My husband was born with cerebral palsy and he is doing fabulous . His parents worked with him while he was younger and he after nine operations he was able to walk at 9 years old. He’s lived a fairly normal life including owning his own business and he’s just turned 70 a few no months ago. People with CP can live a great life . I came across your Channel tonight New subscriber .
My mom did the same thing for me I did physical therapy and I could walk after I was 4 I had to have operations as a teenager. I'm now almost 40. I have my own UA-cam channel now too wanting to share hope for people and knowledge. I was excited to see her channel doing the same thing.
Rachel & Hunter, I absolutely LOVED today's video. You are both working so hard to help Beckham succeed in all things. His smiles are infectious, and the giggles with dad are just too cute! I was amazed to see how fast he flips over and gets moving on his bed! I would enjoy seeing more videos like this one. I can't get enough of Beckham and watching he and Blakley playing together.
I loved watching Beckham's day. He is doing so well. You and Hunter are such a great team. I also loved watching Blakely with her stacking cups as she was problem solving and working her fine motor getting them to stack and nest. That is my favorite part of working with kids is watching their learning process and seeing that little light bulb come on. They are both so sweet and I love those little smiles.
I really appreciate you being so vulnerable and showing the hard parts in addition to how amazing Beckham is doing. He and you work so hard and have so much love for each other and it shows. And like you said, with the G tube he doesn't have to be pushed to a point where eating is traumatic. 💕💕
Some major patience is needed when it comes to dealing with kids and people that have disabilities and medical problems and i do have to say that you are doing actually a really good job mama. Keep up the good work.
I have cerebral palsy. I've had three surgeries by the age of 10. I definitely will not become a catwalk model any time soon but I walk. CP never stopped me from living to the fullest, even though my mom has been told by doctors that I am destined to be a vegetable. Today I am married, have 4 kids and cannot be happier! Wishing Beckham very best!
so proud of beck for how he handled the new food! he threw up but recovered quickly, and he didnt fight the spoonful! he's so powerful and brave (and way too dang smart - i think he knew it wasn't HIS food before it hit his mouth)
Hi Rachael, have you thought of gradually mixing in your home made food with the packet food. For example the food that he loved in the morning, give it to him again for lunch with one spoonful of your homemade mixed in and then slowly as he accepts this increase the portion. My hat goes off to you for your dedication and awesome job you are doing.
I just can’t get enough. The 2 of them together is absolutely precious. They was Beckham smiles at Blakey just melts my heart. You can tell she is going to be very protective of her big bub and he of her as well.
Absolutely adorable! I just came across your channel and I love it! I was born 3 months early with spastic cerebral palsy. Thank you for making your channel...binge watching yall! Love from Florida 💚
Love this video my daughter has cp she amazes me every day on this journey of life we are living everyday. She is 6 yrs old now, I remember some doctors telling me that she want walk or talk , but now my daughter is walking and talking so much in English in Spanish. we are still in thearpy as well. God chooses strong people to be mothers and fathers of kids with special needs. You are such a wonderful mother.
O my gosh that part of Beckham bringing up the food honestly made me cry, my one son was exactly the same, anything with texture was a no no so he lived off yoghurt and mash and gravy which obviously wasn't very beneficial he was majorly under weight.....now i cant get the kid to stop eating, it actually scares me for when he becomes a teenager because he is only turning 5 next month. With time and tons of patience he will get there. I dont think there is anyone else that has the amount of patience like you do. You are doing amazing mama
I just found my first video of you to watch and I am truthfully amazed more parents especially moms need to be as loving and as devoted to their children especially handicap like that you are an amazing woman kudos to you girl
You and Beckham work really hard! I grew up with a sister who had CP. She was a sweet and gentle soul with a lot of spunk! You and your husband are doing a great job!
Hi all of you beautiful people! I am a retired RN, mom of 3 (1st born was a set of full term fraternal twin girls ( weighing in at a total of 15 lbs!) 2nd born was a 36 week premie with heart and lung problems. It seems so strange my baby was taking the same meds I gave my CCU patients! To try not to be too long winded, he is a perfectly healthy guy now, with his own family now. What I really wanted to mention was my oldest grandson, who was very early diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum with lots of sensory input issues. Watching you feeding Beckham his chicken and corn brought it all rushing back! ANY change, even thickening his formula secondary to reflux, was such a struggle. What we did, per instructions from his dietician and nutritionist, was to gradually add something new to a packet of something we knew he liked. And I mean like one teaspoon to a whole packet of baby food! It took forever, but it did eventually do the trick! I'm just wondering, because though it sounds quite yummy to me, Beckham had several variables presented to him - texture, temperature, and a new food item. I won't even talk about new testers- that's a storey for another time. You and Hunter are fantastic parents! Your babies are so blessed to have you two. You two give me such hope for the future. Keep doing what you're doing. Love from Kentucky!
