You just gave the perfect example of why most truckers don't make it. You can do it cheaper because of no payments. Then another does it cheaper because of no payments or family. Then no payments, family or home. Just pay the fuel, feed the driver and call that "success". Yeah, let's all compete with that! Probably best if you stick to your t-shirt business that keeps you afloat.
Thanks Tim, I'm not a trucker but your thoughts and wisdom still applies. Trying to get in the black and your words struck me. Thank you!! Let the haters hate! God Bless and best of luck!

Sometimes you have to back to basics, but you are very blessed having paid off equipment. Your trucks are nice looking and sufficient. Up here in WV the tin mill is shutting down in April due to China steel. My son is one of the 900 employees losing their jobs up here in the Northern Panhandle. That will hurt the truckers up here that haul the rolled steel.
TIM YOU UNDERSTAND HOW TO BE THE NICHE GUY AND HOW TO DELIVER OTHER SERVICES TO CUSTOMERS THAT OTHER COMPANIES WON'T SO MUCH. SOMETIMES ITS CHEAPER TO RENT EQUIPMENT FOR SEASONAL FREIGHT THAN HAVING EQUIPMENT SITTING IN YARD. YOU ARE ALSO BLESSED WITH A LOT OF FAMILY HELP ALSO. WOULD LOOK FORWARD TO SIT AND VISIT WITH YOU AND STEVE SOMETIME.
If I were you I would focus on mechanical work and capitalizing on the shop and bring it to it's full potential. You should focus on obtaining fleet accounts. Doing mechanical work for owner operators is problematic and requires more work when it comes to billing and warranty work. Contracts with fleet customers have multiple benefits, fleet customers usually pay monthly so it simplifies billing for everyone. Regular scheduled maintenance work will give you a guaranteed month revenue. You can have set prices for the regular scheduled maintenance which contributes to easier billing. Repair and maintenance contracts from just a few smaller fleets would keep your shop full. What is needed is a clean and organized shop with standardized procedures and you need a good shop management software. Good management software will cover all aspects of running a shop and it will handle estimations including parts cost. The software should track all customers and automatically send invoices on set intervals. There is no reason why that shop can not generate 100k monthly. Running the shop as a separate business from the trucking company can be beneficial, you would want to bill the trucking company for the same rates as fleets. No matter what repairs are always needed. Investigation in the equipment required for dpf cleaning would also be a good idea since it's another revenue stream along with wheel alignments. A shop compliments the towing business and you can offer discounts on towing if they give you the repair work as well. You are currently running the shop like a side business when it should be ran as a stand alone business. The towing and repair side could be integrated into one business. That type of structuring can be beneficial to reducing tax liabilities.

When you put yourself out there for the world to see, you'll always get people who make comments that have a negative tone but, you'll have more people that are very positive and this group becomes your revenue stream. Just be thankful you live in a country that has a huge population. Try living where I do and run a youtube channel. It's a very small market that makes it difficult to make any sort of income off of yt. It's not impossible but very difficult because of the much smaller population. You'd be lucky to get 1000 subscribers.
Hey Tim, I took a few classes that the professor said that the number one priority of businesses is not to make money but to make decisions to stay in business. If you think about it, it makes sense.
I just had to comment. I started a business in Aug of last year and today I had to sell my 4-wheeler because I am waiting on checks to come in from commercial accounts. Gotta do what ya gotta do to keep the business going. we will start making profit very soon. One day I will have enough money to buy a better 4-wheeler. Told my wife, it had to go, I don't want to live on the street on a 4-wheeler. Hahaha
Tim, if you use "SHARK HYDE" on those tanks to polish them and seal the pores of the aluminum with it they will stay shining for a long long time like a new aluminum diamond plate tool box does.
Ive always wondered why do American Fraightliner Argosy's have those weird steps on them but all the ones hear in Australia you open the cab door and the steps slide out and its easier to get in the cab
It’s rough on us and we are all on a gravy haul we have had for over a decade. We are down to only 3 good company guys and we all work really well together. I feel so bad because my trailer finally got too bad and my boss had to buy me a newer one right when we put my truck down for all new brakes and s cams, wheel bearings, fuel lines and kingpins and steers. It’ll literally take me a month to pay for all this and that’s if nothing else happens.
Hey Tim how are you doing today my friend Im so happy that everyone is hlpeiing you on fishing western truck and it takes a them to put a truck together and I love watching our UA-cam videos they are very educational videos and I'm very proud of all of you so keep up the good work and it's not easy the way the atonement is today it's very hard for you to pay your in poues that work for and I understand that form your personality and financial it's not easy at all

