The villagers wanted to change my mother's burial so that the dowry that was there can continue but was helped by the catholic priest who told them that dowry can be done any other day but my mum will never exist again. I am also from Murang'a , i grew in such environment and i forgave my dad but the pain comes back anytime i remember, i also find it hard to go home and stay ,even now my mum complains he doesn't provide but he no longer fights, he still in alcohol ,when he doesn't have anything he is so good but when he has money, u can't talk to him, i can agree he has no women & he is a mason, got contracts, he has build all houses in the village but ours in still muddy, u can't understand where he takes money, i always pray that he will change
