I haven't purchased their shelving system (yet) so I can't really compare them, however, I do love all the ways you can use them and do think that they offer more styling options and accessories.

Those are the "Method" brand. I also like the "Mrs. Meyer's" brand. I do not make my own cleaners (yet).

What is the height of the actual door itself? There's a little wiggle room when it comes to tightening both the top and bottom pieces

It is a good system if you have enough clearance behind the closet door.
Yes! In this case, we had plenty of space. We are going to be moving it to a different door that will have far less clearance soon.
