Your dad sounds like an amazing man. Very thoughtful and sweet. And your mother is so brave. I can’t even imagine. As far as your pup goes I can tell you about my experience. My male, Snoopy, started getting these sores. They started out as pimple like then spread and became crusty. He was going in every month for an antibiotic injection. Finally we did an allergy panel on him and he was basically allergic to everything. Even grass! Put him rx food = I.D. from Hills Science Diet. It was pretty much the only food that didn’t have any allergens in it. He’s been fine ever since. Hasn’t had one skin issue and it’s been about 4 yrs now. Thanks for the WIP n Chat! It was kinda funny because while you were having a thunderstorm we were too!

Hi Kim, thank you for your story about your parents. Your Dad was an amazing man.
My Grandma Sefton came from Nova Scotia to NYC when she was 15 and her sister Janey was 23. They went from Halifax to NYC on a White Star Liner. They had a six weeks visitor pass.
When Grandma was in her late teens she went to work for JJ ASTOR. Hee job was to be his daughter Lady Maid. Well, you know what happened to Astor. Later my Grandma was working for the senator of Rhode Island. It was 1918, and the Federal government said anyone who was foreign and didn't have papers would have to leave. The one way they could stay was to marry. So, the chauffeur Frank Sefton said he would marry my Grandma.
When I got my lower GI, I was very nervous when I arrived at the hospital. I saw there was a bake sale. I told my Mom to get me a Blueberry Muffin and Coffee to have after I was done.
I was taken into a room and I put on a hospital gown. Well, I was not able to relax. I became a Chatty Kathy. My doctor who would be doing the lower GI, kept telling the nurse to give me a shot to relax me. I don't remember how many shots I received. The next thing I remember is a nurse shaking saying it was time to leave. I remember telling her I had to get dressed. She said I was dressed. I told my Mom I never had my Blueberry Muffin and Coffee. My Mom said I did. Okay! The year was March of 2001. To this day I have no memory of that day. Except for going out to Margueritas on that night. Which meant it must have been Monday. My Mom was a party animal. Plus, she was the world's oldest Hippie.
My parents, sister and I had five dogs. One we purchased. The rest were strays left on the property. One was a six month old Chocolate Lab Golden Retriever mix. We named him Yogi Bear. Yogi's fur fell off of him. The Veterinarian had us change his diet. Nothing worked. So the Veterinarian kept Yogi for a few days and ran tests on him. When we went to pick Yogi, the Veterinarian said Yogi was allergic to grass. Our property is an 1/2 are of all grass. So we had to give Yogi a Benadryl daily, and he went to the Veterinarian every six weeks for a Steriod shot.
I love hearing your stories Kim, please keep them up. Oh yes, when Herschel barks he sounds like a Rottweiler.
Your parents story sounds sweet. The doctor would probably enjoy chatting with your mom during your next appointment. Hope Mugi gets well soon.

I miss it. 😅 Glad you did okay on your colonoscopy. ✅ I was laughing about you talking about your Moms era in her life where things weren’t up to par… internet & etc. I was born in 1953 & can relate. See… I’m old enough to be your Mom. Lol We had to walk to school in the snow for miles…. Up hill & down…. And all the way back. 😅

I hope that Mugi is okay. I loved hearing that story about your mom and dad in Korea and I was tearing up about the letter. Glad that you're a colonosphy (sp?) went well also. I had one also , and the prep made me go very quickly.😅 I loved hearing the rain and seeing that lightning in your video. ❤😊❤
Hi Diane! Mugi is better! I think she has a very sensitive stomach. She keeps feeling poopy for a day here and there.
Honestly, the prep wasn’t too horrible. Well, I guess I can say that now 😂😂😂
My border collie wouldn't go into the water when I'd go to the beach, she'd run away from the surf all the time, I was not happy. Maybe watch Ceaser Milan for some tips on dog behavior. Nice canvas. Thanks for sharing the story of your parents, that was very cool.

My dog has allergies too. Its awful to deal with if it gets bad. I'm sure you know not to give human peanut butter to dogs unless its natural. There's an ingredient in it that can make dogs sick. Its Xylitol
Hi Wendy! I think it was an allergy of some kind. I did know about xylitol. I only have natural peanut butter in my house. I did get her one with palm oil in to be a natural no stir to sit in the kong better. But I think she can’t have it. Makes me so sad. She really loved it! 😭
