To the Indiana Fever, 2024 was truly a season to celebrate. Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston led the charge, with Clark’s electrifying debut putting the spotlight on the team, and Boston’s continued excellence proving the Fever’s future is strong. Alongside veteran Kelsey Mitchell, who consistently delivered high-scoring performances, the Fever showed grit and determination . Respectfully I will not be watching the rest of the WBNA playoffs. Major players and coaches openly resented and tore down Caitlin. The olympics debacle, horrid officiating, player treatment towards Caitlin, openly crtisizing her "fans", poor media treatment / weird non-basketball narratives, I could go on.

I don't think anybody's impacted a sport the way Clark has in the last year since Tiger brought the star power to golf, or maybe the Williams sisters in tennis. At least not in the US
@@Scottrhawk Sure, going further back most any big spectator sport has someone in its history that helped popularize it, but in living memory I don't know that anybody has had this kind of impact on a sport, it's not that it's never happened, it's a matter of how truly rare it is to see something like we're seeing with Clark & women's basketball
CC's lasting impact: when she was a senior, Iowa sold out its season tickets for the first time; now she is gone and Iowa sold out its season tickets again. People came to see Caitlin, and they are staying to see Hannah, Sydney, Kylie, Addie, etc. Same thing in the W: they came for Clark and got to see that Wilson, Stewart, Collier, Thomas, etc. are great players. The rest of the playoffs, even without CC, will have higher ratings and attendance than last year.
There has to be a serious conversation about the clique dynamic which dismissed her potential and accomplishments. Some of that has changed, but only after she broke a magnitude of records. Hard to deny the sun when you stare at it. The violence she endured was often intentional and without recourse. I despise injustice and call it as it is. Whoopi Goldberg's (who I admire and mostly agree) dismissal of the violence stating, "It's basketball!" is far from an analysis. The WNBA mishandled this whole situation from the beginning and it only got worse over time. What a shame.
@@patrickh3895 your are seriously, right now, here, equating the bad boy pistons with today's WNBA? How is that even a thing? what goes on in your head🤣🤣🤣
@@patrickh3895 That's irrelevant to this specific situation. The question is whether there was a social dynamic which created an "ingroup vs. outgroup individual" mentality? The second question was whether this influenced specific aggression outside the norms. My initial impression is both are true.
I tip my hat to you guys, speaking truth, calling it like it is. So many opportunities missed by the WNBA; her insane season opening schedule right after the NCAA tournament with very little team practice, not stepping in by the Commish office/referees to eliminate non-basketball physical plays, no Olympics, not included in advertising for the playoffs. Oh, speaking of opportunities missed; Nike not promoting her, what?! No signature shoe yet' what?! Despite all that, she still shined! What an amazing season! I'm in awe! She did all with class too! Is there a better role model for young girls getting into sports right now?!
The league is a joke. Carrington obviously should have been suspended and not played. Fever's enforcer compromised by a lover on the other team. Two horrendously officiated playoff games. My decades of not watching the W has been justified. though I will admit the women's college game deserves more attention than I had given it.
They found the goose that lays the golden egg, and these jealous parties and players are willing to see the league fail rather than someone who isn’t them shine 😢
I started watching the WNBA this year because of Caitlin Clark and after witnessing how the WNBA allowed the physical abuse and prejudice directed at her, I'm out. I could care less who wins as this league is not professional and practices outright discrimination. If Caitlin was black there would be hell to pay. And she's not just the rookie of the year but we saw what the true meaning of most valuable meant on the court, off the court and to the league. How many more sellouts do you think we'll see during the playoffs without her; I suspect none. I'll return when Caitlin and her Fever teammates take to the court in 2025.
The second game of the WNBA playoff series between the Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun set a record as the most-watched WNBA game ever on cable. It drew an impressive 2.5 million viewers on ESPN, with viewership peaking at 3.4 million because of CC.
