You crack me up, I enjoyed hearing about the retreat experience. I used to look at people who had to go to the restroom frequently and be thankful (and proud) that I could hold for hours. Now.... I'm one of "those people" 😂😂
It’s so funny how we are so much alike! I am very shy also and was perfectly content diamond painting. I’ve never jumped so quickly to get out of the hot tub. It’s an experience I won’t soon forget. Thanks for the shoutout!!! ❤
Hi Karen, I totally understand feeling like that! It isn’t as scary as it sounds. Everyone is very nice and welcoming. And I think most people there are on the same wavelength. Just a Shy crafter looking to share a common ground 🤗
I'm so glad you had a great experience. Sounds like it was a lot of fun. Im really looking forward to next year's and getting the chance of meeting you. Have a great day
It sounds like you had a wonderful time at the retreat and one of these days I'm going to get to one somehow. I love the bling that you bought from Tina and I have used those a lot and love them. I have also done a couple of her diamond paintings and really love them. The one she had done up for the retreat was beautiful. ❤😊❤
Hi Kimba! Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the retreat. Love all the swag bag goodies! The swag bag is very cool. The frog painting is adorable. I am so happy we get to meet next year in Richmond😍. Looking forward to get together🥰🥰
Hi Sylvia! Omg I’m so excited to meet you and Jack! Maybe we can get rooms next to each other?!🤗🤗 are you rooming with Jack? Debbie and I will be rooming together. It would be nice if we were close to one another ♥️
I’m so glad you shared all of your adventures and chart changes!!! Especially glad to see Mugi 😊❤ I am 1/3 through the silver husky from DAC, it maybe my last DAC. (Gapping and drill quality 😕) I have two Bella Art De Nicole waiting for my table 🎉. The Koi and to catch a million dreams. I’ve got to order this squirrel 🐿️ so adorable. I really appreciate the way you share the way to make the canvases more personal.
Hi Marla! Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the Wip! I’ll be sharing all the changes I do, in the future as well. I enjoy sharing and hopefully helping and giving ideas! I just saw a couple people post about gapping with DAC as well. I wonder if the grid has changed again? I was worried about gapping when I did Mountain Castle, when I first started. I felt like there was less gapping in the other company’s canvases. But as I continued on, I realized when I turned the light pad off I couldn’t see any gaps. It looks amazing done. Do you have gapping with the light pad off?
@@kimbaskrafts it’s not bad with the light pad off and I’m sure framed from viewing distance it will be fine. It’s just when I see my Bella Art de Nicole next to it there’s a clear difference in the quality. Also, the silver husky is the largest one I’ve done. putting this much time into one, I think my perfectionist “Polly” sometimes has a meltdown 🫠 trying to keep the squares, the darker colors and all that together 🙀 I am learning to break it down to rows, and squares, working it by sections and it’s going to be ok. I did change the hair inside the husky to Pixie dust from ab white, that made a beautiful difference. Thanks for the encouragement 💐
I have gone to Sauder Village but it was YEARS ago when my 37 year old son was little! I used to live in Toledo, Ohio for 5 years back in the late '80s. Glad you had a great time! I live in Northwest Indiana now and if I knew about that retreat in time to get a reservation, I would have driven to get there like you are planning to do next year when you go to the Virginia retreat. Debbie mentioned she had no idea that you were so tall. 🤣Thanks for the wip & chat - I always enjoy your videos. You are so warm and open with your viewers. Have a great weekend!
Hi Kim! That is so funny! It was a very cute hotel! 😂😂 I think I look taller than I am. My legs are longer and my torso short. So people always ask me if I’m 6 feet tall, but I am not😅 I’m 5’8”. I so appreciate you watching! Sorry this is sosososososo late! I’m trying to get through all the comments and make sure I haven’t missed any!❤️
Hi Kim, good morning from Southern California. Love hearing about the retreat. Like you I am very shy, plus I am lefthanded. I have flown with the big three: American Airlines ( most of the time) Delta, and United airlines. Very few problems with any of them. The only time there was a problem was when my Dad, sister and friend were flying with Continental and the plane was hit by lightning. We( everyone) was told we were going to have to make an emergency landing. We were told what to do. My friend started screaming. I wanted to disappear. I mean we were coming into our home airport LAX. No matter what my friend threw her head back and continued to scream at the top of her lungs. She ignored the flight attends, and anyone else. She scream ed until the plane got to the gate. Some firemen came on. They went my friend who was still screaming, and told her everything was okay. I remember walking off, and my friend was shaking. She was meet by her Dad. Her Dad told her" Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. My friend started to scream again. This time my Mom took her my the arm and went with her into the Ladies room. My sister and I followed. Basically my Mom told my friend she was making a fool of herself. My Mom told her, that she was seeking unwanted attention. I really don't think anyone had read my friend the Riot Act before my Mom. My friend still screams at things. I don't know if I told you, but back on June 16th I was going to work on Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy Collins. I didn't realize I had my reading glasses on, and tripped over the leg of my coffee table ( era 1980s). I was a mess. I knew I chipped my front teeth. It wasn't until I went to the ER on Monday did I realize everything else. I had broke my nose, futher injured the Lumbar area of my back, traumatized my knees, which were sprained and bruised. I feel like an idiot. A 67 year old idiot. I saw my Orthopedic and he said I have Arthritis in my Lumbar area, which most likely was caused by a serious injury. Yes, it was. On October 1, 1987 at 7:42am when we had a major earthquake. I was hanging on near the kitchen sink. I decided to try to sit on the floor. The next thing I knew I was up in the air, then hit the ground on my derriere. I am always discovering gravity. So, almost 40 years later I am still paying fot discovering gravity. I would like to attend a retreat. But,I am not a creator, a vendor, or small shop person. So, I don't know. I really don't know. Your puppy is so cute. My Herschel will be 11 years old next month. My late sister and I got Herschel from the local shelter in December of 2013. I very wonderful Christmas gift for ourselves. I nice gift for me and our Cocker Spaniel Darwin, because my sister died from STAGEIV BREAST CANCER.
Such great items from that retreat. How did you find a retreat? I love all those products. Looked into BellaArts, great site. There were so many nice things, where did you get the small drills to replace your squares that you were talking about, the really small ones to replace the squares? I watched a couple times, but couldn't figure out whose company it was. I love panda licorce, so much softer than any that I have ever had, better than Wallabys.
Hello’ sorry for this late response! I’m trying so hard to catch up! And stay catched up!😂😂 Catched…not a word. And this is why it takes so long to respond to people! I’m trying to remind myself it’s ok to just say thank you! Retreats are listed on a fb group page: facebook.com/share/g/QTvqj9PqXKaAyDS7/?mibextid=K35XfP And yes! What Christy said DpWithSparklers! The retreat sounds awesome, so glad you enjoyed it! I'm actually less than an hour from Archbold. Do they have the retreat there every year? Would love to go! The WIP you're working on is beautiful! ❤

Hi Cynthia! Oh it would be awesome if you could go. No this retreat is not just for creators. It’s for everyone! Last I heard there were 10 spots left. I don’t know if the group is for everyone or just people attending. But here’s a link… facebook.com/share/wQgmz1EEybpYrX4Q/?mibextid=K35XfP
