sometimes its better to bunk a class for the boring lectures.spending few minutes here makes me clean and clear about prony brake dynamometer.a lot of thanks for it..
That was plain illogical and wrong. There is no gap, that's the groove and rim structure of the pulley. The shaft never stops, it rotates at a constant speed. Please do proper research on topics you intend to post online.

if the pulley stops your rpm becomes zero, and power output becomes zero, I think you need a tachometer as the rpm changes with increasing the shaft load
which of the following engines a prony brake is used to measure brake power? a) single cylinder engine b) low speed engine c) low power engine d) variable speed engine

aapki hi wajah se ekeeda itnaa aage pohncha hai... u r great
The pulley doesn't stop in other videos I have seen. Also, you blocked the math equation with your head.
could you please recommend me some videos showing the correct explanation, I've been stuck on it's working since days :(
by scrolling the video you can see the equation P= 2*pi/ 60* w*L
1:48 start working
thanks sir. it is very effective pattern of your teaching...
Good explanation sir

Thank you sir
thanks ....very much knowledgeable
sir what should be the lever length if we r finding the power output of single cylinder SI engine
in the prony brake dynamometer power calculation how is the value of 'n' is measured ?
Great explanation

P=(W-S)(D-d) πN/60
And when we neglect (d)
It will be P=(W-S) DπN/60
Great thanks
sir please make videos on transmission dynamometer
What is N?
Thanks
if the pulley stops your rpm becomes zero, and power output becomes zero, I think you need a tachometer as the rpm changes with increasing the shaft load
And if it's made out of different materials, the friction will be different, and the results will be different.
which of the following engines a prony brake is used to measure brake power?
a) single cylinder engine
b) low speed engine
c) low power engine
d) variable speed engine
kdk😘😘😘
nc sir
❤️
The shaft should rotate at constant rpm when the torque is balanced
wrong explanation.. shaft will never stop here.. how will the upper wooden block come down come down as a whole if we put weight in only one side..?
Yes the shaft will rotate at constant rpm and as for the frictional forces the nuts are tightened
Jesus move your head
Junk. Waste of time.