Caitlin is absolutely remarkable! I appreciate her most for not trash talking in anyone in any interview whatsoever. That’s classic excellent character!!
I think it was a good thing she got left off the Olympic team. Of course this is hindsight is 2020. After the Olympic break, she came back refreshed and was playing arguably her best basketball of the year. I think she needed that break.
That game was crazy , Ed are proud of her , again she got hammered with dirty fouls and they didn’t even called it. Referees were so bias only like 4 feet away and didn’t call it unbelievable!!
The way she plays is captivating. Draws me in. I go out of my way to watch her. I’ve missed Sunday football to watch her. I’m sorry, but I’m not doing that for any other basketball player or team. Go Ravens!
That's all I know if some body poked M Jordan in the eye, that person would have had his head beat in. No doubt about it. CC is on the floor and nobody gives a s--t. Could care less about wnba.
I subscribed to annual WNBA league pass, Amazon Prime, Paramount + and SLing TV to watch Caitlin Clark (because I don't watch TV, dont even own one, and I don't have cable). She is that good. Surely will miss her play and the Fever. Without a doubt, the GOAT (looking at her college and WNBA performances)
Clark had one of the greatest seasons ever in the history of sports. Rich showed the professional records, but the collegiate records on top of them are incredible. She saved the league from obscurity and made every franchise so much money. The league needs to capitalize on this opportunity and improve every facet to give everyone the best product possible and protect all of their players. Clark took a beating, and while handling it perfectly, the refereeing and rules to make the game safe needs to improve. I hope the league gets it together because the women deserve this moment when we are caring about Clark’s remarkable performances.
Who will watch a league that hated on CC all they way through. No one in these play offs will break any records or be as exciting. Itʻs last years league playing now without CC, nope not us goodbye.
And they want her to play on the new league UNRIVALED just to bring her fans with her , but they don’t care about her !! 18% of the fragrant foul were on her !! The entire season was her being great and the SNBA hating on her 😳 sad to see they don’t appreciate what she brought to the league .

Looking forward to next season. I really hope Indiana Fever management put a lot of thought and effort into building the team around Caitlin Clark during the off season.
Just a reminder that instead of picking Clark as Sportsperson of the Year for 2023, Sports Illustrated chose Deion Sanders (for coaching Colorado to a 4-8 record)
The most telling picture of CC is after her being knocked to the floor (I don't remember the game and assailant) and blood is running down both of her shins from her knees. Outrageous.
Glen Sather GM and Coach of Oilers fame once said in an interview of Wayne Gretzky. “….I’ve never seen him with a hair out place.” This makes me think of Caitlin. She has such fortitude.
The most exciting player to watch in the WNBA and NCAA in the last 3 years! She has captured the attention of millions. She is poised and mature at the age of 22. I love watching her play and win. I am not impressed with some of her opponents who can't beat her performance nor her nor her professional potential. She has the mind of a great athlete that knows how to compete at the highest level. I will watch her and be amazed moving forward. My kids love her, and we as parents are proud to support such a classy superstar.
Clark redefined the MPV definition. Most VALUABLE Player (MPV) (1) value to your team, points + assists. (2) value to your franchise, increasing its value. (3) value to the league, growth in revenue and attendance. (4) value to the sport, expanding fan base and adoption. Caitlin Clark is, therefore, the WNBA's MPV, NOT the high point scorer
I just saw this video, and wanted to comment about your discussion at the end of your video about her being snubbed from the Olympic team and that what a ridiculous thing that was, but we all have LA to look forward to in four years. Four years.? She could be dead she could be hurt she could be pregnant she could be out of the league. HER TIME WAS NOW!!!

