Nigeria have the worlds best youth teams, yet have struggled at both AFCON and particularly the World Cup, for their size, passion for football and player pool, hopefully this marks a turning point. With better development and management of the game, there is nothing stopping nigeria.

In Nigeria, who are far more successful than England in youth team football, there is a large discrepancy in their success rates, despite many Nigerian players starring at youth tournaments to a higher degree than English young players at u-17 level, and yet they are nowhere near as successful at u-20 level.

The penalty was too soft. I doubt we truly deserved it. Chukwueze, Lookman, and Osayi the other short guy that plays for Nantes, should learn to make proper quick passes during counter attacks. Osimhen should also take a deep breath and forget about pressure, when in front of goal..
A better team would have punished us for all those wastages in front of goal.
U have to be in your opponent's box to get a penalty. Hence, well deserve.
Secondly, with the VAR era, nothing is too soft. If you miss the ball and get d leg, it's a penalty.

I agree with you. The team was really lacklustre. I don't think this Nigerian team would go far. The goalkeeper has not really been tested too and looked a bit shaky even though i can tell that he is a little better than Uzoho.

It refers to the normal flow of the game when the ball is in play and both teams are trying to score. It is after the initial shot/throw that the game re-enters open play. PS.