Beckham is actually doing really good. He will get the food part down. Just stay patience, positive attitude and keep trying. Don't give up on the little man. He needs all of the love and support from mama and daddy but at the same time, yes little beautiful baby girl needs some to. It takes a lot of hard work and time and dedication to deal with disabilities people but as he gets older and you, parents keep helping him then you will continue to handle it well and work everything out for him and for the whole family. So proud. Parents, you need to be proud as well. Good job.
Your kids are beautiful! Beckham needs a lot of help but I pray all of the physio etc will make his life easier one day soon. Kudos to you and Hunter! ❤️🇨🇦
My nephew too has Cerebral Palsy. Your son is really great but, you already no this. Their are going to be challenges but, don't underestimate him. Our wonderful Logan is now a adult and married. We as a family just did everything with Logan just extra special stuff so he was always included. We raised our children for everything outdoors. So once Logan could drive his own 4 wheeler you bet he too had one and the best of the bunch and run with all the kids when they were out. Everyones homes were prepared with ramps so he can come and go as he pleased when he became a teenager. His speech improved over the years but, we all just always understood him. He can do everything we do just his way. These babies from above are given to the most loving and patient parents..you have many happy moments ahead with your angel.
You and Beckham work so well together. As someone else, it's nice you show us everything. Beckham is doing so well. At least Beckham tried the food. Blakley is getting strong too. They are so cute together.
You can run the baby food through a fine mesh strainer to get any bits out and you can actually feed that through the tube. That's what you do with a home blended diet
Thank you so much for this video we r going through getting my sons diagnosis of cerebral palsy and been looking for videos of family’s on her to see what they do day to day and yours is the only one I have found x
Your reflexes are amazing! Poor Beckham! I understand being scared of new textures but it is important to try more and more each day! Hope you guys have the best of times! When he is older and can stand the texture of that food you were feeding him, maybe try oatmeal! Because it is very important to extend his time! You guys are the best oF the best parents! Don’t forget that that!!
My nephew is now 19yrs old and he was born with disabilities. We were told he would never walk, but he walks and is one fo the smartest kids I know. So keep being a great mom and that precious baby boy will just fine with a great mother by his side!!! More subscribers 😀😃🙂
Beckham could not ask for better parents. You are handpicked by the Lord for your love and dedication is absolutely divine and unconditional just as our Heavenly Father. What a journey and awesome testimony, you as parents are. My prayers is with you constantly, and the amazing growth and healing is absolut, Gods favour and blessings to you inspite of the trauma you went threw. Lol.. and remember your strenght and patience is in His enormous Love that conquers ALL...🙏
Hey! I noticed we had the same style of bed for our boys. My sons 55 lbs and it's started to get too difficult to get him in and out. Do you guys plan on getting a medical grade bed? 🥰 if not, what's the next step of bed style you guys will have in mind for him?
You guys are fng AWESOME!!! SO STRONG!!! The nicest sweetest parents - Beckham is hands down the most beautiful little man and when he gets older he's going to be even more handsome!!! The girls will all have crushes on him haha- he's such a strong boy he's great and you guys help him so so much you're the best ❤- I'm binging all your videos bc I just found your channel! Love you guys
I really love your videos. Both your children have beautiful smiles so much so, I catch myself smiling everytime they do. I am thankful you decided to share with us daily. Rachel, you are courageous for starting your channel. So happy you did....your channel is going to grow very fast, I feel it...