Ohtani is now 3 times MVP and in the MLB for 7yrs.. not sure how Ohtani was spoken about when he was a rookie but i only started watching Ohtani a couple months ago.. same for CC.. hope the WNBA accepts her eventually and the violence stops cos it looks like its only CC getting special violence, kinda like the Jordan rules
@@PLo312 no mlb player went out of their way to say that ohantis achievements as a rookie weren’t legitimate They would have been kicked out of the league. It’s just the professionalism difference. I feel like the wnba was really caught off guard with having to be professionals with how they carry themselves. When ohtani won ROY no one was sitting there saying Gleyber Torres is just as legitimate and should be part of the conversation.
Sports person of the year
To the Indiana Fever, 2024 was truly a season to celebrate.
Their relentless drive is building more than a team-they’re building a legacy.
Congratulations on a season that laid the groundwork for greatness.
The best is yet to come!
Amazing year
Weak for eisen to not mention unfair refereeing. No one gives a rats about the rest of the W playoffs
thanks for the tip, spared me from watching.
I stopped midway through throw boring monologue because he’s too much of a coward to mention it.
Unlike my boy Jason! His show was 🔥🔥🔥 this morning
He’s a woke coward
Day one CC withdrawal.
😭😢😥
Ditto !! April ????
I'm sure Rich could have went a little harder into what exactly happened to her over the course of the year he at least added a little picture. The fact that she went through all that she did and still had a good year is crazy.
Rich.... thank you for listing all of her WNBA firsts.... & WNBA Records.... were going to send them to my friends....
I can’t watch that finger poke she got in the eye. It’s brutal. No foul too!?
I'm boycotting the rest of the season. And I won't watch until the commissioner gets fired.
Clark had 4 free throws total in the series, 2 in each game, let that sink in. 🤔
Wow.
🇦🇺International 🇦🇺 fan here. Watching CC play college BB🏀 was amazing. Dropped into WNBA swamp pit hard to watch
Its funny, I wont be watching any more WNBA games now that Caitlin is out- not because of some animosity or anything. Im simply not interested in any other single player or team. Just a fact.
Same! Now if the Aces hadn't completely benched Kate Martin, might have stomached watching those thugs 😋
Yes, I'm done for this season as well. There's a lot of other talent in the league, but I'm just not interested.
Yup me too!!
Same.
The racist ESPN ladies' (Duncan, McNutt, Molly) and the rest of the racist sports media main goal was to fight against Caitlin Clark winning both ROY AND MVP, and they succeeded in one. Winning, which is how they must feel, that one award against Caitlin is what they needed. Now they are okay saying SOME good things about Caitlin since they robbed her of the MVP (at least a CO-MVP). THE FEVER WOULD HAVE WON the first series if the filthy, dirty WNBA had not been against Caitlin, the refs were absolutely pulling for the sun. I hope she sues the WNBA system if she ever chooses to leave it due to the obvious physical and mental abuse from them...for hundreds of millions, it's what she is worth.
And the ESPN Sportswoman of the Year goes to ... literally anyone they can find other than CC.
I don't think anybody's impacted a sport the way Clark has in the last year since Tiger brought the star power to golf, or maybe the Williams sisters in tennis. At least not in the US
I’d say Babe Ruth in baseball in the 1920s
And not a single word about the slanted refs. I can't take you seriously.
He’s paid for. Has been for a long time.
Welp. Wnba season is over😂
Yep.
Lmao! You and I are about to be Golf fans soon, my friend! 😂😂 Just wait for her to announce it lol
What a shame.
well said. I am not huge into the WNBA, but it felt like there was a mission by some to end her career before it even got started.
The 90's Pistons would have had you filing complaints if you think WNBA basketball this year was violence
@@patrickh3895the difference was that more fouls were allowed by EVERYONE back then, and they called hacking fouls against Jordan
Caitlin... you ROCK! Thanks for a great season. Look forward to seeing you next season. WNBA can pound sand.
WHERE DID THEY GET THE REFEREE CREW, FOOT LOCKER??!!??
Tim Donnaghy’s old neighborhood.
I see no reason to insult foot locker employees. I was thinking ex-cons.
