can you make a video showing the details step by step of how to make this basket? What are the length of the vines and how many needed to make a basket like this? thanks in advance
Hiya, it’s made with 6’ willow for the uprights, and base, and 4’ and 5’ for the sides. Sorting by length sorts by default in width too. About 120 would be the total number of sticks I should think!
More videos is beyond me at the moment unfortunately but there are willow basketmakers who have designed online
courses- try Hanna van Aelst, and also if you are proficient at making baskets with willow already, John Cowan has a good video on how to make a potato basket which has many of the same techniques as this basket.
