    It’s my dream to be an actor one day but the problem is I’m known to not show any emotions at all also most of my facial expressions don’t match or don’t show what emotion I’m feeling. But one day I wish I can be as good as he is

      Advire 7796 me too I can’t believe u experience the same exact thing as me. Have u found any tips or anything on how to break out of that?

    • @Advire-kx6gr

      Gage Stroik with my facial expressions, I don’t really know that much but what I do is try to look in the mirror and make a facial expression for example, confusion and you kind of have to exaggerate it a bit if you’re not good at showing emotion and I guess you could look up faces that match different moods and try to replicate them. That’s all really I’m not helpful when it comes to these things

      Advire 7796 no that actually was helpful I appreciate u for that. I’m just now becoming a big of Johnny Depp and I think it’s crazy how becomes these crazy characters when him as a person is very monotone and kinda emotionless which is a lot like me I wish I could just flip the switch and turn into different characters like that it would be fun

      Or you could use that to your advantage.. you won't stand out if you show emotion or expression like everyone else, but you don't have to try since you already do.. you see it as a disadvantage? I see it as the hugest advantage.
      It goes back to that saying "There's only so many faces you can wear."

    Yes, when the person is saying something interesting on screen, turn up the music so loud you can barely hear what they're saying. Always a savvy production technique.

    I'm not gonna get all cheesy, but I've been wanting to be an actor like Johnny Depp for so long, but I feel like it's too unrealistic, just how funny he is, when he goes to hospitals for children, signing as many autographs as he can, it makes me smile to see that.

    I love this … I wish I knew someone like Johnny Depp , when I was younger an being physically an emotionally being abused … to me it was normal … I feel worthless to this an still do to this day 😞… I’m just so amazed to be in the same era as Johnny Depp !! 1966 here lol , I still have my demons , they dissipate at times … but Hey everyone has a story right !!

    Thanks man, I just got one question. How can one improve if they feel that they’re not improving?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  5 років тому +22

      Stop doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Change what your doing. If you notice eating loads of cake doesn’t give you a lot of energy than stop eating cake.
      You need time to test things out and you need to know when to let what your doing go. For example you heard sugar gives you a lot of energy, so you begin eating loads of cake, but find that your energy maybe spikes for a second, but you’re drained for 99% of your day. Well the next day stop eating the cake and eat some fruits/vegetables and find which ones make you feel good. If what you’re doing for your acting right now isn’t working/giving you the results you want after some time than change it up.
      Hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions.

      How do I do that? Doing serious, emotional, deep stuff seems like the only thing out there. What are some other types of characters that are different than that?

      @@niklausmikalson5254 "Doing serious, emotional, deep stuff seems like the only thing out there." I find it hard to understand, given what you said, how one could even be unsure of the reasons for not "improving", whatever that means, with that contention in mind.

    The reason he is as good as he is is because he doesn't do it for the money or the fame he does it for the pur love of acting and that is what makes a good acting and good things don't come from sitting around saying I want to be this u know u got to believe that u will be a actor and u have to put in the work u have to want to eat sleep Drink acting u know u have to want it so put the work in and u will get better and u have to be happy 😊 ☺ and be able to die for it.

    Denzel does the same thing over and over as well as the Rock and yet that didn’t make them bore the audience. Depp has never made anything as good as Training Day.
