To me, Amy's bar routine is SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!!!!!!! She is #1 on my list of BETTER-EST gymnast of ALL TIME! I look at her and I think SIMONE BILES WHO?!?!
I love her but the score is way too nice. This was part of the Americans problem going to Sydney. The home judges were throwing out way to high scores and ignoring all their faults just because there was nobody better. It did them a huge dis-service and led to a rude awakening at the games when all their scores generally were much lower.
I don't think it was a rude awakening. They didn't expect much more than they accomplished in Sydney, especially after Trials after the Karyolis beaten the team up down before the Olympics leading to more injuries and gymnasts not at their peak conditioning, which is normal for the Karyolis. It also wasn't like the team was inexperienced internationally as they knew how they were scoring there (like at 1999 Worlds...now that was a rude awakening in terms of performance and readiness), and the scores at Trials seemed lower and more in-line with how they were scoring internationally. If anything, they seemed happy with how they did in Sydney because that team got a lot of crap and were ignored by USAG for so long until they got that bronze medal after the Chinese were stripped of it AND after all the abuses by the system started to be taken more seriously.
@@SDoesNotKnow Yup. That and a lot of the falls that I recall were from gymnasts on the floor where it was later found out there were 3 deadspots. So many uncharacteristic falls on the floor that year. What an embarrassment.
One of the most underrated gymnast in gymnastics history. Her level of difficulty was always ahead of her time.
Why she was called "The Trickster"! =)
That full twisting back is awesome!! And she's a doctor now!! Amy Chow is the best :)
Amy Chow: making literally all other human beings on the planet look under-accomplished by comparison. :D
What a dismount!!! :O
She really had crazy difficulty!! Underrated

Imagine being so good that the apparatus your coaches are most worried about, looks like this.
