What?! @cinematiclaboratory I watch your videos a lot and have always loved your sound design and video production. I am a massive fan of your work! I am glad you liked the video, and what an honor for me! I can't wait to see yours!
@CinematicLaboratory of course! You're brilliant, mate. Hopefully, I will create some stuff that gets recommended to you down the road! My newest project begins here shortly. Maybe it'll gain some traction and come across your feed :)
I cant wait for mine to arrive! Ordered one last week. I akso got 20 meters of 1mm copper wire I intend to play around with, like connecting it to train tracks so I can listen to them with a minimized risk of getting eaten by a locomotive
I hope you enjoy it! I have carried mine around in different areas, and everywhere is different on what gets picked up. At my buddies house, it's just one radio station that over powers all of the EMF, so hopefully you end up in a spot where you get to experiment with antennas :)
To be honest mate, I came up with a whole short film because of this concept. I may actually film it lol. I can totally see this taking place in a remote spot in the woods in the context of an apocalypse. Every day you pack this ether up a hill scanning the airwaves for signs of life to no avail. Then one day, after weeks of silence and static, a radio station cuts through and you know you aren't alone
I'd test you area with the Ether first. I went to my buddies house 15 miles away, and his home was just bombarded by a radio station. It was so loud and powerful it almost drowned out any other sources. This antenna works for my area, as the radio is weak. I could see this being useful in like an apocalypse setting where maybe radios aren't playing anymore and a you have is scrap lol. I'm considering using aluminum foil on the rake and see what that does for the signal lol
Just finished my own Ether tutorial, but yours is much better :)

@@AbyssalReverberations Wow, thanks for letting me know and it's amazing to see what you've been cooking.

excellent. ...raking the sky!
I submitted this to SOMA for the tutorial competition. Worst case I get some views, best case I finally get a soma cosmos to work with :)
so awesome man. The color in the sky made me think of a dystopian scene where you’re trying to find other people with limited equipment.

Cool stuff, I might need to make one of those some time! 🤩
