- The liver is the second largest organ in the body and is responsible for many different functions that are crucial for our health, from digestion to detoxification. In this video, we go through the structure of a liver lobule (the basic functional unit) and see how its structure link to the liver's various functions. Notice that there are many links to other important reactions and functions of different parts of the body!

Glad you found the video helpful :) I'd suggest checking the specification. The textbook often provides extra info/background to help us better understand the topic but not always necessary to know or memorise. The spec tells you exactly what you need to know, and so you can use that to help you make concise notes. Hope this helps! :)

generally the portal vein is wider than the artery. from what i have seen in all diagrams
