I got a big interview coming up and I found this very helpful. I can totally elevate my responses after listening to this. I will listen again to reinforce your great tips
@@AngeloTheBA think I positively answered 95% of their questions. It's more data focused than I've been trained, but with my experience to help with their Kanban-waterfall-agile transition, I think I made enough of an impression to be considered.
You just got a new subscriber. I have 2 interviews coming up and I’m hoping for the best! Thank you for your videos. I’ll ensure to watch more of your videos.
I hope a get the position, this video is really helpful thank you! I was not very aware of how to responde the interview questions on english in relation to this position.
Great stuff. You say , @ 1:40, you give the "difficult" stakeholder what they need and eventually they will become an ally. That is the thing; some times, may be most of the time, you cannot give them what they want. He is asking for a feature that is out of the the scope of the current project. How can you deal with him then?
I said I give them the information they need, this doesn't mean I give them the features they are asking for. This can take many forms. It could be making them feel heard or understood, creating a user story to be prioritized later, suggesting a work around, documenting their space in such a way they know I fully understand their problem and am equipped to solve it for them when the opportunity is there, it can be making them understand from their own perspective why it can't/won't be prioritized... Which is essentially the job of a BA.
Scope creep is adding items that were not in the agreed scope or "plan". In agile the scope is defined at a user story level (what is in scope of this user story) and at a sprint level (what is in scope for this sprint based on the teams velocity & POs prioritization). This means planning is happening over and over again... Every sprint. So it isn't scope creep to add a user story to the backlog then prioritized for the next sprint. That's just the normal planning cycle.
Doesn't quite work like that. Most companies don't allow random people to just come to their corporate office and view confidential intellectual property
Definitely Not. My course is to help new BAs understand the role and the value it brings. Intended to help transition into the role (resume and interview prep) and help those thrust into the role be successful quickly. IIBA Certification requires a much more detailed and comprehensive look at the specifics of the BABOK, which my course is not.
This is helpful and because you completed it without prep your answers were more natural and relatable. :)

Glad it was helpful. Good luck on your interview!
How did you interview go?
Bro could help me into this
That was you without prep?! You did incredible! This video has been so helpful, thank you!
You're welcome! Keep in mind that I think about a lot of these topics more often than most working BAs because I'm making BA videos regularly.

really helpful😀
I thought scope creep is prevalent in an Agile Dev environment as a client/product owner is able to put their input more frequently?
Scope creep is adding items that were not in the agreed scope or "plan". In agile the scope is defined at a user story level (what is in scope of this user story) and at a sprint level (what is in scope for this sprint based on the teams velocity & POs prioritization). Hi, I need a hands on project. Can I showdow on a hands on project?
Doesn't quite work like that. Most companies don't allow random people to just come to their corporate office and view confidential intellectual property
Very nice video
I see you have a course on Udemy. If i take this course, is it enough to get me prepped for a BA certification exam.
Definitely Not. My course is to help new BAs understand the role and the value it brings.
