Guys, we were at a track last week that started off sloppy wet and they got it worked down and good to go. Than couple laps in folks in the turns we’re getting the hell beat out of them by wet dirt clods. few laps later it was a dust bowl. It’s the nature of the beast. It’s dirt and what you want guys to do? red flag the heat or feature and work the track ? You all wouldn’t whine about that a bit would ya ? (Sarcasm by the way)
I'm convinced. Pursley is better than Seavy is. Over & over this year. The more technical, testy, tricky and slick the track gets. Like a migrating bird, Pursley migrates to the front. Nothing flashy. Nothing dramatic. Nothing to get your attention. Then, all-of-a-sudden...... *_Where the hell did Pursley come from?_* I'm a fan. Didn't necessarily want to be. He forced me.
Eldora just keeps getting worse and worse. We went to the Kings Royal maybe 10-12 years ago. Got there around noon on Saturday. It was blazing sun and fairly hot. The track was a desert - dry as bone -. Around 2- 2:30 they did one lap with the water truck around the top and that was it all day and all night. I wouldn't spend a nickel going back to that crap hole. Anybody else out there remember the opening of the season several years ago when USAC cancelled the season openers for both the midgets and sprints during practice because of the dust. I'm glad Smoke saved the joint when Earl sold it but he's crapped all over the surface ever since he's owned it. Smokes listened to way to many late model drivers and owners who just have to have a dry slick ice rink to race on. FK THAT and FK sitting in a fkng dust bowl. Save your money folks and go someplace else. Eldora used to be a legend, now it's just dusty crap hole.
No one is twisting your arm to go you know? And that’s cool. Just more room for us country boys who don’t mind some dirt in our beer. You can stay in your bubble at home. You Ain’t gonna be missed by me.
