I started my Ecto 1 1/18 from Hot Wheels 2 years ago, but after seeing this video think this beast is the real masterpiece. Freakin awesome details! You're the luckiest guy on earth sir!

I had a bit of sideshow drama but I am on the waitlist... but now I’m not sure if that drama where I lost my original pre-order wasn’t for the best as the one Blitzway were showing before release had much better and realistic looking chrome and rotating lights that didn’t make a noise. There are parts of the released version which are a bit toy like... and I’m unsure how I feel.
Hi Jon, ive just received mine and cant get the entire set of white lights at the front to work and the single blue spotlight at the left handside door, this seems to be a problem with a lot of shipments, anyone had similar issues with resolutions. The yellow ones work but if i move the wire, they go off so thats got a break but the others on the front are totally dead. Have you heard of other lighting issues?
I'd buy one if I came into a lot of money, but I wouldn't save up for it.
The dull chrome is a let down, the red strip on the top of the door makes it look like a bows upwards in the middle, and theres a lack of small detail that you'd actually find on a $200 1/18 Diecast, such as door catches when you open the doors.
Still, it's a pretty cool exciting piece. Just not worth that high amount of money. I could buy a real car for that.

I like that the front strobe lights work on the grill. On the Hero Collector Eaglemoss build, they don't work. Just for looks.
They said they are supposed to work on the final issued version. That assembly already arrived and you can see there is a place to insert lights in the bottom of them.

I noticed that the two blue lights in front of the front of the light bar and the two behind the rear light bar aren't working on yours.
Did you eventually get them to work at some point?

Hey Jon I noticed the blue lights in front of the front light bar and rear light bar did not light up. I too have an issue with mine. My rear light bar lights up but does not turn and my MP3 player will not power up with an external battery or by plugging it into a computer either.

Greetings my friend a question that would be of great help, Blitzway indicated that the length measure is 1.15 cm ok now that measurement is auto with the back door closed or open? Or, together with the stretcher?

Be better if it was an rc car would be cool to see it move with lights flashing and the sirens going off I like to see if they had a Ghostbusters 2 ecto 1a

I know there may not be any general lees,but will bitzway be making any versions of knight rider cars with the lights,sounds,and more importantly William Daniel's with more than 8 lines from the original 80's series. Oh and a version of K.A.R.R. with peter cullen's voice?

A very impressive model. The only thing missing are the proton packs for the gurney. It's too bad this model is sold out as of July 2022. Blitzway has also suspended shipments to the US due to the very high shipping costs.

Hold up, I'm paying 1400 bucks for an Ecto where the lights are that noisy when they're on AND there's no siren? Also the chrome pieces look crazy cheap. Wow
I agree man, alot of extra cool stuff could have been added at that price, I said the same as you, the chrome makes it look like a cheap toy...why no shinny chrome? Way over priced at that lack of details to me...My smaller dicast Ecto beats this one by far on a lot of details. It is a bad ass model, the price is just terrible!

I got to hand it to the people who work for Blitzway, they really went all out to have the Ecto-1 made for the 1/6 scale Ghostbusters figures.
I wish I could afford the Blitzway Ecto-1, but I can't afford anything crazy expensive. Plus, I don't have very much space to display it.
I am aware that 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex cars aren't easy to come by nowadays, but if I were fortunate to come across one in good condition on the outside and inside a little rusted some that someone wanted to sell at a fair reasonable price, I would definitely but it, take it off of their hands and convert it into my very own film-accurate replica of the Ecto-1 down to the last detail and I would use the Blitzway Ecto-1 as a reference model and the Haynes Ectomobile Owner's Workshop Manual to have something to go by.
The chrome pieces just look they are painted grey metallic, but not actually chromed as seen in the promotional images?

Why are the windows blacked out and only have a crack through the middle? Was it like that in the movie? It’s been a while since I watched it
In some shots in the movie, yea, they were like that. It wasn't supposed to be noticeable but they did that on some of the cars used so the audience wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't the stars driving the car. I prefer it without the tint as that's more accurate how it's supposed to be. I just started the Eaglemoss build this summer, and I'm hoping the windows aren't tinted.

You guys in the US have it lucky. Think of us poor saps in Australia were there seems to be only one seller offering this, and it's a whopping $3,000! The Australian importer had pre-orders at $2500 and then decided to jack up the price to $3K.
Still on the fence about it. Yes it's size is impressive but to me it's lacking fine detail for the price and they totally got the chrome wrong. It's a bit toy like compared to other smaller scale cars I've seen.

Your front roof spot lights are not working
I'm curious as to exactly how much a collector's piece such as this Blitzway ECTO-1 cost. Gotta be really expensive.

The details of the front and rear lights and the other lights aren't the same as the first trailer 2 years ago. Are rotating crazy fast, not the same effect as in the trailer.
Disappointed with the silver painted trim as opposed to the chrome effect on the 1/8 ecto. Lights sound quite noisy too. Looks good as a whole

Eagle moss one is coming together very nicely. Maybe slightly smaller. Costs about the same. But build quality especially on the chrome work seems better on Eaglemoss
@@simonherbert2237 true the attention to detail for Eaglemoss is crazy. But their windows aren't tinted. That's a big flaw in my opinion.
@@BVENTUROUSATHLETICS that's something that can be easily rectified during the build. 👍
The eaglemoss is a mostly metal build with real chroming so its not really a fair comparison to the blitz. The eaglemoss kills it on detail but the blitz has the larger size. IMHO the noise the blitz makes with the rotators is a deal breaker.. I don't think they'll last more than an hour or two on tops.
@@GaryTabarJr yeah those rotating lights sound like a washing machine. Its really sad. But I kinda like the look of Blitzway better then Eagle. We really need a side by side comparison. I don't believe anyone has completed the Eaglemoss one yet.

Richard Ridley they don’t light up. They did on the prototype. Not very good
I have seen other reviews. And they light up. Maybe they are disconected
