- After 2 years of planning we are finally starting on the equipment storage building down in the wood yard. We’re using the same builders we used for the garage addition

These guys are so efficient , no wasted movement. Never seen a crew work so well together.
Nice footprint for your new building. You will enjoy the new
work area.
joy
Awesome, Adam's building his own home depot 😮
🤣🤣🤣👍🏻

🙊
You can really tell that these guys have done this many times before, no wasted time or effort. Everything pre- cut and stacked where it's needed, and everyone knows his job and is always ready for the next step! Very professional! Nothing more satisfying than watching people who know their trade work!
Yeah the prep work before they start framing is impressive
Sorry, but this is a tiny job for a carpenter. No concrete, etc. They do a good job, of course. Look at RR Buildings.
Fun to watch the time lapse’s.
It's almost hard to tell the real time building speed vs the time lapse. That crew is a model of speed and efficiency.
Adam, your empire is growing with the addition of every bit of infrastructure. The pond situation is a major bummer. Anyway, stay safe healthy and cool. Bill H from Cranberry Township
Thanks Bill
Wish I had a dollar for each time you have to work on your pond. Great job so far on the building.
They are doing an amazing job and I'm definitely taking a quote from them for the barn i plan to build next summer (lord willing)
The only thing missing from this was Han Solo and Aragorn drinking lemonade handed to them by 'Charlie'
Sure is a lot of wood to earth contact on this building. The Poles will probably last 30+ years, but very difficult to replace when times comes to that. Looks good, and these teens have definitely tried this before.
I must be getting old because I would’ve guessed those framers are 15 years old

To the worker putting the posts in. “Pull your pant up”. You ain’t a “gangsta”
Pleasure to watch young professionals ply their trade. Need more young fellers like these.
Interesting that they use a dry pour for the posts. Seems to be about 50/50 on whether one should do a wet pour or a dry pour for them. Down here in GA, I'd be putting shrink wrap around the posts that's about 12" above and 12" below ground level. I have old treated lumber posts on one of my buildings that need to be replaced due to insect damage and some subsequent rot as a result of it.
Pull a diagonal when you get a chance. Just interested to see how close they get. The guys that build walls on the ground and use concrete brackets for posts always say these types aren't square and always end up causing issues over time as things expand and contract at angles. I'll also be interested to see in a couple years if you see any ground line decay on the posts. I'm still deciding if the higher price is worth it for the "upgrade" to brackets and a building built with chain binders to get perfect square walls.
Thats going to be a great space for the firewood operation. Those guys do nice work. You should have them fix the lean to Doug and i helped build before it falls down.
Lol
I build pole barns and it’s nice looking pole barn. Dry pour for posts though? Not unless it’s a fence. At a minimum it should have footers poured 12” thick below frost line. Scary to think about how much the longevity of the building is reduced without a proper footing.
Wow, watching those teenage boys working together. Brings back good memories of my time in the Army when All Hands made light work. Those boys are very well trained and very efficiently working together. You won't find that kind of work ethic in teens that age here in So. Cal. I don't blame the teens here, they don't know what their parents haven't taught them. A great vid❤❤❤
Amazing how fast you can build when OSHA doesn’t slow you down 👍🏼And nobody died 🤟🏻🤟🏻
I would have wanted proper footings, and placed the posts on top of these - with them directly in the dirt, they will not last long, however well they may have been treated. Just IMHO
There are 150-year-old barns built exactly like this all over PA. It is a common building practice that is time-proven, at least in this area.
Good morning Adam! Congrats on starting the new building.
Beautiful. Gonna be a nice big space. Those guys are humpin! Around here OSHA would shut that operation down pretty quick though. Probably why it would cost much more to be done here.
Good morning Adam, this crew is Top Shelf, they compliment each other throughout the build with Teamwork, Product Placement and Lockstep Build Facilitation. I can only imagine how Excited you must be with the Process and seeing your Vision Coming to Life. 😀👍👍👍
I am very excited
Awesome. Congrats on the new building.
come with me, and you`ll see, a world of osha violations
It's good to see young men learning a skill and working hard rather than playing on their phones. Cheers to this crew and their leader.
