QUESTION: how do I restrict other people accounts in my home from watching certain videos? Do I create different libraries or collections. If I have to create different libraries then how do I do move my mp4 files or point to them. When I created different accounts I only see my entire Plex library of all of my videos.

I followed your steps to share a library with a family member. In my PLEX Settings, "Users & Sharing" I see that i share a library with a family member. This family member sees also in the settings the shared library, but does not appear on the menu and cannot access it. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Caroline. Thank you for what you do. I learned so much in 9 minutes. But I was somewhat disillusioned by the PLEX sharing ability. I thought I was sharing MY content, but I was actually sharing a HUGE basket of commercial, subscription supported, and off color content as well. I'm still trying to work out the details, but unless there is a work around, this has kinda left me feeling like I'm sending friends a junk invitation. Is there a way to send just MY content to like minded friends and family. Maybe they have to accept the invite and then unpin the extra stuff?
If I have a quest and my wife has a quest I know that if we want to play in the same game we both need to purchase the same game we can't share one. If we want to watch a movie, I use Plex, and skybox or use any free game together or something like virtual tour can that be done together? .

Thanks for the easy to follow instructions. Always had the hardest time allowing my friends to access my plex server, didn't know they needed their own account! 😆

It may be that your Ports in the router may not be open to letting Plex send out the content.

I keep thinking I should go Full Plex rather than running Kodi on various devices. Be nice to have a shared database spanning all the devices.
Is this option only for plex pass users because I don't have it on my plex server running on my windows

7:05 this is not true, if the person owning the Plex server has a plex pass subcroiption, then everyone gets premium features in the same home.
