    Oh God.... Here I am, 62 years old, and retired. As I'm watching this video from a lifetime ago, I remember how young and hopeful I was. Those of OUR GENERATION had it so good. We didn't have to worry about war, mass shootings, cruising the main drag with our friends on Friday and SATURDAY nights.... Going to the Roller Rink, or hanging out at the burger stand. We had B.T.O., The Bay City Rollers, Peter Frampton, Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt.... The list goes on and on... 8 track stereos were slowly giving way to cassette players... Disco was just starting... Wearing my Puka Shell necklace and of course my mood ring.... Those days are, unfortunately a distant memory... I have to wear reading glasses now... But, when I hear these wonderful songs, for a few brief minutes I can go back in time. I can see my High School buddies... We're laughing and joking, and life is good for a few brief moments....

      Remember the past. I'm almost 70 & can't believe the world we live in. Not Sure what direction this country is going but it scares me. I don't think I'm living in the past but I'm also not forgetting it either. I love this old sh_t. Reminds me of a better time.

      I’m 69-
      I finally realized my mortality-
      I was a good athlete in high school and college-
      Those days are long gone-
      All that matters to me now is my relationship with Jesus and eternal matters-
      God bless you all!!

    毎日のように曲が流れていました。学校をサボって隣町までベイシティローラーズの雑誌を買いにいったことなつかしい思い出

    しまいましたが、あの頃コンサートに行くこともできなかったので、貴重な映像ありがとうございました。

      Baudelaire - The Nixon administration and the media were announcing that the war was “over” in ‘73 actually, but the last of our troops didn’t come home until ‘75. My uncle was one of them. Black ops missions and P.O.W. reconnaissance continued for a few years after the war was supposedly over. And then Pol Pot and the Kmer Rouge genocide happened in ‘75 and continued until ‘79. Yes, I loved a lot of things about the 70’s too... but it would be insulting to the memory of the many, many people who suffered during that time to write it all off as romantic nostalgia.

    • @Brewzerr
      @Brewzerr 6 років тому +4

      Baudelaire - Nice temper tantrum. What are you - 5 years old? You call me a ‘sour puss’, but all I’m doing is acknowledging reality. You know, it is possible to do that and enjoy all the lighthearted stuff at the same time, but hey... if you want to keep your head in the clouds then that’s your business. Have fun living in fantasyland, you small child.

    I was so glad to have been growing up in the seventies. The music was fantastic. You had your love songs and then your disco. The songs that came out in the seventies were songs that you could sing along to and fall in love to and party and dance to. It was an innocent time also. No computers or cell phones. The seventies were less complicated and not stressful. I wish I could grow up in the seventies again.

      The seventies were less stressful and life was easier than now. You had almost non existing people shooting each other and commuting suicide. No cell phones and computers to nag you 24/7. Kids went out to play all the time. They weren't stuck to their video games. Life was easier and we didn't have a virus that is killing us all and no AIDS either. Music was wonderful love songs and all. That is what I meant.