Well, let's stay positive. The building looks great and those guys are obviously skilled... now the pond... I could hear it in your voice. That's all I have to say about that. Keep your head up Adam! 🤠👍
Very impressive on how well they have things dialed in with the framing. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
Awesome. Curious...did they add any uplift protection? As much as loads push down...they also pull up and with that roof and open air force lifting up....buildings do pull out of the ground. I put concrete in bottom of holes...let it set up...added lags to bottom of post and then concreted them in at bottom and then backfilled. This provides uplift protection. Maybe a personal preference....
That pond is the biggest waste of money i have ever seen!
Thats a beautiful sunset happening as Adam is explaing the building layout.
Exciting times for you, Adam! 👍
Your sister’s pool looks better and better all the time.
Sorry, but you gave this guys a lot of credit. Maybe you look up RR Buildings that is real quality, these guys. Sorry to say that they are average.
will those timbers not rot in the ground ?
No
Won't last 40 years.
@CharlesReiche that's what I was thinking. Seems slightly odd to go to all that effort and not even protect what's in the ground at least with some DPM paint and plastic?
Charles you know nothing
@@daveklein2826 please explain. im interested to know. every fence post i've seen put in the ground has rotted inside 10 years. Whats different with these building posts?
How deep in the ground are these posts. You said 14’ and 16’ above ground.
I wonder why used the dry cement instead the wet one ? Young boys looks professional, they did such a great work .
obviously safety is not a thought in this construction crews mind
Love the OSHA approved man lift
Seeing them dump dry cement into the holes got me “internet researching” 😂 dry pack vs mixed. Did they even pour water on top at any point?
Are you going to have another tote to set nearby as a "control" to compare your results to?
Where is their harnesses. Definitely not safe standing in a bucket
Thanks Adam.
BUT. Why so high ???
Looking so great, Adam! I am wondering if this company is from a New Order Amish community near you. They appear to work very well together. Fast and efficient! No messing around, just getting the work done and doing it well. That one guy might need suspenders, tho. LOL
Right size for a Homecinema.
Guess you chose to not use those old trusses you paid to have transported there a while ago?
This was my first time seeing this kind of framing. I really liked it.
RR Buildings
They've done that before.
Sorry to hear about the pond. I was suspecting there was a problem. The building is impressive. And your filming and commentary was great. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting,
Awesome! Congrats!... WAY TO SMALL! :)))
Looking good Adam. That barn is going to be a game-changer for you. Just hope nobody from OSHA watches the video.
How much more monies did it cost having that kind of framing compared to the more normal / other way ?
Coblentz doesn’t normally build the traditional way so we didn’t even price it out the other way. So I’m not sure
@@HometownAcres your CPA I thought that was one of the first things you probably figured out lol
Pull your pants up boy
Morning Adam! It’s been so fun watching your channel grow. Congratulations on your success!
Thank you!
@@HometownAcres the day I started watching you was when Mike Morgan mentioned he was causing you to go into debt or something like that. I don’t remember how many subscribers you had at the time. Your fuel storage prompted me to create mine and now I’m thinking I need to upgrade as you have. I really want to get a channel going but I just don’t have content. Or at least, consistent content. Either way, perhaps someday we’ll cross paths. 😊
Good Morning!!! No water for the cement to set up??? Thats strange?!>!
Sweet. That’s going to be a great building. You just might be the first person I know who won’t say I should have built it bigger 😅
Looking forward to the next video already. Thanks for sharing. Congratulations
Coming along nicely! Very exciting for you 😁 Gonna be super nice having that big building and overhang
👍👍😎✌️🤟
That poor pond
Great build, great crew, glad OSHA wasn't watching...
I'm aspiring to be assisting in enhancing your UA-cam algorithm, I have subscribed, liked, and I am actively watching and commenting from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, USA.
Thank you!
Oh no draining the pond again, wow🥲
Well,Adam looks like 👍 before fall comes you’ll be able to get to use the pole barn 😮😊❤
No way! Draining the pond again! I can’t wait for the updated on the pond, and more interested to see what the fix is! Pole barn looks good!
