im 63 and have driven loads of cars in my past from vauxhalls to saabs..jags..etc...i got same colour as you 2 weeks ago and have nothing but praise for the beast as i call her...love her to bits..in fact what a car...i got 1.5 diesel st line and at my work all dropped there jaw when first saw her...she is everything you say about her or my beast on you vid and a hell of a lot more...best car i ever had....all what you boys have said about her is total true
Collect my ST Line Ecosport this weekend and can’t wait. A lot of people put this car down but I think they are a fab little car. This review has confirmed I’ve made the right choice 👍🏻
Good to hear you liked it so much. My ST Line in this colour arrives Tuesday. Soooooo excited. I've gone for the automatic though. It's a 2019 plate. Seems they packed in with the auto which is a pity. I can't wait to get out in mine. The only part that gave me pause was the motorway mention as I do 64 miles a day and most of those are motorway commuting and I don't like to hang about. Hope it's going to keep me happy 😂
@@PlanetautoUK Which is perfect for me as I like a bit "different". My car just sold was a Peugeot 1007. I am going to really miss those electric doors, however. They are SO handy 😲
@@PlanetautoUK Same here. I used to have a Nissan Cube and that also had the "fridge door" boot and I loved it. You could perch on the back to put boots on for example and it made loading dogs in way easier. And I never got stuck with someone that closely parked, not once 👍🏻
From what I read the gear ratios are practically the same with the newer 6speed box, they just added an extra cog. What they should have done is reduce the final drive ratio which gives much better access to the engines torque (especially in cases of non linear turbo engine).
I like these cars. I have a Fiesta ST right now. We don't get the ST Line EcoSport in the USA. We don't get a diesel option, 18 inch wheel option or a manual gearbox option either. Maybe in 2020.
@@PlanetautoUK yes, I agree. The one I drove was an SES with 4 wheel drive and the automatic. I was ready to buy it right there. I figured I'd give it a year to see if Ford gives a little more power. The 197 horsepower 1.6 Liter Turbo in my Fiesta would be a welcome change!
@@davetello3764 Ultimately, the only engine available in the last 2 years in the US was the 2.0 non-turbo and AWD. My '18 SES was the only version made with the paddle shifters. That was the most performance available in the US. I would have preferred the 1.5 turbo, but the car was meant to be cheap, and it is. The 2.0 isn't fast, but it's reliable, unlike the 1.0 EcoBoom. The AWD system is brilliant, and it does great in the winter with the winter package.
We were supposed to be driving one on Monday, that’s now cancelled - there is a video from Goodwood when did a short walkaround, apologies and thank you.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or so they say. This car does exactly what it says on the tin, so best bet would be to test drive it and see for yourself. We found it a good vehicle, and don’t think it deserves the bad reviews - it’s not seen as a premium vehicle so most journalists won’t give it the time of day (sad but true) Let us know how you get on
Sack that it’s not a Niva or a Jimny want to see proper greenlaning in Grizedale, we’ve got it covered, ps it’s a shore it’s primarily impacted sand with tidal flooding - maybe i should have used a car park

We were rather impressed too, it’s good to hear that what we say resonates thank you meat081

Thank you, that’s really good to hear, enjoy it, we found it a great Ford.
Shifted from 2018 Fiesta ST2 to titanium Ecosport and what a Fab car👍👍👍
Great to hear
I have just discovered your channel and like your style of reviewing cars. I can't wait to see the next one. Thank you.
MasterOzgun thank you so much, there’s lots to come, Berlingo, 508, MG3 and many more

Yeah it should do well. We prefer to drive rather speedily and it did is well. It’s also nice that there aren’t too many of these about 😍 *A

Wow, now that’s a rare quirky car 😀 one of our favourite bits is the boot access, enjoy Lynda.

Great review well done to both of you👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much Alan, glad you enjoyed it.
Would you go for the awd version Ben given the ride height and the angles? Thank you.
Yes, we definitely would go for that, Stelios.

Thank you for this James, that’s something we didn’t know
Nice car boot is good and the whole car is nice I like the colour
Thank you, it's an interesting boot, and yes we'd agree with the colour scheme.
👍

The auto box is very good, strange the options and engine difference between the different markets.

Dave Tello now that engine would be interesting to see, and drive, here’s hoping.

@bongodave13 😀
Nice review it's amazing car,. Is the diesel better then petrol?
Thank you, it depends on your needs
Ford ecosport petrol auto or Hyundai creta petrol automatic...???
Raj Talukdar the Eco Sport is a fab vehicle, as for the Hyundai the only vehicle we’ve driven is the i30N not quite the same, damn good car though.
Has it got a good turning circle?
Yes, it’s not bad
im torn between the Ecosport and nissan qashqai. REally not sure
Have you driven both Mike?
I’ve got a 2018 st line auto and it doesn’t have front parking sensors
Hmm interesting, our review cars sometimes have different specs
Yes front parking is extra
Thank you Jay
What about Ford Puma?

Could the boot fit an adult human body? Asking for a friend.
Depends on state of cargo, if not a C124 is perfect for more than one, perfect for sleeping 🐠
Find a bit more mud to stand in 😂😂😂😂😂🙄
