I chose not to record in VR in order for viewers to feel comfortable; so they can put all of their focus on the game, not the shaky POV of the player.

I have no idea how faithful this VR is to the novels, but if so, I'm surprised how they can still banter to silly things. I would have thought they'd be more lovey dovey.
Banter IS them being lovey dovey.
Theyre now free to express deep emotion when it comes to it. But that's how they are bantering was never just a way to get each other into bed.

Girls love it when the guy recalls their first move. This one was holos big move to start a life with lawrence.
She played it as she always do, but it's clear here what her motivations really were back then.

Nice to see the daughter for the first time. Nice flashback to how they first met with the marten pelt, but I was hoping they'd be more loving of each other instead of their familiar teasing and bantering.
pretty sure Holo puts in effort to keep him teased everyday
Batering and teasing is what makes the loving moments more special

Glad I noticed it in my recommendations, I had completely forgot about the VR releasing recently.
I've never read the novels yet but spoiled myself in the sole fact that after the main events, the later books is an after story with their daughter.

The story is so wholesome! I love it!
Though I find a little bit strange that Holo would get upset to Lawrence if he selled wolf fur, I mean in the 2nd season she said that she wouldn't get upset if she found out that Lenos's merchants selled wolf fur.
Also I wish I the story mode was a little longer and that it would focus a little bit on side characters like Tote Cole. Other than that, it really warms my heart to see Lawrence and Holo with their child!
I want so bad a season 3 for the anime version! The anime version only covered like less than 50% of the Light novel!

She's probably not upset with the idea of a wolf being hunted as much as she is at the implied disrespect at the idea of Lawrence procuring a wolf pelt when his own wife and daughter are wolves.
A random merchant she doesn’t know selling a wolf pelt is probably less offensive to her than her husband selling one.
He cuddles with her and she's proud of her fur, and moreso that her love finds comfort in her precious tail.
Lawrence buying special wolf fur for himself is an offense to her, as she calls it "cheating", as she wants Lawrence to find comfort and warmth through her only.
It was a tease as well, and a flirting.

Lawrence's family is definitely not PETA friendly lol
That's what makes this great. They're not Left-friendly in anything. The Globos hate them because they're burning firewood for charcoal and smoked meat ("Carbon emissions! The Icecaps will disappear in the year 2000"). The Homos hate them because it's a traditional father and mother having a wholesome conversation with their daughter (How dare you not use "pronouns"). The "animal-rights" activists hate them because they eat meat, sell furs, and overall have a traditional lifestyle and diet ("Eating meat is unnatural"). And the Com-mees hate them because Lawrence is using basic trade and budgeting ("Math is racist") to better his life and provide for his family ("The government needs to replace the Nuclear Family"). This scene really checks off everything they hate.
I came here again after I saw Myuri in the beginning of 2024 reboot anime
I saw first the original spice and wolf, it let me a little of grief with that final of a season, but the opening of the first reboot episode felt like somebody saying "don't worry fellas, we made it"

I still prefer the 2 ED.

I really hope this influences a remaster of the anime into a full adaption of the main novels.
Myuri looks like an old teenager but sounds like a child for how immature she is to an extent. Interesting personality.
Well holo retains her inner child very well. Myuri likely does too growing up in a nice happy home allows you to keep your inner child alive while having mature aspects of yourself established.

The novels were not enough, please...I'm a business analyst by trade, I will gladly donate my money for more Spice and Wolf anime. Such a unique story among current titles. I have all the novels and some merchandise but I proudly admit this series is my crutch. Spice and Wolf was one of the reasons I got into Enterprise Resource Programs like S.A.P.
You better fund development anime androids. I would give all my money to be with a loved anime android.

Myuri does not appear in the manga at all.
Her first appearance will be in Vol 17 of the light novel.
@@meause I know she doesn't appear in manga - I own all 16 volumes of it, and 10 volumes of LN, so that was why I was asking. ;)
Anyway, thanks - time to reread this great story and buy missing volumes of LN... if only importing it to PL would a little cheaper...
@@Cylindryk Well there is now a manga being released that covers the Wolf & Parchment sequel, the first volume of which has just been published in English. I hope that the original manga artist comes back to draw the Spring Logs but I'm not sure how likely that is seeing as it could take another 10 years to draw!