Have to say I was thinking at the beginning of the video
"Hope the pond is ok and doesn't slide into the new barn"
Everyone in sink...know what they are doing. But damn....working out of the bucket very dangerous....Trust me i know.....lol
4:47 - in my neck of the woods, that young fella with no shirt on would last about 40 minutes before he'd need to go to hospital with 3rd degree sunburn...😳...👍🇦🇺
That crew is amazing. Never saw bookshelf framing like that before. My only concern would be sagging over time from the weight of the wall panels.
Awesome build great teamwork. Really great project! 👍
ADAM!!! Holy cow!!😮
Those guys are phenomenal!! They sure do know what they’re doing.
The building is going to be AMAZING!!
Looking forward to watching the rest of the build.
Wicked excellent video content & editing.
Keep up the great work
Have a day
Great teamwork. Great to see that. The accurate spacing of the posts was crazy good, as it looked like the framing in between was all cut the same without measuring each opening. The dry pack posts seem fine, but don't understand backfilling much of the holes with dirt so that there is a lot dirt against wood on each post. Seems like it will look great, but perhaps have reduced life until all those posts rot... Everything else looks professional, so am I missing something on that?
Yeah, I was wondering about the post. It looks like they just put dry concrete in. Did you decide on this method versus building concrete pillars with the metal brackets? What are your thoughts on that?
Why would anyone build a post frame structure that they want to last with lumber in the ground? There are multiple options that basically eliminate all future wood rot possibilities for little added $. Makes no sense unless you're just being cheap.
Not Clockwork Orange but Clockwork Hometown Acres
Thanks for the channel Adam. It's always interesting to see the number of timber/lumber sheds you guys build in the US. Here in rural Oz it's nearly always all steel framing and cladding these days. The wooden pole sheds that still exist on our farm are over 100 years old.
Looking good Adam! Have a great weekend,a wonderful evening and God Bless!!!❤😊
I really like that style of framing! You can tell they are an experienced crew. The guy on top with a chainsaw is an absolute cowboy! Ha. Going to be a really nice space. Looking forward to our August reunion!
Haha yeah those guys are afraid of nothin
Interesting the cement in the holes. I’m just replacing 17 year old P.T. Posts that were set in cement with pea gravel at the bottoms for drainage then topped with soil. They were rotted at the cement level
The pond!!! If broke it’s an unfinished project.
Nice! I'm building a smaller 24 x 36 pole barn for a wood shop. Can you explain the reasons you chose to put the poles in the ground? There's a lot of debate about the potential for long term rot even with the PT poles. Thanks! Love your content!
No concrete? Wouldnt u pour the slab first?
The end reminds me of the book title,,, "It was the best of times, It was the worst of times".
The new building has to be so exciting.
Dealing with the pond must be disappointing.
wow the ponds still leaking? Crazy
I watch hundreds of videos a week and this won first place. - give us a gopher hole update since I'm fighting them off my land too.
Most of them have stayed unused but about 2 of them keep getting Doug back out. I had somebody recommend putting mothballs in the holes before filling and they won’t come back. Haven’t tried it yet but I’m going to
Great builder!! Those guys don't waste anytime!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Exciting times for Hometown Acres
That is going to be a very nice addition to the homestead, and the builder is impressive. Too bad about the pond☹️
I see heavy duty pond liners being laid down next. "Told ya so!". Not even clay can hold water for a long time without being refreshed by rain or other means.
Great video Adam! I really enjoyed watching the crew work and your video was professionally done. Can't wait to see the finished product!! Sorry to see that you need to drain the pond again. I hope you find the problem and fix this once and for all.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing. KC Don 😉
I clicked "post" before I saw the pond update!!!! Do me and Farmer Mike need to come out there?!?!
I need you to bring the berm with you
@HometownAcres ohh man!! Looking forward to catching up on that. I have an idea. It won't be cheap, but it would definitely be a fix!
That’s going to be great!
8:00 You can see these guys are the real deal because they are writing on the board 😅
Did they ever put water in that concrete or is it still dry in the bottom of the holes?
I was distracted by Captain Underpanrs!
Well that was disappointing end to a video. lol
Very exciting!!!
That's incredible.
How exciting, you'll love the new barn
