- Towards 97 last MDI3000WT Engine and KMT90 GB introduced.
Differential ratio changed to 3.75 earlier it was 4.27
Hence the mileage and top speed increased
( MDI3000wt )
*2522cc 4cylinder inline diesel engine
Max power:52 @ 3000rpm
Max torque: 16kgm @ 1800rpm
Max speed: above 100kmph
Mileage : around 17-18 kmpl
*white soft top introduced.
*5meter console introduced
*meter dash got new model bigger warning lambs
also @1999 some modification done and
2523cc engine with max power 55bhp@3000rpm
and same torque also produced till 2000 first

96 DI മോഡൽ മുതലേ സീറ്റ് ബെൽറ്റ് , hook, split seat ഇവ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു . ഫുട് സ്റ്റെപ്പ് , മീറ്റർ കൺസോൾ ആൻഡ് ഗിയർ ബോക്സ് ഇവ മാത്രം ആയിരുന്നു വ്യത്യാസം .ആദ്യം ഇറങ്ങിയ വണ്ടികൾ 120 Km/Hr വരെ പോകുമായിരുന്നു . അപകടങ്ങൾ കൂടിയപ്പോൾ പിന്നീട് സ്പീഡ് കുറച്ചു.

97 ജനുവരിയിൽ ഡെലിവറി ആയ 96 മോഡൽ DI ലും MD യിലും sptit സീറ്റ് ,hook , സീറ്റ് ബെൽറ്റ് ഇവ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു . സീറ്റ് ബെൽറ്റിനു വേണ്ടി 20000 രൂപക്കുമേൽ വിലയും കൂട്ടി വാങ്ങി.
