Hearing the Whiffinpoofs made me so nostalgic for my college days and many semesters of singing with the college chorus! That was so long ago and I have to ask two questions: where did all the decades go and how did I get to be so old so quickly? Yikes!
I can remember my father saying the very same thing, and now those words leave my lips also.
❤
I love this time machine. And surprised that Mr. LaPierre is alive and 89.
What a joy to hear them.
And they are handsome too...
The Whiffenpoofs are still around
Tom Postem !!!!
It would be interesting to know if any of them served in Vietnam after graduation.
Very interesting- a nurse on a train!
I was surprised that NONE of the states mentioned by the three camping contestants as having dunes were in the Midwest! (Though Arizona, Wyoming, and California do have dunes.) We’ve camped at the Indiana Dunes State Park and Warren Dunes and the dunes at Saugatuck and Silver Lake in Michigan. Beautiful places on beautiful Lake Michigan.
Poor White Sands outside of Alamogordo in New Mexico is full of dunes.
@@bme7491 I would not have expected that! There are many more sand dunes in America than I had realized.
I’m from northern indiana - loved all my adventures in those places along Lake Michigan. Colorado has beautiful dunes in the southern part of the state.
Correct name is Dominique Lapierre (b. 1931).
"A stein of beer from the Whiffenpoof Song"
Orson was probably tempted to bring up the gaboon viper on hearing a whiffenpoof is a dragonfish.
Orson always loved to reference the gaboon viper--no matter how ridiculous the occasion!--throughout his tenure on TTTF. One of the things about him that made him such a favorite. He was about as off-beat as they came. R.I.P.
6:38 Well, at least Peggy Cass knew that Skull & Bones was a secret society. Wonder if she knew how evil it was?
Is the new sequel to "is Paris burning?" Called," Paris is Buring! Story of the Harlem ballroom scene back in the 60 70s and 80s
‘Acapello’, if you will, was the 13th Space Shuttle
If the contestant was a member of Skull and Bones, I believe he would be obligated to claim no knowledge of it--I think the actual rule is to leave the room if it is ever mentioned in his hearing.
Warren Dunes in Michigan?
I like the Brown Derbies better.

Not too much diversity at Yale that year. I can't believe one is just elected to the society. The singing is too professional.
