Hi Isabelle! I really appreciate the videos you've been making and they've been very helpful as a piano teacher starting out! I have a question if you don't mind answering. How do you deal with students who actually hate the piano and are forced by their parents to take it?
Hiya Emily The answer is simple…we don’t 😅 haha, but you are amazing for trying to teach someone who is ‘forced’! If they are somewhat interested, then it’s OK. But if it’s a complete “I am NOT interested” attitude, then it’s basically impossible unless the parents really bribe them (or worse, threaten them). Hope this helps! -Isabelle
Hello Isabelle, was reading the comments and your replies - I wonder if the student around ages 4 to 8 don’t listen and get distracted by other non piano related things repeatedly, and lots of time gets wasted, do you ask these students to stop lessons? How do you handle this?

I don't know how that girl sits and does for almost 1 hour... and it's not fun. It's a really hard work, serious and intense.
It's because she actually is interested to learn! We only accept kids who have interest.
