The way you enhance your basic pour, the way you plan and execute the piece is what turns a pour into work of art! You are incredible in your insight to turn something into a true, original masterpiece. Thank you!
Wow I looked at this again 2 mo later and it is just so vibrant and facinating. This time it also looks like a wonderful sea horse having the time od his life frockling in the sea. Thats always the beauty of your Art Sara, it creates such movement and color and intensity even calm quiet intensities that it creates an imprint upon the mind that emits feeling and a double take as if this elusive entity reaches out and taps your attention to linger and look within. Your art has always been enlightening and awe inspiring to me.Thank you for all the effort and time that you have invested and shared with us all over the years now, my goodness you are awesome and artistically open. Thank you Sara.❤
This Sara is so Beautiful. It is amazing. I love all the embellishments that you added. It took this to a whole other over the top look. If I was the recipient of this commissioned painting, I would be so happy. Can't wait to see you do one twice as big. Just phenomenal.😁😊
I love all your artwork and I have to say this one is really tops! Can't wait to see the larger commission pieces in this color palette! Thanks for sharing your process and continuing to inspire! 🙏🏼💜
This painting is beautiful and has a sensuality about it. The colors are different and that special blue swath of color evokes such a softness around the individual grouping of colors.. The yellow undergrowth of color that cluster around the spaces next to the lacy web spaces gives a feeling of firmness and structure almost like a dry desert cassia type bush. Your painting is eclectic and gives a soothing comfortable feeling of calm. I think it's lovely. Adore that shade of blue, like a corn flower blue which is so vibrant and glowing. It's like the painting revolves around the majesty of this blue and it's vibration. Love how the painting is minimal and at the same time so full of life. Looking forward to seeing your Comissioned Art piece Sara. Thanks you so much for sharing. Love the little paint pallete swatches the rendering design. Do you give that to the buyer? Sure they'd love that too.😊
This is the first time I have noticed that you've used that Charvin (sp) blue. Just wonderful colors. And of course, I always am in awe of your detail/embellishments. I absolutely love your style.
Oh yes, I love Charvin! I get it from Jerry’s Artarama and have been using it for years, this is a color. I often come back too. I also love their indigo.
I have not watched any pouring videos in months, you are one of the few that I do enjoy and am in AWW of. I must say, this one had I not seen the name, I sure wouldn't of thought it was one if yours. That's all I can say .
Amazing! The amount of attention you give to the art blows my mind. You have really taken the art form to another level. Ot shows those of us that have just begun exploring this art form, where it can go beyond the beauty of the pour, stretch and blown aspects of it. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring me. My mind and my approach are forever changed. 🙏🙏🙏👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Absolutely beautiful!! Your eye for detail and composition is awe inspiring. I have watched your tutorial videos over and over trying to learn this skill. I manage to get the base coat and puddle paints to work just fine. But I have one issue and that is with the detailing colors. They always sink and disappear. Which recipe I should use for those? I know the cloud recipe goes over those. Thx for your help and inspiration Sara.
Kathleen, it is a difficult balance to get the colors not to sync too much. A lot of it is getting excess paint off the canvas. Honestly, it just takes quite a lot of practice to get more control of the medium.
Sarah, I absolutely love this piece, I love the color she used and watching you truly inspires me. It was great taking your classes in Asheville, I really really love meeting you!
Watching you put the finishing touches on the painting is like watching a woman putting on makeup. Highlight here, drama there. Blush, blend, eyeshadow, eyeliner. Making the beautiful more beautiful. And it is... beautiful.❤❤❤ As always, a pleasure.🪄
Sara, I am going to have to go back to school & take another vocabulary class. I have exhausted my positive comments on the beauty of your work. I hope I don't sound fake, it is from the heart and eyes that I say what I do. Just be thankful that I have adored your talent! LOL! BRAVO!
Hello 👋 just subscribed to your channel & wld like to say a big WOW👌 👏 😍 to your work. Very inspirational young lady.....you're mighty talented for sure 👍🌈🌞
Wow is beautiful , I love the colors . Looks so easy but is a lot of details I love that. Thank you for sharing all this knowledge is very helpful. Question for you. Yours colors stay vibrant, is because of the brand of paint and quality? Thank so much. God bless you.
Curious if you’ll pour both large canvases at the same time? I did a very large triptych ( each was 40” x 30” ) and poured all at once together to try to have my flow work in an integrated way across each canvas. Was a real hustle…! Txz jeanne
Beautiful. I'm still hoping for a video on how you mix your dark bases, as well as dark cloud-over colors. And I haven't found your explanation of what cloud-over does to the painting. I watch so closely, and you're speeding thru that process. Please point out a video you've made for these things. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!❤
I can understand the confusion. Really the white pearl base coat is the same as the colored pearl basecoat except for you replace the white paint with a different color. The key is to use the un tinted satin enamel in order to avoid white pigment in the mixture. The dark cloud over colors is the same concept, I really just use the dark base coats for a cloud over effect. You can also use Decoart 24K gold, gold, high flow details as well.
@SaraTaylor Just one more question...what effect does the cloud-over recipe give in your paintings? And thank you very much for answering all my questions. You are so talented and fun to watch and listen to.
I’m presently wondering how it would turn out if you didn’t do all that embellishing… Like if we could see the difference between not doing it and doing it? That would be really cool! It’s so amazing!!
That’s a good point, I’m glad you like the painting. I do save all of the paint that comes off of the canvas, it gets scraped off the plastic and reused. I will admit that some paint gets thrown away, the thing is it’s mixed with quite a lot of pouring medium so it’s not just pure paint. It’s important to dispose of properly which I try to educate people on as well.
I’m presently wondering how it would turn out if you didn’t do all that embellishing… Like if we could see the difference between not doing it and doing it? That would be really cool!or even minimal embellishing
Gorgeous composition….love these brighter colours than your usual neutrals. Great embellishments! I keep saying to myself that it is finished…then you make changes that are astounding. Small suggestion: I noticed that you mispronounced “giclee” …it has a soft “g” sound not a hard one..almost like a zzzz sound or “j” sound in Zsa Zsa Gabor….asks someone who speaks French to say it for you.

Turned out beautifully!! Love the color palette and composition! ❤ do your clients often go ahead and purchase these test pieces, too?
Good question, sometimes they do, in this case she does want the test painting :-)
If you love it, then I’ll love it tooooo!!
Edit: omg, new favourite 😍

Very good observation, yes, for both reasons! It’s high-quality paint and medium.👍
❤❤❤❤❤

Yes, absolutely. Although it does sort of depend on what I’m doing. Usually when I’m doing a dipstick, I try to pour them at the same time.👍💕
Hi Sara, is the Bloom receipe linked in the description what you used for the puddle paints?
These were actually the Pearl recipes, there’s also a link to the Pearl recipe video in the description:-)