I see what you mean Rachel!!!! Totally as far as feeding little Becham!!! He is too cute!!!! Thanks for letting us see u feed him!!!! Beckham is so smart, he knows when that texture changes!!! I agree with your other viewer!!! I hope your channel accelerates real fast with subscribers and sponsors so Hunter can stay with you and be a stay at home father too!!!!!!!💜💙💕💗💚
Your skin is radiant, you look blooming, a few days ago I got the cerave filter but when I put it on my face it all wiped off after I started powdering, at the end of the day my painted eyebrows melted - what am I doing wrong? is it a matter of not using primer and spreading it with my fingers and not a sponge
Aww! That is a fun day Beckham! 💙💙💙 Don't worry, food textures will become easier. My son struggled with food color and food textures for a few years. Then something clicked and he started enjoying them. You will come to it in your time. Apple Chicken sounds super yummy, so I can't blame you for enjoying the heck out of that right now. 🙂💙💙
It broke my heart to see Beckham have such a hard time with the new texture! My brother Blake used to throw up a lot when he was younger too due to his condition as well, I can’t imagine how hard that was for my mom and how hard it IS for Rachel. Blake does he full solids orally now and probably eats more than any of us!!! I know Beckham will be eating pizza with the family soon. Sending so much love 💙💜💙💜
I really enjoy your videos.i am excited to see Beckham s progress! Trial and error is good. Did you ever think about starting a support for other moms You are really 👍 at this
Wow what a work our for our little warrior in his gate trainer, but he’s doing so great. With Karl who had an extremely sensitive pallet and GI system when we introduced solids at age 3 we used minced chicken that was puréed, gradually making it causer through the months. But we only ever used one food at a time but he could not stomach corn until he was five or six, and even then it was only barely. I’m so pleased you have his feeding port. Another thing we did with Karl is give him a half hour of food play. Initially he would squash all the foods and we would have to clean off his hands but after a while in the course of playing he got to taste banana, mash potatoes, puréed sweet potato, sweet pumpkin but discovered he was carotene sensitive so we could not give him anything yellow or orange. So we mashed and strained peas, puréed soft fruits like strawberries, raspberries and black berries before long we were able to give him chicken or a puréed vegetable, followed by a pudding of one of the fruits he showed us he could tolerate. He was lactose and gluten intolerant and could not have nuts or fish as we have family members allergic to these and we did not feel it was worth risking his progress when there were other alternatives. One of the earliest foods we were able to regularly feed once a day was rice meal porridge but could not put anything but a little honey in it. I know you have a fabulous team around you, but I just wanted to share what we did with our little boy, who still has an aversion to dairy, is gluten sensitive and has to monitor his intake of yellow vegetables or he can become quite unwell. That said for the most part he eats what he likes, is a chef and it does not appear to have adversely affected him. He was small in stature until his late teens but now he is a full functional adult, 5’11” tall. Hang in there and also we froze and dried the puréed fruits for Karl. He would suck on the mini ice lollies we made and he would put the dehydrated fruit leathers in his moth without actually having to eat the fruits. When freezing his fruits we did use the banana base to make them creamy. We also used frozen coconut cream. Karl tolerated cool to cold food best. We are rooting for our champion he will suddenly flourish once he loses his fear of food. It is a slow arduous journey, but so worth it in the end. Also, let him attend parties etc so he can experience the joy of socialising with food as it normalises the process.
Bless you for trying the new food. He’s so smart, I do think he already knew it was different. I wonder why it gets his gag reflex going so actively. Rachael does he ever wear shoes to keep his feet from contracting? I know the Walker helps but I thought I was seeing foot drop a bit. Your both the best and sissy just cracks me up everyday if I ever met them I would want to snuggle them up!❤️❤️
Your such an amazing mom no matter what people that don't matter say. You can see the love you have for" BOTH CHILDREN" speaking of that i can't believe people say ms.blakely isn't affectionate they obviously don't watch your videos on a daily basis. much love to your family keep up the amazing work mom and Beckham ❤
She is affectionate, funny and beautiful. A little strong willed like one of mine, grown now but they grow up so smart and hands on creative. Something precious about strong willed children. It may not always seem like it when teaching them. I see very good things in her.
you should get a data drive for all your videos, pictures, documents etc either that or use a cloud to save to. love from Scotland❤❤❤🏴🏴🏴
"What's wrong? :D Is there something in your eyeballs?" :D That's so cute and encouraging, yet creepy and unsettling. Perfection, considering he likely doesn't know what that means, but it's said with a positive attitude to promote a learning environment.
Rachel I would transfer your files from sim to a disc or something so you always have a backup of all your precious memories so you have them forever. I love watching your videos thanks for letting us all be apart of your family xx
Beckham so rocks! I loved watching the video. As for the chicken and corn food. When I was younger the only way that I could tolerate corn was in very mashed potatoes. I can't eat it anymore. Corn isn't really digested well by anyone. The smell may also bother him Keep trying and go Beckham. Love you you all!
