- This video discusses what Velosurance Bicycle Insurance covers and how much it costs to cover my Brompton T Line and Brompton Superlight. It is always a good idea to be as safe as you can so I think this will help many bicyclists that ride anywhere in the United States.
Please check out their website and give them a call for more details and coverage offerings that you may be looking for. I am not affiliated with Velosurance. I am simply a customer so please contact them for information that you are looking for.

Great video! I never knew they had bike insurance. Thank you for making this video.
Hello Shu I’ve been looking at some insurance for the T and this sounds like a good one. Thank you for sharing !!!!!!!
Hi Victor. Yes please look into it. It gives me some peace of mind.
I signed up for Velosurance last year and insured my C Line for $2,700 but they quoted my premium for $320 as I opted for a higher liability coverage of $100,000 per accident.
That is good coverage.
Been enjoying the bft channel particularly as I’m bringing my Brompton to New York from the uk in a couple of weeks time! Can I just ask how do you manage with having bike with you when visiting places in Manhattan, eg museums, shops etc? I guess as long as it’s folded and carried it’s not an issue.
It depends on the place. I would check ahead of time if you are able to check it into coat rooms (you will need a bike bag cover) at museums. I've never had a problem with a restaurant except they may ask you to leave it in a certain area. I always carry my Tiger Mini Lock.
Olá boa noite
If you have a car then I read that people increase some non insurance motorist part of it.
This seems like a good idea for insurance if you have a pricey bike like yours.
New Brompton maybe coming next = the all new aluminium version, the CEO doesn’t like the price of the titanium, he said last week he thinks the price is to high and they just brakes even with that model , which is not sustainable going forward, so we get a lighter bike for less price = wow about time.
Doesn't a aluminum bike ride stiffer than Ti? With small wheels it might be more brutal
@@whodunit5621 they are after a lighter bike but without the price tag of titanium , many road bikes that are made of aluminium are actually much better than carbon, don’t tell the carbon suckers that , they will get annoyed.
Titanium is definitely pricey, but they are selling out constantly so I would imagine they can simply raise the prices.
@@BromptonFamilyTime You’re missing the point , The CEO doesn’t want money to be their message of the company, he wishes it to be cheaper they just about cover the cost as it is , charging more is not their ethos , example they are going to bring out a new wheel that has tubeless tyre, he was ask that would mean one has to change the bike, nonsense he said just change the wheels , you don’t want to change the bike that has memories of good times , so they sell a lot of bikes but it’s not always about money it’s also for the experience and to get more people out of the tons of dirty metal boxes called cars polluting the air we breathe especially in our cities, are they good bikes yes, are they well engineered yes, do they last along time yes, lots of yeses there, more companies around the world could learn from the messages that Brompton is trying to deliver, is money the only answer = you can’t take it with you to the final destination, the Egyptian’s tried but got robbed.
I hope they do. birdys work fine with aluminium.
I don't know..... One of the main advantages of using a bike for transport is that you don't need insurance.
That is probably true for most locations. Riding in New York is not the same.
What if a thief mugs you and steals the bike while you’re out riding?
Since it is insured I would not fight back. I'm too old lol.
I guess I'd move... Or buy a cheaper bike until I am able to move.@@petekadenz2466
