Stumbled on this idea while working on a Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 1959 style show opening. Let us know if you want a 10 hour version.
{raises hand)
make it a 20 and we got a deal.
Did you even need to ask 😅
Its baby time.🎉
Yes, please. ❤
These are the voyages.
The voyages will continue until morale improves.
Deployed Sailors anytime in history have entered the chat
So, Voyager, then.
Voyager's Voyages,
Or
This Is The Voyager,
if you will.
these are the voyages, SHIT the title card was too fast!
This is the musical equivalent of blue balls
LOL! You at least deserve one comment commending this very apt analog. Anticipation. Denied. Anticipation. Denied. Repeat until it becomes a Trekie targeted analog for Chinese Water Torture, or, blue balls.
You beat me to this by 11 months lol
Dude play this at a trek con and tell them it's a special remix and don't say a word about the missing theme
Brilliant!
That's how you'll get a lynching or Shatner like seizures
And at the very end play the star wars titles
@@thomascarroll5750 Just tried it, and with the note this ends on it actually works really well. Good catch!
Tell them it's an exclusive special announcement.!!
Genie: You may wish for one thing.
Me: I wish TOS never ended!
Genie: Granted! Here you go:
Genie! I didn't say make it never start!! D=
Genie Roddenberry?
Monkey paw curls a finger...
No No No. It has to be Lt. Uhura: "Careful what you wish for, you may get it."
NO NOT THAT WAY!
Genie: you never specified HOW it never ended now it never started MWAHAHAHAHA
Space, the final frontier
These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise
It's never ending mission
To escape the introduction to the theme song
This is the exact feeling of watching a movie in a dream and you keep waiting for the story to go somewhere.
what's a dream? i never remember mine....though I'm pretty sure i must dream of Eva Green....
Its really hard to articulate, and also a completely different thing, but this kinda gave me the same unsettling energy as the too many cooks video!
Good call
I felt a disturbance... as if millions of Trekkies suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced
That's a frakking wrong reference!
I given star trek has plenty of humour in it... sometimes we must mock ourselves
You missed the joke… he spliced the Death Star blowing up into the video.
@@tbc210 Actually, you missed the joke...
The variation in the flyby's had my attention the entire way through! I'm amazed there wasn't a shot of the red planet flying past a stationary enterprise at some point, maybe if you do the extended cut...
👏" the flying planet "
na then it would become the MIRROR Aurulnauts verse where regional manager vader is actually horrible again.
Saw the title and thought, why would I watch 9 minutes of that? After doing so, I still don't have a concrete answer, yet I'd still watch it again every now and then.
This is the kind of music that plays on loop at an amusement park ride while you wait in line
Why does this work but at the same time give me extreme anxiety?
Because there's never that thematic resolution that we all know and love so well?
Why does breathing work but at the same time circulate oxygen around our bodies?
In the musical cycle of tension and release, this is all tension and no release.
Also it uses the rising pitch technique.
Because they are lying about this ever being the main title. Just a remix.
The episode where the Enterprise crew witness the destruction of the Death Star was always my favourite.
Where they'll be tribble at all.
Oh yeah the last episode of Picard Season 3.
I liked the one where they were running away from the robots that were trying to kill everyone.
Truly iconic
Movie night on "Enterprise," season 5 deleted scene (they were all deleted). It has been a long road, getting from there to here.
Jesus Christ it's like edging. You're waiting for the climax but it never comes.
I hear they make entire videos out of that...
N'edging.... Nerd Edging
I include myself in that group
@@YourCapyBro_windows95_3DPipes N'Edging sounds like a forgotten minor character
Glad I'm not the only one lol
Some things are so revealing and disturbing that they should never be said or written.
It's funny, it gets old, then it comes full circle and gets funny again. Brilliant!
I never thought I'd need Wilford Brimley as opening narrator for TOS in my life, but ....well, here we are.
"Oatmeal... The final frontier. When I got diabetus, I had to make some changes in life and this was one of them. Also, some mild space exploration. My mission: to consume oatmeal on a daily basis and go where no man has gone before."
Yeah, him eating oatmeal while narrating is just everything. "Mhm, oatmeal. I loooove oatmeal."
