When I was a child in the 1960’s (in the UK) I recall visiting an ‘Aunt’…a relatively distant relative anyway, and she was still boiling her kettle over her fire. My cousin and I thought it was hilarious and joked about being given smokey tea, but thinking back she must have been so poor.
You have made want to travel the states in a camper. I showed my husband some of your videos and he asked me if I would want to get a camper (RV) and travel all over. I have three grown daughters and they can stay home (if they don’t want to go). I love everything about traveling, I want to see the states go cross country. Yes, Noo-Noos from now on. I wonder if Hunter will call Amsterdam what I called it when I was a kid. My parents took 3 year old me there when they was touring Europe and up until I was 9 years old I called it Hamsterdam. I was gutted to be finally corrected to call it the real way. Hunter is so adorable.
I know :( something to save for next time! When we re-adjusted back to van life it was suuch bad weather so we headed to Tasmania and then in Tassie there were a couple of experiences we wanted to book in which were booking out soo quickly so we have big plans for next summer :)
