same. i just finished that book and the synthetic intelligence part genuinely freaked me out.
For as long as I've lived I've always been scared of things thinking FOR me instead of me having genuine thoughts of my own. Which is why the thought of taking antidepressants scared me at first.

I was so delighted to see it there, and it feels very poetic, in a way.
My first Patricia Taxxon album ever was Rosa, and Cambria was the track that made me realise I adore her style. I found Chouette through’s Patty’s “Ethics of Boinking Animal People” video (and loved it). But seeing Cambria there in the ending tracklist was like my entire journey with her discography coming full circle. Like meeting an old, aged friend :)

I am both a big fan of Chouette and Patricia Taxxon's works, The Stars in My Head has solidified itself as one of my favorites in her work, aside from Your Throat Belies

i'm addicted to the truly bizarre and alien atmosphere of this song. the ethereal "wave" sounds starting at 0:59 make me feel as though the fabric of reality is distorting and rippling around my ears (which is both a compliment and a testament to the immersiveness of this album's soundscapes seeing as... yknow. the concept of "reality distortion" generally isn't a super easy thing to convey in general, let alone in a melodic way), and the dubstep elements combined with the mechanical, echo-y, and bouncy feel of the other instruments give the impression of safari-ing on some barren exoplanet thousands of years into the future
patricia's music offers so many unique musical environments like these and i hope her work can find more of an audience in the near future! the lack of views on these uploads (at least 5 out of 10 of which on this song are my own. yes i've been counting lmao) are honestly criminal for such well-produced tracks. and thank you for uploading them here to begin with; i found this track from my recommendations after listening to wavetable for probably far longer than is healthy lmao
