Hello and thank you for all your great videos! I am completely new at crypto, I've been studying for around 4 days now. I'm going to purchase a new Tablet to use for all Crypto transactions (not sure what Malware maybe on my computer & phone), and I will not use it for anything else. Will the OneKey Classic work on it? I don't hear others using a Tablet, is there anything wrong with using the Tablet? Thank you so much.
I'm new, trying to figure out all this crypto business, and what it seems to come down to is: fee's, risk, fee's, more fee's, more risk, probably losses, and then a couple more fee's. 😂🤣
I am deciding I'd like to move my crypto over to a hardware wallet. I appreciate your video for the info. The only question I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere is what happens if something happens in the future and the software for the wallet isn't accessible anymore, are you screwed? I may not be understanding correctly though. In essence it's a little mini computer that talks to the blockchain for you via software. I know your wallet is technically on the blockchain, but if something happens to the hardware and or software is there any possible way to still have access to communicating with your wallet?
Your crypto is stored on the blockchain. It is secured by a key which is generated by the wallet. Your cold wallet simply provides you with a secure environment to manage and store that key. Even if you lose the wallet or the app disappears, you can always access your wallet using your seed phrase (the key) and another brand wallet. So no, you’re not screwed. And you’re not reliant on one specific wallet or app. The important thing is that you keep your seed phrase safe

Yes you can import the seed phrase created on your exodus wallet to Tangem. Nothing happens to your wallet. Remember, the wallet doesn’t store crypto, everything is attached to your seed phrase. Not your wallet That said, I don’t recommend importing a hot wallet seed phrase into a cold wallet as that defeats the purpose. Best to create a new seed phrase and transfer crypto to that wallet
Best solution for traveller with no home base for storing crypto? Imo globetrotting with physical wallet and seed phrase is risky. How about spread crypto over a few different exchanges and/or mobile wallet for easy access?
I never recommend storing crypto on an exchange, too risky. I have friends that can’t access thousands of dollars worth of crypto stored on exchanges. And if you’re willing to use a self custodial mobile wallet, might as well use a hardware wallet. As long as you don’t mind using your phone to manage crypto, I’d recommend the Tangem wallet as a traveler. Super durable and they’re cards so they fit in your physical wallet. - Alex
When do you get the Keyphrase to keep your wallet safe? 6:35 When you buy the wallet does it come with its own keyphrase? Surely that wouldn't be safe... Or do you have to set one up, and how do you set up the most important keyphrase? thanks
@@grantmail4112 When you buy a wallet it doesn’t come with a seed phrase. It’s during the setup process when one is randomly generated. Wallets randomly generate a unique seed phrase using what’s called a random number generator which you then record and use to access your crypto account on the blockchain. No, hardware wallets (cold wallets) do not charge any monthly fees to keep your crypto safe. Once you buy the wallet, you own it outright, and there are no ongoing fees just for storing your crypto. Wow thank YOU 🙏
A Question Please: I sent some ETH to my LEDGER a few months ago. It never arrived. OH S--T, Ledger said I sent it on the wrong network. That they did not support it. So, are my funds lost? My Ledger battery has died, and I ordered a new Trezor 3 safe yesterday. You talked about how many networks this uses. So, is there any chance I can recover the funds? I sent them from Pionex, so I think the info is still there. Well, it's worth asking. Before, I had always sent a small amount to make sure it arrived Opps...This time, I did not, and of course, it was a large amount. Thank You for any help or Ideas you may have.@@cyberscrilla
Please choose the network carefully and make sure that the selected network is the same as the network where you are withdrawing funds. If you select the wrong network, you will lose your funds.(TREZOR Q&A) OUCH! that hurt
@@randystevens2710 Yes always choose the same network and do a test send in case you mess up.
How is ledger nano s & x ?
Ledger Nano S Plus and X are fine. Just small. But equally as secure as Ledger’s new models the Flex and Stax
I hope one day Coinbase will produce a hardware wallet😊
@@Rhond5that’s why u put a pin on ur sim and have 2 factor authentication
@@dotlmao5565 is that done through settings on iPhone?
Coinbase are scammers. And technically they have their own cold wallets. They are directly invested in Onekey hardware wallets
@@cyberscrillahow are coinbase scammers?
Bro. Is there gonna be a give away for the Tangem ring? I’d love one for myself.
I’ll try to arrange that 👍
@@cyberscrilla That’d be awesome!
Are crypto credit cards a hardware wallet
No
Can say Charlie who has a hardware wallet and owes me 50.00 send it directly to my Hardware wallet? Also if Charlie was a crook and instead of sending me 50.00 could he instead empty my wallet which had say 10,000 in it. Thanks for a great video.
Yes, anyone can send crypto to your wallet assuming they know its public address.
And no, people can’t randomly empty your wallet. They’d have to either know your seed phrase, or you’d have to give them access.
@@cyberscrillaThanks kindly for your response as much appreciated
You’re welcome! Happy to help
nice
Did you send ETH on ARB? Can't you only view Eth or other crypto send on other networks via third party apps?
No, I sent ETH on Ethereum. And I’m not sure what you mean.
This is why i bought bitcoin on etf only and i’m sleep very well now. 👏
I'm gonna guess the address I get from my crypto wallet remains the same for all receiving crypto?
Different blockchains will generate different receiving addresses. But your ethereum address for example remains the same.
@cyberscrilla thank you for the reply. I was just looking at the website Gemini, seems a little sketchy. When I click on something be it a phone or the website. The response is very slow like it's trying to think something over. Opinions are welcome.
@ZappedBunny not sure what you’re taking about
@@cyberscrilla Gemini website doesn't seem to respond normally. Very slow to respond to clicks.
why paid 50% fee for storing Eth in cold storage ? 0.0004 Eth transferred in your demo for 0.003 Eth, Total 0.007
Love your channel but when explaining how to do something, please talk slower. You talk very fast. I have to keep going back and forth to write down the info. Pauses help too. Remember, we are new and it like a new language. Thanks!
Thanks working on fixing this. You can slow down the video too in by clicking the gear icon and select playback speed

believe it or not these exchanges are shady
Exactly why you don’t want to keep crypto on them. Treat exchanges like an exchange, not a wallet.
Very not helpful
@@dejan8416 I’m sorry, why wasn’t it helpful?

Yes it was helpful thats true

Not for beginners, didn’t actually explain anything just showed how you do it.
I provided important tips and showed you how to do it step by step. How could it have been better?
