You're doing a great job of relaying information on the pains that you go through to produce performance based antennas, Justin. 73, Jon Pearl - W4ABC

Thanks for this info. I have been pondering setting up a pair of phased multi element diamond quads (vertically polarized) for 20m and wasn't sure about the impedance matching. I've built 3el diamond quad loops using a rope for a boom and was very impressed with the results but I have always wanted to phase a pair.

Greatvideo and very educational as i am a newb to this antenna concept. I fing quads to be very interesting. I am only a lowly 11 meter cber and also gmrs i will play around and try to apply what i have learned here to my gmrs radio antennas for now . 11 meter atennas are so much larger .
Anyway 73s and i look forward to more videos soon.

I must confess I have not used any of your antennas but it seems to me you know your stuff unlike some who post similar videos on uTube.

Hi, In the past when constructing conventional wire quads i used 75 ohm coax from tx to antenna this provided me with a good match to a 100 ohm quad.

Very good . Great information .
I hope you do more just a little less of a rush i am a newby to this and enjoy building antennas.

I'd like to build a set of these 3 el quads. Will you be sharing the plans or is this a commercial project? I've been watching and reading on your website for a couple years. Great that you now have a youtube channel! I'm looking forward to the content you upload in the future! I've been a ham since 1987 and made many antennas but I've learned a great deal from your designs and notes. I subscribed! LOL you're at 381 subs now! Thank you for all your hard work and contributions to ham radio Justin!

Thanks Steven, there are some Quads on the G0KSC website but will produce some for public/personal use for g0ksc.co.uk

Hi, I like very much your videos and the one right now remembers me when I was living in the netherlands using a so-called swiss quad, which outperformed my yagis on vhf...73s es gl tom, dl9zal

Hi Justin, Love the video, and i think this would be a great solution for me. I am still using a single 15 element LFA ( the picture of my previous stack is still on your site). But i had to mount it on a side arm because the antennas are on a lift and the distance between the tower and lift is nog enough for normal yagi element lengths. How much gain can i get out of a 6 or 7 element version ? Hoping that the dubus magazin drops in the mail soon. 73 Jan ON6ZG/DL6ZG

Obviously the longer the antenna the better in most cases. outrigth gain will be given up for a broad banded design too.

So can you use your quad antenna on 11 meter band?
