I was in a job that I loved. They employed someone who humiliated and belittled me. I went through a terrible time and prayed for deliverance. I wanted to keep that job. That wasn't God's will and I was devastated when I had to leave. A month after leaving the old job, I got a new one which is much better, longer contract, fantastic people. God said no to me because he had plans for me that were better than I could ever have imagined.

elliethousand im happy you have a better job. I sorta got a story like that. I had a great school. Honestly, i was bullied everyday. Now im in a homeschool christian program. I know im just 11 and i have ever dealed with BIG PEOPLE PROBLEMS but i have had family issues moved alot. I move from Canada to Mexico over and over again. Im in mexico and were about to move back to Canada. There is almost 9 people in my family now. My mom is pregnet with her 7th kid

I think I'm currently in the same situation:I've been humiliated and belittled many times,no matter how hard I try.I've been teaching English in South Korea,in a small korean city,private school.My question is what did you do at that point: just waited until they kick you out or just left that job by your free choice?
This sermon blessed my whole life in so many different ways!!!! My husband and I have been trying to have kids for 8 years but have struggled with infertility. Now we have adopted 4 kids and we love them just as if they were our biological kids. The same way we longed for children was the same way they longed for parents to love them unconditionally ❤❤❤

Rick, I listen to you every day past two years during commutes. I can not tell you how much your videos have helped me. I literally before I start driving, look at home page and the video that comes up from your posts…I press play and it has everything to do with what I was meant to hear. I say, “Ok God what message do you have for me today?”… Just got home and this evening I checked my singing channel before my drive. A little girl who sings songs I post I discovered must have a chronic illness. I cried as I watched her because I had no idea she was ill and asked God why? Then this video comes up on commute home and 10 min in is the answer to my question. Do not think for a minute that God does not move through this man. His videos have continued to give me strength to not give up on life with all its obstacles. I thank you deeply.

Thank you for presenting both sides of the coin. This is the True Gospel. So many times, preachers of God's Word only talks about when God does the miracle, the healing, the breakthrough. That one-sided presentation leaves those confused or feeling they have done something when God does not answer in the way they have hoped. Personally, I have prayed, stood in faith, hope, and trust only to hear God say no. Truthfully, I felt defeated, bewildered, forsaken, etc....I discovered I was leaning on my own understanding. I had to pray, step back, and realize God is Sovereign, and He does what He wants when He wants how He wants because He is Omniscient. This sermon blessed me with other essential spiritual and practical keys to help me move forward when God says no. Again thank you for presenting the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.

There was a man that God had me pray for. He showed me his heart and I started developing GENUINE feelings for him and I intercede for people all the time and this has NEVER happened. I found out he felt the same and I started getting excited thinking he was the person for me and I have never felt this feeling before for anyone,but God gave a Word to my sister ( who had no knowledge of any of this going on) and it was to tell me no he is not the one. I felt so devastated and disappointed with God considering he had me pray for him and confirmed he liked me as well and feelings matched but God said no. I went to my closet and told God my disappointment and sadness and why was he torturing me like this. God says point blank HE (THE GUY) NEEDS ME NOT YOU. I was speechless. As this was recent I am still heartbroken and I still feel sadness but I am trying my best to give it too the Lord because he's never steered me wrong.

I prayed for 15 years, god said no.now that time has passed when I needed him. So I stopped praying. Found out, its better not to expect anything from him and you won't be disappointed .

Love this sermon. Found so much healing in it. The only thing I disagree with Is that we don’t know what the thorn in the flesh was. Paul clearly states he was given a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me. Satan persecuted Paul everywhere he went. Notice Paul never says God gave him the thorn in the flesh. He just says I was given. Andrew Womack has an excellent teaching on this. God allowed it to keep Paul from being conceited because he had been exposed to so much more information than the other followers of Christ.
Trust isn't suppose to make us unhappy forever

hey.... sometimes God brings ppl back to Him to cease the suffering in this broken world. It is just a temporary separation. We will still see our loved ones in heaven, after we have done His will. So hang on! Be a better person for all and we will reunite with our loved ones with the Lord. watch the shack =)

Trying to understand, if God conditioned me to believe hes always going to say no to my prayers after praying for 16 years of suffering and suffering continues....why pray to God at all.if God didnt help in the past 16 years why would God do it in future prayers. I believe in God but gave up my faith.not expecting any thing from God gives me clarity, been happy ever since. Hope everyone else gets attention from God.

Id rather he had not given life! Than I would be caught up in this horrible fight between Good and evil! I feel like in one of the saw movies! Thrown into a situatuon where life and death is on the line and if i dont horrificly suffer than I die and I never asked for this!

God has said no to me too many times to count without anything better to look forward to. I have given up on thanking him for all of his no’s.

When God says no He means no,

You may abhor His answer,

For we’ve made prayer a tool,
where we think to change God’s mind

Please someone , help. Explain the purpose of prayer to me.if God said no to jesus with that prayer, doesn't it make sense that God is going to say no to us, being that our suffering is but a splinter compared to christ. Trying hard to get my faith back, but all I hear is , you get your prayers answered when your dead.
I have seen many prayers answered. But we cannot force god to do our will, nor do we have the full understanding to pray correctly every time.
I seen the hurricane in a dream few days before Katrina hit, why do you suppose God gives dreams and visions ?

