Oh, I wish it was the full song! I am very curious how this will evolve. Marko sounds very similar to the original. Beautiful and melodic timbre. Tarja is letting her chest register dominate her parts. And it sounds different, but good! Not perfect, but unique. I feel like during Century Child and Once, Tarja was trying to branch out, but did not know how. So her way of sounding less classical, was to hold back, to sing falsetto. Cannot stand that. Either head or chest, the hybrid is my pet peeve with her. Using her full chest voice here gives her parts more bite, more power. It still needs work, you can tell she is still working her way into it, but give it a few more spins, and this will be a completely revamped version. Her chest voice has a tone that fits metal like a glove.
You are so damn right, Tarja's chest register gives that extra drive, hell yeah🤘🏻💗🎶I am lovin this duet! It has been my dream to see Tarja and Marko together on stage ever since I became a fan in August 2005😍😍😍Music is my only inspiration!!!

It's obvious that Tarja isn't the Tarja of 20 years ago. Love Marko but Tarja should let the past be the past, she only butchers her own memory of her songs in Nightwish.
I disagree wholeheartedly. Actually really appreciate the darkness and richness in her chest voice, something she never really did during her time in Nightwish. Tarja’s voice matured and she does sound differently nowadays compared to Nightwish, it’s up to personal taste whether you like it or not.
the sad thing is that she COULD sing the song with a lighter placement if she wanted to, like on the album - her upper range hasn't gone anywhere, it's just that she prefers a more chest-dominant style now... :/

@@Joshivr But the old Nightwish fans expect her to sing these songs in the old way. And i this case I have to agree with them.
Well tarja is one of the founders of nightwish and well people prefer to hear the nostalgia. Obviously her own songs are also AMAZING! We are here to rock with Tarja
