Caitlin Clark was probably the biggest female athlete in the world this year and had an insane amount of pressure placed on her shoulders and she absolutely delivered and I would even argue exceeded expectations in her first year in the WNBA. Becoming a top 5 player in your first year in the league is beyond impressive and set records that in not sure future rookies will break for a long time to come. Very excited for Caitlin’s second year and the sky is the limit for her.

Three key moments in the game.
1 - Donner jumps into Clark as she’s shooting for 3. Dangerous play that could easily lead to injury for Clark.
Right in front of the ref.
NO FOUL. Clark thinks maybe the refs are not gonna protect her.
2 - Clark shooting for 2 and Mabrey hits her in the face. Flagrant q at a minimum. Happens right in front of the ref.
NO FOUL. Clark knows there’s DEFINITELY no protection for her.
3 - Mitchell called for an imaginary foul. Sides challenges. Foul overturned BUT then call foul on Hull instead. WTF? Even worse it’s not even clear that Hull even committed a foul either.
At this point Fever players realize they are playing against the referees as well as the Suns.
    Shockingly bad refereeing.

Winning, which is how they must feel, that one award against Caitlin is what they needed. Now they are okay saying SOME good things about Caitlin since they robbed her of the MVP (at least a CO-MVP). There has to be a serious conversation about the clique dynamic which dismissed her potential and accomplishments. Some of that has changed, but only after she broke a magnitude of records. Hard to deny the sun when you stare at it. The violence she endured was often intentional and without recourse. I despise injustice and call it as it is. Whoopi Goldberg's (who I admire and mostly agree) dismissal of the violence stating, "It's basketball!" is far from an analysis. The WNBA mishandled this whole situation from the beginning and it only got worse over time. What a shame.

I tip my hat to you guys, speaking truth, calling it like it is. So many opportunities missed by the WNBA; her insane season opening schedule right after the NCAA tournament with very little team practice, not stepping in by the Commish office/referees to eliminate non-basketball physical plays, no Olympics, not included in advertising for the playoffs. Oh, speaking of opportunities missed; Nike not promoting her, what?! No signature shoe yet' what?! Despite all that, she still shined! What an amazing season! I'm in awe! She did all with class too! Is there a better role model for young girls getting into sports right now?!

The league is a joke. Carrington obviously should have been suspended and not played. Fever's enforcer compromised by a lover on the other team. Two horrendously officiated playoff games. My decades of not watching the W has been justified. though I will admit the women's college game deserves more attention than I had given it.

I started watching the WNBA this year because of Caitlin Clark and after witnessing how the WNBA allowed the physical abuse and prejudice directed at her, I'm out. I could care less who wins as this league is not professional and practices outright discrimination. If Caitlin was black there would be hell to pay. And she's not just the rookie of the year but we saw what the true meaning of most valuable meant on the court, off the court and to the league. How many more sellouts do you think we'll see during the playoffs without her; I suspect none. I'll return when Caitlin and her Fever teammates take to the court in 2025.

Clark had one of the greatest seasons ever in the history of sports. Rich showed the professional records, but the collegiate records on top of them are incredible. She saved the league from obscurity and made every franchise so much money. The league needs to capitalize on this opportunity and improve every facet to give everyone the best product possible and protect all of their players. Clark took a beating, and while handling it perfectly, the refereeing and rules to make the game safe needs to improve. I hope the league gets it together because the women deserve this moment when we are caring about Clark’s remarkable performances.

NOT A SINGLE SHRED OF PROOF HAS BEEN SHOWN OF ONLINE ATTACKS SUCH AS DEATH THREATS, RACIST SLURS, ETC...NOT A SINGLE SHRED! WHICH IS WHY LAW ENFORCEMENT HASNT BEEN INVOLVED BECAUSE LYING ON A POLICE REPORT IS A CRIME (JUSSIE SMOLLETT)! Players claiming they dont want CC or her fans in the WNBA is hilariously disgusting! These women have been freeloading off of the NBA since its inception and havent paid their bills a single season, so to that I add, A 22 YEAR OLD ROOKIE IS PAYING THE BILLS FOR YALL THROUGH HER MILLIONS OF FANS WORLDWIDE, SHOW SOME DAMN RESPECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOBODY IS ASKING THAT CC GET SPECIAL TREATMENT, NOBODY IS SAYING DONT PLAY HARD AND BE COMPETITIVE, NOBODY SAYS ANY OF THAT AND CC ABSOLUTELY DOESNT SAY THAT NOR HAS SHE COMPLAINED WHATSOEVER, AND SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A LOT OF CRAP SHES FACED ALL SEASON, ESPECIALLY THE OBVIOUS BIAS TOWARDS HER BY THE WORTHLESS ACTIVIST REFEREES WHO STAND BY AND WATCH CC GET PUMMELED EVERY SINGLE GAME AND DONT CALL FOULS, BUT GIVE HER TECHNICALS FOR NONSENSE, NONSENSE OF WHICH OTHER PLAYERS DO THE SAME CRAP AND DONT GET A TECHNICAL! Clark redefined the MPV definition. Most VALUABLE Player (MPV) (1) value to your team, points + assists. (2) value to your franchise, increasing its value. (3) value to the league, growth in revenue and attendance. (4) value to the sport, expanding fan base and adoption. Caitlin Clark is, therefore, the WNBA's MPV, NOT the high point scorer