If I remember the first videos this channel was ALL braxs channel and income, go watch when they got Air Force truck from Bruce Wilson. Post if anyone finds these videos
The trucking business sucks. I've been in it for 31 years, and I've never seen it this bad. That's the reason I sold my equipment and started driving a company truck.
I had a break down costing me $7.5k dd15 fuel pump. I'm in the red about $18k right now because I bought tires a few months ago, seats, this new breakdown, installed a used apu.

You'd be lucky to get 1000 subscribers.
Y'all need the Ice Box upgrade for the radiator and intercooler, plus the Dynaflex chrome pipe kit under the hood
Hahaha
Same people call that junk truck but that is what build this country
Tim, just in case you may have missed it with all that you have going on but truckpaper has a ton of Argosys for sale....
If any one can make it through hard times it's Gentry's. Great video Westins truck is lookin fine!!!
Tim, if you use "SHARK HYDE" on those tanks to polish them and seal the pores of the aluminum with it they will stay shining for a long long time like a new aluminum diamond plate tool box does.
Awesome to see the plan coming together! Looking forward to the next updates! 🍻🍻
Wow some random figures on a white board thanks for showing us

I like the positive attitude you have!
Amen I've been down your Road I'm very blessed off where I'm at right now at 70 years old
Ive always wondered why do American Fraightliner Argosy's have those weird steps on them but all the ones hear in Australia you open the cab door and the steps slide out and its easier to get in the cab
Looking awesome
..stay safe and see you on the next one
It’s rough on us and we are all on a gravy haul we have had for over a decade. We are down to only 3 good company guys and we all work really well together. I feel so bad because my trailer finally got too bad and my boss had to buy me a newer one right when we put my truck down for all new brakes and s cams, wheel bearings, fuel lines and kingpins and steers. It’ll literally take me a month to pay for all this and that’s if nothing else happens.
I love driving trucks done been all over but I had to come out the truck for awhile.
Lookin good guys!! Could be one big party when it's done!! Hopefully your not to tired out to enjoy the final finished project!

I have been following the journey with Weston's truck I think that it will look awesome when it is finished, good job, I enjoyed the video.

Summer around the corner everything will wake and your hauling boats that a + and wide range you can haul anything you got the stuff to do it
The trucking business sucks. I've been in it for 31 years, and I've never seen it this bad. That's the reason I sold my equipment and started driving a company truck.
1:15 I’m in the red too… but my truck has been down for almost 3 months.
Sad when you have a show truck paint job and the rest of the truck is half assed
now a days businesses are not a bed of roses people who start from nothing and build the buisness up appreciate and spend money wisely
Been 1.5 years trying to get a rig on the road. Air leaks alone so tired of AIR lol
Tim, u and your crew are doing a fine job on the truck.
I do love your videos. I just wish some of the lives you do were a vlog instead of a live video. I wish seeing you start westons truck was in a vlog.
The truck looking Tim it's coming right along good job guy's
I had a break down costing me $7.5k dd15 fuel pump. I'm in the red about $18k right now because I bought tires a few months ago, seats, this new breakdown, installed a used apu.
Good job man hang in there
I cannot wait till it’s complete I’m excited to see it lol
My truck lost a little over $90,000 last year. I'm hoping it will get better soon or yhe fuel prices would drop.
Keep up the good work guys your killing it
Sometimes we have to tell our kids NO..
