I loved Templehof. I was there for 4 years (1968-1972) . This was the best Duty I had in over 20 years of millitary service. Berliners are great people . I hope to visit there again someday. "Love you Berlin!"
Hi, Giuseppe. In the early 70s I was part of the British Security Services and flew into Tempelhof several times. One of the urban myths at the time was that Tempelhof was, from above, shaped as a German eagle. Thanks for publishing the video.
Giuseppe Maria Galasso Hello again. Giuseppe. Well, we didn't have the benefit of cloud free Google Planet at the time lol. I have since looked at the area and with a big stretch of imagination, there is a crude eagle like appearance, but, I would have to say no, unless you like Dali lol
this airport building should be preserved because of the architecture and historical significance. But more often than not these building are torn down for new things. i was there in Berlin several years ago and had the chance to go by bicycle to Templehof from my hotel. Its quite the structure.

Thank you Ian! Having landed at Tempelhof several times you can probably say whether the myth is true or no :-)

+chuckwin100 It's impressive. And probably will survive because a new real estate project was blocked with a referendum.