I read this just before that part started. I didn't believe it until... 😲
Wilford Brimley makes everything better. And more nutritious
Kirk knew the Enterprise couldn't compete with Larry's bass tape, so he just steered clear the whole time.
"May the 4th be with you, I hope you all live long and prosper" - Gandalf
GANDARF!
@@woozertoo "I'm Gandarf! :D "
The audacity to release this on Star Wars Day XD
When you have to create music for a Star Trek flight sim and you've only been given rights to the first 15 seconds of the title music.
I really liked it when the Enterprise snatched the title and flew away it, but probably only because I was emotionally exhausted by the time it happened
You guys are my actual heroes. I've had exactly this musical loop stuck in my head from time to time for years, now it's real. And with stunning visuals as well!
I'm here for Spock and the blonde playing their 2 piece band for the crew. 🖖
Yes, that was actually a good song. Wish it had gone on longer in the episode, but you know limited time and all.
@@Warhammered tbf, they could have just shitcanned the rest of that episode and done a 40 minute jam
This is the type of dream you have as a child when you have got severe flu. Hours of it.
Wilford Brimley always delivers the goods... to space!
While keeping his ragtop down so his hair can blow.
Even if AI leads to the breakdown of civilization and a devolution to a Mad Max-ian wasteland, it will have been worth it if we can manage to get Wilford Brimley inserted into every piece of legacy media.
@RedRocket415 YOUR USERNAME!
Lol
Man this is so good. I also appreciate the very brief use of The Cat From Outer Space at 2:50.
Assignment: Earth!
@@chazmania3644 Ooh you're right, the cat was a different color in the movie. I just realized there's a gap in my viewings of the original series...perhaps that's for the best.
This is the quality content I subscribe for.
At first you're like this is dumb, then you start giggling, then you're just laughing hysterically 😅
Trolling Star Trek while simultaneously trolling Star Wars by putting out a Star Trek video on Star Wars day. Amazing.
Well done, Auralnauts. I was not expecting this. You have successfully merged two of my favorite things - Star Trek and Wilford Brimley memes.
This was so upsetting. Great job!
8:47 AND HERE COMES THE ENTERPRISE WITH A STEEL CHAIR!!!
yall are comic geniuses keep being adorkable
Exactly what it says on the tin and wonderfully frustrating because of it, 10/10
The only channel that can get me laughing out like a dork for the most random reasons possible. From Wilford Brimly to fricking laser tag, and the oddly reacurring cases of kaleidoscopes and dubstep. You're doing God's work.
Laser Commander needs his own action series in my humble opinion. It could be like The Mandalorian, but with more safety...
... and fun.
Can you do DS9 intro with that beautiful french horn. I Will take that as a several hour loop to listen to at night XD
Omg PLEASE. 😂
it already feels like it's an hour long...
I've only sat through 3 minutes of this and I've already started chuckling.
This pairs really well with “Acid Trek”
Since I was a child, and had some miniatures of the ships, I always thought Starfleet's ships looked interesting when backwards and upside down.
You were actually onto something. The Enterprise-D's model was so top-heavy that they filmed all its scenes upside-down.
@@starschwar And, the original concept of the enterprise for TOS was up side down from how they ended up using it.
Same, the first Enterprise upside down is one of my favorite looks for a ship
Never looked at it upside down before this video, but its actually a much better design upside down.
The anxiety I’m feeling at two minutes in is disconcerting.
Well done.
This is actually weirdly timely for me as I literally just discovered TOS two weeks ago, meaning I just started watching it. I've seen all the others hundreds of times but I never thought to dip in to the original.
I had no idea what I was in for.
It kind of feels a little something like this, with the weirdness on full blast lmfao good god 😂
😳
Wilford Brimley never disappoints
It was very satisfying how the time corresponded with a lot of the musical notes.
I shouldn't be laughing at this nearly as hard as I am but every time it does the reset I'm just dying.
5:47 yep now dead.
8:02 got me.
Da-dah!
Da-dah!
Love this! It just keeps going and going and going 😂😂😂 and then the images get weirder and weirder! I want it to end but at the same time I want it to keep going. This is too funny 🤣
God i love you guys. So. Much.
😂😂😂
And the comment section passes the vibe check so fast, the rest of the song feels like it could start any minute now.
😂 And I love the fact you released this on May 4th!
