@@MattsCigarsAndWhisky Thank you for you reply. Not out me off in the least bud. Yes I like eagle rare and especially as it's £10 cheaper than Elijah Craig. Woodford is also exceptional especially when it goes to £20 on occasion, or indeed Tin cup which I find to be very smooth.
I personally am a huge fan of Jim Beam and am trying desperately to get one of each of their bottles but you know how hard it is in England to get stuff, never mind at a fair price.
Ive got a collection of about 60 bottles so far but always on the lookout.
@@anthonyellison4737 that sounds like some collection you have. I keep trying to get a pappy to review but it's like gold dust over here and I've never had any luck in the ballots online. Cheers 🥃🥃
@@MattsCigarsAndWhisky Have you tried contacting the importer and getting put on their list? They do a draw to allocate the bottles they receive, like many stores do in America (they are the only ones that are the official importer). You will still get gouged on price but a lot closer to MSRP than the secondary market. The company is called HiSpirits in London. I've had no luck so far though lol. Whenever I see sold prices on auction sites I always see some luck bastard get a bottle of pappies or the antique collection for a ridiculously low price...... I even emailed Pappy can winkles website and actually got a response personally from J Preston Van Winkle himself, which was nice.
@@anthonyellison4737 I had not done that no!! I will now contact them and get on the list. I'm just really intrigued to see if they live up to the hype. I am sure they will as they have such a legendary status in the bourbon world.
What's your accent? You sound like an Ipswich boy
Originally from Peterborough mate but lived in Ipswich for 25 years now .... Well spotted 🥃🥃
It's awful. I poured it away. Do not buy it. Unless you want a laugh. Stick to the real deal brands. It is the same old Aldi nonsense. Avoid. This is why I never shop in Aldi. Calling this a Bourbon is a disgrace. Kentucky sort yourself out and ban this carry-on.
It really is bad isn't it!!! They definitely dropped the ball with this one 🥃
