"You know how you want to love them, audiophiles know this" - Wow, you're on a roll today. Cracking me up.
Decent set. I order them using your link. One of the things I really like and use often are ez-hooks. What I do with my existing probes is clip one side of the ez-hook to my probe tip, and the other side to what I'm measuring. They are a little small and tend to slip off the probes, so I like that they're built in to connect and that they're short.
I also like the terminal strip connectors, what I end up doing there is using an ez-hook under the screw which is a bit hard on the ez-hooks because they tend to bend in an arc as you snug the screw.
I do like the accessory set.

I love these leads as well! I'm in China and here you can actually order the tips separately if you break some of them. Costs about $1 each pair.

Thanks for the heads up on these leads. I too have gone down many a rabbit hole with different leads including multiple Probemaster sets. I quit using them and went back to standard Fluke TL71, even though more expensive, because the latest versions of Probemaster cables used some type of silicone that I found TOO flexible. Probemaster's probes are small and lightweight and the cables are floppy so much that they are springy and will easily fall on the floor, and usually land point first. With PVC or a stiffer silicon, this doesn't happen. And of course, after some time with the point first into the floor, I have to get the file out and resharpen the tips. Replaceable tips certainly have me sold on this set you have shown. Thanks again for the info on these! :)

I pesonally use Hirschmann test probes and leads. I`ve got so accustomed to them that, now, I can`t stand this modern type of probes that are supplied with most of the instruments. I like the fact that most of the probe is insulated and just the tip is bare. Ordinary bananas too, no shrouded sh..t.

Definitely appreciate this! I am really wanting to upgrade my equipment. Currently have a fluke 17B+ from when I didn't know anything and it does what I need but want to get a better handheld meter, and always am keeping my eye out for a 6.5 digit bench top eventually. All that aside that is a great affordable upgrade that would greatly improve my "quality of life". Thank you for sharing!

Might have to try these. I have been swearing by the probemasters for years. I just feel like I know what I am buying when I have them. I’ll try a pair of these out when I inevitably need another set of leads. I have not been impressed by most of the Amazon leads my last company just bought whatever sets, hopefully these are better.

Belated happy birthday to you!! I just ordered a set of leads for my Simpson 260-8 VOM from Probemaster. Just the other day while I was pondering where to get leads for the Simpson VOM (ebay) which is on its way to Austria from Tulsa, Ok. The item was sold without leads. The other day while following Alan's YT channel (call sign W2AEW video#322) he did a wonderful detailed review of Simpson VOMs and the various compatibility issues and mentioned leads from Probemaster. Subsequently I placed an order with them; they cost just $25, although postage to Vienna costs another 25$ but fortunately available. Simpson 260-8 uses reverse banana plugs so no other way around it. Bless you and thanks for sharing your valuable experiences. simon/Austria

Love those probes. Just approved it's like 25 bucks. For the probes and some adapters it's 38 bucks. I know the feeling the hand is a very personal thing and I love it. For the price in my opinion they're unbeatable. Also I have big banana basket hands from fixing cars for decades.

Happy birthday!!! I love your channel and have some suggestions. First of all can you do some basics such as how to use your multi meter properly, what's inductors/capacitors, AC circuits etc..
Make some more debunking videos if you could get your hands on this astronomically overpriced power cable Kimber PowerKord Palladian that has some hideous box in the middle of the cable. What the hell is it? What does it do? If you could get its data sheet it would be awesome. I asked for it but couldn't. They just said it's a RF filter. We have to know what it really is before we spend thousands of dollars on a power cable.

BTW, Loved your rant. I agree totally. Basically your paying for the name on the higher price test equipment. Like you mentioned, if I think a critical reading is not quite right, check it with another meter. I love Dave's channel also, but when you're getting all that free gear, you are going to support them. There are a lot of great test equipment out there just as good as the higher (outrageous) price stuff.

Hi Eddy. Just a couple of comments. Probe Master leads are not made of PVC. They are silicone. Moreover, they are not $50 a set. Probe Master leads are $24.50. The basic Probe Master kit with several attachments is around $38. They are made in the USA. Not sure how you can honestly compare those cheap Chinese leads with Probe Masters. Probe Masters also have a threaded probe that allows for the secure attachment of accessories. Thanks for the review, but I'll stick with Probe Master. Happy birthday!

The Probe Master leads that I showed are PVC, but I also have several sets made from Silicone. I could only find this one set of Probe Master leads sets on Amazon - and they are $49.97. amzn.to/3vTeQS4
I like these leads better than my Probe Masters. I don't like the soft flexible pen - it is just too small for my hand - but it it the way that they are designed. I used to just deal with it, until I got my Testo Leads and the my FLIR leads, but then I found these. It isn't fair to simply count them out until you try them.
I've been using my set of these low cost leads for over a year - and love them. When doing surface mount work - they are the best. The Probe Masters are sharp but the pen is too fat and the tip is too short for many boards.

I literally have and use the blue Neoteck 23-in-1 at work and use them exclusively every single day, all day with my trusty Fluke 79III. I had no idea what brand they were or where they came from, and we have Fluke and Pomona probes of course, but I always prefer these. I've tried searching for them a few times and gave up a while ago. I did the biggest double-take in history when I saw the thumbnail for this video. Unfortunately, they're now not available on Amazon - hopefully they can restock them and hopefully they're still in production. I'll buy at least 5 kits. I may try and source them straight from Neoteck. I wonder if I can buy a 50-pack of the 1.0mm gold-plated probe tips? :P

Hi Eddie - Happy Birthday! - you say that your Probe Masters have PVC leads - both the 8000 and 9100 series Probe Master sell today claim to have silicone leads - I think they do have PVC handles - is that what you meant? - maybe you can try soldering iron test on the Probe Master and Chinese leads and handles to see which parts are real silicone
Thanks for your feedback. The probe masters come in all different configurations. The ones that I was showing have the PVC leads. But I have others with silicone. You can order them in all types of configurations. They are great, but the low cost ones that I am showing here are awesome!

I think there’s also a type, that the pen is separable from the cable, and swapped out directly to other large items like alligator clip, rather than attaching to the leads. Less attachment when used, cleaner I think.

First and foremost, happy birthday! So, I am considering getting an import lead set sold by Ali with the brand name "Cleqee" and on the opposite end a Milwaukee 49-77-1001 set. With the Cleqee set it is a matter of the variety tips and connectors, such as what you demonstrated, while with the Milwaukee I am hoping for a more pure copper content within the wire. Are you familiar with any that are made of pure silver for a more premium solution?
WOW, great question! Silver will not make a better cable. Copper was chosen an long time ago for all the properties that is has. Silver might be better in one property - but worse in others. When it comes to all the properties needed - copper is the best. ;)

Those new test lead looks like they copied keithley/keysight (I don't remember which one) test lead design.
I do have those newer test lead design with replaceable tips, very nice and flexibility to use different tip for different purpose.
I'm thinking using adapted pogo stick for the tip.

I have a pair of Fluke TL-40 test leads I've had for over fifteen years and I love them. Great for surface mount and most other things except maybe household wiring type stuff where you might want something kind of clunky. No disrespect, but your videos are kind of hard to follow along with.

@@KissAnalog No, I bought them since they are really good for fine PCB work and getting through conformal coatings. I first saw them being used by a Tech in the lab where I use to work. At the time they were about $36 but it looks like the price has gone up a fare bit. Silicon leads are thin but have been holding up just fine to my use all these years.
It is funny that you can buy these leads that I show for a fraction of that price. I think it is crazy to ask $36 for test leads...and how long ago was that? Anyway - buy these and save;)