Sucks that WNBA season ended early. Oh well I guess there’s next year.
ESPN and a lot of WNBA players love her being out of playoffs....let's see how happy they all are when views tank.
Rich, well said!!! Best section I have ever read ,again, well done !!! JH
"they deserve it [to be watched]"
Deserves got nothing to do with it 😅people will watch what they want to watch! CC captivated the entire world
Well said, Rich, well said.
Love CC. Excited to watch her career unfold. That documentary at the end of her career will be something else.
There’s always next year. The thug league can finish without me.
You need 10 people to count all of Caitlin's records, while you need just one hand to count Angel's records
Most me-bounds ever recorded.
Reese doesn't even deserve to be in any conversation until she does something truly significant in basketball, not podcast/content crap.
@@jtj-co2oq BAAAAANG
Only need one finger for Reese!
Well done, Rich. I also can see and feel the emotional connection you have with Caitlin's superb, unmatched year.
Thank you Rich!
Well done, Rich!! Great job of recognizing her accomplishment and her as a young woman with such maturity.
My G'Daughters are not BB Players, BUT CC is an inspiration to every little girl IN THE WORLD!
Sorry, but theses thugs don't deserve residual viewership! After how they hated on CC all season! I'm done until next season!
And they want her to play on the new league UNRIVALED just to bring her fans with her , but they don’t care about her !! 18% of the fragrant foul were on her !! The entire season was her being great and the SNBA hating on her 😳 sad to see they don’t appreciate what she brought to the league .
Now watch the ratings drop, because everyone was only watching the WNBA because of CC!
Mr. Eisen, Thank you for keeping it real.
Thank you for this broadcast. Caitlin Clark is the "Athlete of the Year" and a classy individual to boot.
Here's a look at Clark's professional accolades:
▪︎ Most points by a point guard in a season in WNBA history.
▪︎ Most double-doubles by a rookie guard in WNBA history.
▪︎ Most points by a rookie in WNBA history.
▪︎ Most assists by a rookie in WNBA history.
▪︎ First WNBA rookie to record two triple-doubles.
▪︎ First triple-double by a rookie in WNBA history and first triple-double in Fever history.
▪︎ 1st player in WNBA history to be named Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month in the same month.
▪︎ 1st player in WNBA history with 20+ points, 15+ assists and 5+ rebounds in a game.
▪︎ 4x WNBA Rookie of the Month.
▪︎ 3x Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
▪︎ WNBA rookie single-season scoring record.
▪︎ WNBA single-season record for assists.
▪︎ WNBA single-season rookie record for assists.
▪︎ WNBA single-season rookie record for three-pointers.
▪︎ WNBA single-season turnover record.
▪︎ WNBA single-game record for assists (19).
This is 1984-85 Jordan level of domination. The rings will come.
CC had one hell of a rookie season!! Can’t wait to see what she can do next season!
Eisen is absolutely spot on. Kudos. Especially when talking with kids about what she’s done.
28 years of victimhood wellfare league with elite athletes that can't do layups...
CC may be the most hated person in sports. The hate is toxic.
Caitlin's story is what got me to watch the Fever. Never watched WNBA before but this journey has been amazing to watch. Probably won't watch any more games from here but looking forward to seeing her KILL WNBA next year!
Thanks Rich. Caitlin Clark always responded with pure class. Outstanding young woman and fantastic ball player!
She didn't take a picture with Judge, Judge took a picture with her. The WNBA season is over for me. Can't wait till The Fever's opening game next season.
Thank you.....saying nothing with Caitlin you wouldn't want your daughter to see is what other players might strive for....so very proud of Caitlin.
Waiting for next season.