We’ve been fostering a little boy that has cerebral palsy he had a stroke in utero. He’s just now four years old and he’s been with us for two years and four months and let me tell you it’s been a giant learning experience and I can’t believe it I haven’t looked on UA-cam till just now to see what other people are doing with their children that has CP. And mainly it’s because he has his temper tantrum fits that we are, not ever sure what to do about it to calm him down. He doesn’t talk he doesn’t walk he doesn’t eat food. He only drinks PediaSure from a baby bottle and we’ve never entertain the idea of a G-tube while people say why don’t you give him one I honestly didn’t know that much about them And watching you give Beckham feeds through a G-tube. It doesn’t seem like it would be that hard but the fact that he’s only had PediaSure since the day he was born or will I don’t know what he had when he was born he was 18 months old when we got him But since then he’s only have PediaSure and we’re barely able to get him to do 32 ounces sometimes it’s 16 ounces because he doesn’t want you to touch his mouth or put anything in his mouth and so it’s only baby bottlefeeding. So I just want to take this moment to thank you for your video. It’s been very enlightening and I’m going to look at some of your others and see what else you’re doing with your son. I know that they’re going to put Lydell up for adoption but I have a feeling it’s going to take a long time.
Beckham has definitely changed!!!! I don't see all the clips but he's definitely not the person that he was! He's seems more alert and entertaining more with you!! He doesn't look stoned and Lethargic! Keep up the good work 👏 👏👏
I know Blakely is a toddler so she cannot understand the impact of her moves. But it still saddens me when she kicks Beckham. Mom is a great teacher though. Looking forward to seeing her grow up and be a protective sister🥰
I have Cerebral palsy and completely understand what it is like to have a kid with it!! Keep fighting Beckham! Love ❤️ your videos!! #Cerebralpzyfighter 💚💚
Awwww he is so cute. God bless him. Hey, I saw your video about your son going to preschool and I wanna just clear something, someone who has a disability, they do understand everything, if he has a disability, which he does, that doesn't mean that he can't understand you or whoever is talking to him. And also, your son can be in "normal" school with "normal" kids in the future. So, just remember that. I'm curious what disability your son has, oops, never mind, I saw the title of this video, lol silly me. That being said, just look into some speaking devices for him cuz he is little right now and you guys can understand him, but, other people might not understand him, and also, if he has a communicator device, he will be more with his words, and more talkative with everyone, take this from who has been there before, so, look into that. I'm telling you right now, he will thank you guys in the future. God bless you and your family! ❤😍👏 P.S. like him, I also have cerebral palsy, so, I can't talk by my own voice or walk by myself, but, If you want to watch my videos, you can, I have a lot of videos about my disability and myself, it's MelMel94 here on UA-cam. I really hope that it will help you guys out, at least, little bit. God bless!
You remind me so much of one of the girls from selling sunset!! btw can i ask since i havent been completely intune with your journey i only just saw the car accident video and pre term labor. I hope im not offending by asking, was the accident related to the cereblar palsy or is it something people get genetic or just some people get it from no reason?
He so great Rachel im sure he filling out more I know how beckham feels I'm disabled and in a wheelchair I have to do so many things on a daily basis and eating im terrible my husband goes mad but I an an adult and I know things as poor beckham only a toddler so it must be so frightening for him I always be brave like beckhanx I love it when hunter in the vl9gs he so funny sure your subscribers are going up I would love to do a day with hunter and babies ❤ you guys x
He is so cute! Next time you could try letting him look at it and smell it for a couple minutes first...waft it to his nose, really let him experience it before eating it. You could even make him a cue, like a spoon glued to a black backing to prepare him and show it to him before eating time, every time and it will represent meal or snack time. Patience is key working with these kids and it always pays off. :) You're doing great.

I was cheering him on through the screen♥️

Hello Ashley how are you doing?
It broke my heart to see Beckham have such a hard time with the new texture! My brother Blake used to throw up a lot when he was younger too due to his condition as well, I can’t imagine how hard that was for my mom and how hard it IS for Rachel. Blake does he full solids orally now and probably eats more than any of us!!! I know Beckham will be eating pizza with the family soon. Sending so much love 💙💜💙💜
Thank you for letting us see part of your life every day God bless you and ur family ❤❤🙏🏼
I really enjoy your videos.i am excited to see Beckham s progress! Trial and error is good.
