Greates rock band ever. These guys were so huge in the late 70s and early 80s. No match on their rock. Uniqye style that no band has ever been able to match or come close 2. Sad to see John and Alan leave at some point. They lacked that raw, rock ingredient ever since. Another killer tune(s) from those days. Brilliant !
Holy Shit! This can't be 74! That's me drinking that juice near the beginning! WOW! This has to dubbed over a later Pink Pop because I didn't get to attend the 74 show! Or did I? LOL! Too much Hash can do that to a persons memory! LOL! Anyway, what a shock to see myself in this tape! Awesome song but even more of an awesome annual Concert in Hollad of all places! Can't wait to go back!!! TOT ZIENS!
You can keep your Zeps, keep your Genesis's , your Sabbath's , your AC wotnots , you can keep your Stones, the Who, The Mighty Quo were the band then , they are the band now , quaintly British , loud as fxxck and the epitome of a rock'nroll outfit .
The greatest rockband EVER is reuniting in the old frantic four line up John, Rick, Francis and Alan. Album expected in 2013. Magical band with a unique style that still to date is unmatched and never will be. Tonight ....Live .....Poppy Appolo Glasgow.....we have the number ONE rock and roll band in the laaaaand....will you welcome.....the magnificent Status QUOOOOOOOOO ^-^
The album was recorded at the Glasgow Apollo over three consecutive nights in October 1976. The double LP was released in March 1977. Often described as from 1977 but really it was recorded in 1976 so to me its "from 1976". What was absolutely scandalous and criminal was the record company mixed the crowd too low in the mix - it was deafening in the crowd, you could hardly hear the band at all. The record company threw away the true atmosphere and killed it - compared to how it actually was.
So I was right, the album is from 1977, the audio is from 1976. So technically I'm still right, even I didn't know the 1976 part :P should've read the little story in the booklet a little better :P
Look up the video titled "Black Snake Live 1972" from Atomic Rooster and dig the singer at the beginning of the song, LOLOL. If you've never seen it, you'll die laughing, LOL.
This is pure hard rock n roll ...the only term to describe quo's unique music style. The power gets into yr veins and makes you jump off the chair and just go nuts . Oh baby from piledriver my favorite song ....back to back fav album.

i would say from at least '74 - rick's playing his white tele. but it has the stoptail bridge on, so must be after they played wembley (there's footage on here somewhere) as it still had the ashtray bridge then
I have seen photographs from The Great Western, Rick Parfitt is wearing a white top and yellow flares. Also I think Rick only wore the denim jacket on the 1974 - 1975 tours.
You must be referring to the end footage 3:30 where I was buying two Frikandels, again, this is footage mixed with different shows cause the footage with me in it was the last Pink Pop I attended in 1977 before returning stateside!