After all of the vitriol, hate, and racism towards CC BEFORE the season started, and DURING the season from Angel Reese and Angel Reeses fans, Sheryl Swoopes, and other activist hater players, and ESPECIALLY THE LIES TOWARDS CC FANS FROM THE ATLANTA DREAM PARTIAL OWNER, AND CONNETICUT PLAYERS, AND BASICALLY PLAYERS ON EVERY SINGLE TEAM LABELING ALL CC FEVER/IOWA FANS AS RACISTS IS UNFORGIVABLE AND UNWARRANTED! NOT A SINGLE SHRED OF PROOF HAS BEEN SHOWN OF ONLINE ATTACKS SUCH AS DEATH THREATS, RACIST SLURS, ETC...NOT A SINGLE SHRED! WHICH IS WHY LAW ENFORCEMENT HASNT BEEN INVOLVED BECAUSE LYING ON A POLICE REPORT IS A CRIME (JUSSIE SMOLLETT)! Players claiming they dont want CC or her fans in the WNBA is hilariously disgusting! These women have been freeloading off of the NBA since its inception and havent paid their bills a single season, so to that I add, A 22 YEAR OLD ROOKIE IS PAYING THE BILLS FOR YALL THROUGH HER MILLIONS OF FANS WORLDWIDE, SHOW SOME DAMN RESPECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOBODY IS ASKING THAT CC GET SPECIAL TREATMENT, NOBODY IS SAYING DONT PLAY HARD AND BE COMPETITIVE, NOBODY SAYS ANY OF THAT AND CC ABSOLUTELY DOESNT SAY THAT NOR HAS SHE COMPLAINED WHATSOEVER, AND SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A LOT OF CRAP SHES FACED ALL SEASON, ESPECIALLY THE OBVIOUS BIAS TOWARDS HER BY THE WORTHLESS ACTIVIST REFEREES WHO STAND BY AND WATCH CC GET PUMMELED EVERY SINGLE GAME AND DONT CALL FOULS, BUT GIVE HER TECHNICALS FOR NONSENSE, NONSENSE OF WHICH OTHER PLAYERS DO THE SAME CRAP AND DONT GET A TECHNICAL! I had to get that off of my chest!
Looking forward to next season. I really hope Indiana Fever management put a lot of thought and effort into building the team around Caitlin Clark during the off season.
The way she conducts herself and maintains composure at her age is truly impressive. She's a remarkable young lady. 👏
Caitlin Clark = Class & Grace......WaNaBeAs = well, the opposite of that.
Rich, Caitlin had a hell of a year!
Despicable! The whole league, top to bottom, simply despicable!
Amen to that! The immaturity and jealously is off the charts!
❤CC22🐐 > WNBA
not going to happen,, we are not watching
Just a reminder that instead of picking Clark as Sportsperson of the Year for 2023, Sports Illustrated chose Deion Sanders (for coaching Colorado to a 4-8 record)
No comment about biased refs? Wake up.
She even broke a record on her last game FIRST ROOKIE TO SCORE 25 POINTS 8 and 5 in a PLAYOFFS !!
Her year would have been little more remarkable with an Olympic gold medal around her neck if it wasn't for the snub.
MVP. She lead league in points produced leading team to playoffs.
The rest of the playoffs will be like watching the Olympics. Nobody will notice, and if you watch, you won’t recognize the game. Same reason nobody watched before. It’s not good entertainment.
It’s just bad basketball
CC done, me too.
One and only reason to watch the wnba, cc fever.till next time ❤
And now nobody will watch the WNBA again til next year.
😂
That's the flipside. Everyone is pretending like they love WNBA, but they're just watching for CC. Watch the ratings drop from now on.
Wrong
She got mugged. The eye gouges from hell.
@@ByGriPhone I never pretended that. I always said the only reason I watched is because of Clark. I absolutely hate the WNBA. Always have and I always will. It is truly awful.
Caitlin is the BEST of the BEST ! NO COMPETITION ! SHE IS AWSOME ! She does not deserve all the hate and aggression that she is getting. Leave her ALONE. STOP PUNISHING HER FOR BEING GOOD !