Did you ever think about starting a support for other moms You are really 👍 at this
Hello Maria how are you doing today?
Blakely is such a helper with her brother looks like she's playing her version of bumper cars with the gate trainer 😂💕
Your both the best and sissy just cracks me up everyday if I ever met them I would want to snuggle them up!❤️❤️
I want to say that you are really good parents and i really love your vibe
Your such an amazing mom no matter what people that don't matter say. You can see the love you have for" BOTH CHILDREN" speaking of that i can't believe people say ms.blakely isn't affectionate they obviously don't watch your videos on a daily basis. much love to your family keep up the amazing work mom and Beckham ❤
So true, our little Miz B is so affectionate it is adorable 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
She is affectionate, funny and beautiful. A little strong willed like one of mine, grown now but they grow up so smart and hands on creative. Something precious about strong willed children. It may not always seem like it when teaching them. I see very good things in her.
you should get a data drive for all your videos, pictures, documents etc either that or use a cloud to save to. love from Scotland❤❤❤🏴🏴🏴
Il est trop mignon avec son joli sourire. Bisous de France
"What's wrong? :D
Is there something in your eyeballs?" :D
That's so cute and encouraging, yet creepy and unsettling.
Perfection, considering he likely doesn't know what that means, but it's said with a positive attitude to promote a learning environment.
My husband has cerebral palsy and we are currently 29 weeks pregnant. ♥️ God is so good.
What great parents you are. Your children look so happy.
Rachel I would transfer your files from sim to a disc or something so you always have a backup of all your precious memories so you have them forever. I love watching your videos thanks for letting us all be apart of your family xx
I would love to try the build bar, but sadly they won't ship to Germany 😣
Hi Rachel I have a question is there a reason why you don't decorate the children's bedroom?
Yeah - no photos on the wall or fridge. Scared to thing how this is off camera
he would shit up the walls
If you blend up a packet of his regular food with just a little bit of something else do you think he would have less of a reaction?
You’re such great parents for them , keep hoping for the best 👏🏽
Angels taking Care of little Angels Praise God 🙌 what A mazing Mother. Beautiful little one.
Prayers and healing Beckham AMEN
He is so cute, I have a son who has similar unique needs I never use the word disabled think unique compliments and fits children much better.
Beckham has definitely changed!!!! I don't see all the clips but he's definitely not the person that he was! He's seems more alert and entertaining more with you!! He doesn't look stoned and Lethargic! Keep up the good work 👏 👏👏
What a sweet boy. God bless you and your family.
I know Blakely is a toddler so she cannot understand the impact of her moves. But it still saddens me when she kicks Beckham. Mom is a great teacher though. Looking forward to seeing her grow up and be a protective sister🥰
Great job eating lunch Beckham, so excited for you 💕
Absolutely beautiful family. Thanks for sharing
You should do a video on your skin care and make a routine that would be awesome.
Could the chicken and vegetable be ground up fine enough and enough liquid added to go through the G tube?
Aww this hit home we recently adopted my uncle that has cebral palsey
I’m sick of this, why are you so pretty 🥹🥹🥹🥹
I have Cerebral palsy and completely understand what it is like to have a kid with it!! Keep fighting Beckham! Love ❤️ your videos!! #Cerebralpzyfighter 💚💚
Hunter is such a good dad!!!!
Hi I have cerebral palsy and I really like watching your videos
Can you explain how the stretching his legs apart will help him? I understand the back/forward leg exercises will help him
“What are you doing?@ “ making sure you get view babe” 😂😂😂
Beckham you are amazing. Great job!!!😀💙
Your kids are sooooooo ADORABLE!!!!
I think he grabbed Blakely’s hand bc he wanted to pull himself forward after seeing her pulling his gait trainer. Such a smart kid
Beckham loves you so much!
Hunter running in the background with Blakely is too cute 🤣
God bless!
AMEN
Hey how'd u come up with the names for them? I think it be cute if u did a little AIT down explaining their names. Just a suggestion
Way to go Beckman you rock little man
I've been meaning to ask. 2 of my 4 were born legally blind, what is his eye sight and what are the chances of it getting worse?
You go push yourself great work b man
Where is that outfit from? It’s super cute!!