I'm Lucy Hello hey sister my name is Gloria and I'm a new believer growing in Christ. When do the feelings of resentment manifest? Don't feel bad for being angry or upset at God. In my journey of growing in Christ I have noticed that I go back and forth between rejoiceing and being angry or frustrated with God. I felt guilty but as I continue to grow I've learned through seeking God and with the support if my fellowship family in Christ that it's a battle. Pray everyday even when your angry express it to God a relationship goes both ways God already knows how your feeling he wants a relationship with you and he wants you to go to him even when you are upset with him. God is God he is perfect and through seeking and growing through Christ you receive light and wisdom and the anger and resentment will cease

I stopped asking God for anything. I dont see any point in it anymore. Hes just going to do what he wants. If I want it, he knows I do. He said no to a good childhood, He said no to a successful education, he said no to the career, of my dreams, he said no to giving me a wife will I was still young. How can I trust him at this point?!
So god did those things or other people did these things? Be careful to place blame unwarranted. Free will has it benefits but it is also a curse. We are a broken people. Are you unhappy with your wife? Your career can always change. Education is not on God, it is on us to pursue it.

Pastor Warren, you are a wonderful preacher and thank God for that. I however feel you may have got something wrong about Jesus praying the prayer to the father in the garden. HE was not praying for the suffering to be taken away from HIM, remember HE spoke about the CUP, all through the OT, the cup refers to the separation from GOD, GOD seperates from sin, Jesus was the biggest sinner in the world, not coz of HIS doing but coz HE had taken over the sin of the world, GOD separated from Jesus, Jesus was grived that HE was separated from the Father for the first time in all eternity, that was unbearable to HIM
You and me only try to make sense of HIS physical suffering on the cross, What actually transpired, I believe was much worse, HIS seperation from The Father, that’s why HIS cry to The Father on the cross. We may never know the depth of HIS sufferings

Please start answering the prayers of the millions of children that will die each year of starvation, disease, war, genocide and natural disasters. Also the parents of the infants that have cancer and die. Or the children whose older parents have dementia and no longer remember them. Plenty other god fearing (why) and god loving (okay) people who are praying for help and yet nothing ever happens. A hurricane sweeps through a community and a survivor thanks God that he somehow saved them and yet somehow God allowed others to be killed horribly. A Tsunami swept away over 200,000 men, women and children in 2004 and I imagine many cried for help and others prayed for salvation. I thought God loved his children and with a mere fraction of his power could have saved them. A loving parent does everything in their power to save their children and yet God has stood by over thousands of years and watched millions if not billions of people suffer and die horrible deaths. It this is part of a grand plan then the plan is not really that impressive is it.
John Galt I always wonder what you said here in your comment and because of all these life's circumstances and experiences we perceive God as unloving and powerless. But that's not true. The earth has been given unto man as Genesis says. Man was given dominion over creation but man has given authority to the devil. Yes Jesus came and defeated the devil but each believer needs to know our authority as a child of God and many of us do not live our lives a victorious Christian. Rather we live like beggars and beg God to do this or that. Jesus has given us all authority over the devil and over this earth even weather and sicknesses. One can have great faith yet have unbelief that negates it. The praying one may be like that the recipient receiving prayers as well. There are so many factors affecting prayer outcome. But God is love and for sure we can trust Him with all our hearts. His perfect love cast out fear. It's KNOWING His truth in our hearts that sets us free. I have many many questions I am a thinker but let's be seekers too. Because when we seek we will find, when we knock the door will be opened. God always talks to us but because we live mostly in our physical senses and in this natural realm we are so deaf to God. Remember it's a still small voice that He speaks to us. Be still and KNOW He's God. Many preachers can preach what they think they have received from God, yes even renowned popular preachers or teachers, BUT, we must always go back to God's word and study the truth with what they teach and ask God to show us the truth. St Paul prayed that the eyes of our understanding be opened, so don't just merely listen to all the teachings out there. We must go back to study God's word ourselves. Please do not use the NIV. It's inaccurate and has so many omissions. I used it for 20 years! I now use the KJV with a good Concordance to help understand scriptures. It's the closest to the Hebrew and Greek Bible. Man has distorted God's Word.
Don't get offend but I think you are resent against God. At the end is all energy wasted, you'll never understand everything and blaming God will never help you to get it over.
God does love the world and loves you if he doesn't you wouldn't even being existing. There's some questions no one can answer. My advice.. trust God... You'll regret everything or anyone you trust at some point, but God will never let you down.
PS. I'm not writing this like I have never have troubles or pain.. everybody has have pain in their life
God knows where our spirit goes, he knows all. We will all die someday in some manner or way. All death is sad. The truly faithful lean not on their own understanding, but trust in the Lord. If he has given us life once and has given life to our loved ones atleast once, is he not able to ever give life again? Truth is we dont know all the "why's" and "how's" of life, trust in him remain faithful in him.