This is like a nightmare/fever dream/psychotic break/long hallucination one might experience during a coma. I don't even remember when, but at some point it slides from simple hypnotic repetitiveness to humorous total bizarreness. Feels like a small taste of mind-warping claustrophobia & space madness that could come from actually spending 5 straight years confined to the inside of this ship. 😵💫😵🤯🥴🤪🫠🤡
The ad break halfway through really sells this IMO.
Great idea. Such a classic emotion inducing song
This is alot funnier than it ought to be.
For me it was the vacant stare of the being masquerading as a Greek god. Every time he turned up I laughed harder. I watched all of TOS a few years ago for the first time, and it seems like almost every other episode they had some jackass all powerful space entity messing with the Enterprise like that.
I can only hope that I received this with half as much love with which it was made.
This is a Trekker's version of "Edging" 😅
It's like a Trekkie version of When Will The Base Drop 😁
This is without a doubt, the most STAR TREK thing I have ever seen!
It's the Shepard tones of intros. Love it.
I’ve been watching a lot of Star Trek TOS lately , when you cut to Apollo staring at Kirk I shit my pants 🤣
so happy this was posted on May the 4th (be with you)
This is the most evil thing I have ever heard! The ultimate tease!
It’s like having a ball in the shooter lane but you don’t plunge.
May the TOS be with you, always.
This is a Shepherds Tone... song
Had the same thought but I'm pretty sure discrete octave drops are just hidden at the beginning of the theme
It gives me anxiety :(
Lo, and so beloved was He, that the He that Is and always will Be, Wilford Brimley would live on forever.
This is pretty much what it's like watching Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Lol
Maybe it never got to the main theme...but where it was going...it got there.
How dare you make only 09:08 minutes of this classic intro? 10 hour version immediately!!!!
Best May the 4th gift ever!
Loving the "Too Many Cooks" vibe
I remember this episode. I was running a high fever back then
*_10 hour version is a must_*
LETS GOOOO!!!!
10 MORE HOURS!
isnt 12 hours the longest or is it 10 now i cant remember lol.
i concur
ok hear me out. a second channel dedicated to just this. put out a 1 second version, a 2 second version, 3 second, 1 minute, 2 minute, 3 minute, hours days etc
Oh boy, that scant handful of chords will be stuck in my head for days!
This is infuriatingly brilliant.
I love how you made it end on the tonic chord.
Another magnum opus! 👏 I loved it.
Captain's log, Stardate 2032.05.1. Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to engage the Enterprise's warp engines. Amidst the uncertainty of our current whereabouts, I fear the ship's crew may be growing restless...
Cymbal player: My time has come!
I am so entertained by this 😂 thanks for the absurd humor in Trek form!!!
Blue balls....
IN SPAAAAACE
TOS is my favorite series... and I absolutely approve of this video. Awesome work, as per usual fella's.
And here we have the theme song to a thousand OCD trekkies screaming in unison
3:01 I remember the episode where the enterprise visited the Death Star
Almost positive that's taken from Trouble with Tribbles. 99% sure.
"Starfleet has received a emergency transmission from a galaxy far, far away. The Galactic Empire seeks helps fighting a terrorist organisation, which plans to destroy their main space station. Captain Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise are dispatched to help re-establish peace."
This is still one of the greatest things ever.
I was not prepared to be auditorily edged this morning
Enterprise and Death Star nice touch ..Gary Seven and his Cat Isis
OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!
Pure gold as always
The ultimate musical Andorian-Balling of all of us.
I'm gonna need a 10 hour version with AI slowly taking over scenes
I'm in tears at 40 seconds, I may die if I keep watching/listening
Magnificent.
This is exactly what I was hoping it would be when I saw the title
@6:45 if you look closely, this is what all those people that had ear pucks look like when they take them out finally.
1:54 The episode about inappropriate touching in space, “Stranger Danger” aka The Bad Contact episode.
Watch out for grabby strange gods in space
No one is going to be laughing when some Trekkie has a mental breakdown somewhere between the 5 and 8 minute mark. Actually, I'll still be laughing. And probably everyone else who appreciates this comedic genius
This is like the adult swim stuff they would do with news clips. I love it
The musical equivalent of that Monty Python and the Holy Grail scene.
I'd forgotten about the Spock jam session. Thanks!
