- Passion fruit (also known as passion fruit) is the fruit of the Passiflora tree, a flower of the genus Lac Tien. It has a hard outer shell, which encloses an inner layer of seeds. There are many varieties of passion fruit that vary in size and color, with purple and yellow varieties being the most popular.
Passion fruit trees grow strongly, branching (branches) is fast, the tree is not picky about soil, but it is best to choose a soil with good drainage, not waterlogged. Soil has light mechanical composition, pH 5.5-6. Soil in flat area, warm weather, reasonable humidity, passion fruit grows very well.
The suitable temperature for the tree to grow is from 16-30oC, passion fruit trees grow well in sunny areas, especially passion fruit trees do not tolerate frost.

Which country are you? I grew the plant from seeds too but I don't know if it'll survive winter outdoors? My winter could go down to - 20 or lower. I'm in Canada. After how long did your plant start flowering please? Thank you.
