to nail down a fuse diagram to determine what it is
Hey how the heck did you get that box out
How much would this have cost at the dealership?

What was the issue again?
Lol He caused the problem by leaving a hot wire laying on the engine which shorted, blew fuse... lights on which drained the battery. User error.
Well I did tuck the wires away , it Took a year for them to work down to the manifold, it wasn't like I did the delete yesterday and it had the issue
