Thanks a lot, it's sometimes really confusing because when you import for example a smoke simulation, it covers the whole scene with white smoke, leaving no space for other objects to be seen. I'm happy I found out that I can actually adjust the density! Thanks for the tutorial, you deserved my like.
Im rendering the vdb in a low light scene, but it makes a lot of noise. how to I reduce the noise? ussually with light, we can bump up the sample. but im don't see any sample parameter for the vdb
Thank you so much for your amazing videos. do you know where I could find more resource/tutorials on VDB and Renderman? i have purchased a fire vfx element and can't seem to activate the reflection of the fire on the surface. any tips are advice is truly appreciated.
My pleasure Navid, it's great to hear you've found them useful. Unfortunately I don't have any useful suggestions off the top of my head for VDB and Renderman. As I haven't worked with Renderman, I hope you find the answer to your reflection question soon. Cheers, Ben
Do you know if this will work with Redshift? I know redshift doesn’t support bifrost fluids but since its openVDB from embergen then maybe it will render fine

Glad to hear it helped, thanks for letting me know!
This helped sooo much! I had no concept of what a vdb file was. Thanks for this!!
Thanks! Glad it helped!
GREAT tut man. Thanks for sharing. Very cool.
Great, my pleasure, thanks for letting me know :)
how do i create my own stuff like bifrost?
When loading the vdb to the volume I dont have the density nor the flames options, pls help :(
thanks this helped a lot
Hi, how do I set the start frame ?
Im rendering the vdb in a low light scene, but it makes a lot of noise. how to I reduce the noise? ussually with light, we can bump up the sample. but im don't see any sample parameter for the vdb
how do I change the time of the vdb, as in I want to make it start from frame 700 instead of frame 0
I have the density and temperature option.. but no flames.. so in the centre of the fire its showing black marks..

great,i am importing vdb from houdini to maya but while rendering i cant see shadow on fluid,i am using vray
Oh wow, thank you so much kind sir!
Thanks - glad to help!
Thank you! Do i need bitfrost to be installed /active in Maya in order to render a VDB sequence?
You're welcome! Also, I'm not aware of Bifrost being required - but please let me know if this has changed. :)
is there a way I can set start frame for the vdb sequence ?
I want the first frame of vdb to start at 30th frame in maya. please help me!
I figured it out thanks
Nice :)
@KONG L Project it was a year ago I forgot sorry lol I'll let you know tho
@KONG L Project At 0:24 in the attribute editor add expression to "Frame" I guess that should work let me know if it doesn't
Hey, how can I make it an infinite loop? is it possible?

Yeah, it should work fine :)

@@SnapLaunch thanks so much! This is all very new to me.
Thanks so much for this!
My pleasure!
thanks man
