    IF Ronda can take him down. I'm sorry but Ronda's hands are absolute garbage, and Floyds are world class. He'd knock her out ... and let's be honest, given Floyd's past, you know he wouldn't hesitate XD

      GREAT FIRST AND ONLY EXAMPLE, Royce Gracie brazilian jiu jitsu artist, tiny man, to be more specific 176lbs, 6ft tall. His first fight in the UFC, UFC 1 November 12, 1993 was against a boxer named Art jimmerson 1983 National golden gloves winner at the middle weight category. Art Jimmerson got destroyed, by submission. Rounda knows BJJ and judo just alone, would destroy him.

    You people are living in fantasy worlds. Rousey couldn't take the full power of a male professional fighter, let alone mayweather's speed. Doesn't matter if they are the same size or weight, there will ALWAYS be a strength difference. You people are setting this broad up like she's superwoman, get real and stop dreaming.

      watch her fights, the only thing i see floyd doing is cutting corners, counter punching and defending, i dont remmeber the last time i saw him actually fight anyone. if she had to fight bradley or prodovnikov, people who actually FIGHT, and are agressive, then i wouldnt bet on her. what is floyd going to do when faced with a double leg takedown? shoulder roll and jab, no chance for him.

    • @abcsalad
      @abcsalad 10 років тому +3

      187crackkilla: Ronda would likely wreck Floyd in literally less than 30-45 seconds, streets or MMA match. You do not know fighting if you think he'd have more than a puncher's chance. Her specialty is getting inside and tossing people, and ol' Floyd isn't even a big dude. He doesn't train grappling of any kind, and she's been doing that shit since she was a kid. It's not even close.
      Also, she's likely stronger than him (you are woefully misguided if you think a lifetime of high level judo training hasn't made her abnormally strong), but that doesn't even matter, because he has no training in grappling. He'd be fucking dead as soon as she got her hands on him. She'd spike him on his head and rip his arm off.

    • @aerialdude

      Weak male grapplers have fought strong male boxers all the time in the history of mma. Don't treat it like man vs woman, treat it like man vs less-strong man. Of course there is a strength difference. But weaker grapplers beat stronger strikers 99% of the time. Nothing new here.

    All Floyd has to do is learn takedown defense and he'll be good.

    • @chewbaka747
      @chewbaka747 10 років тому +27

      Unfortunately you don't just 'learn' take down defense. Especially against someone with the highest caliber take down skills like Ronda Rousey.
      In a cage, an MMA fighter would almost certainly win, likewise in a boxing ring (boxing rules), where the boxer would no doubt dominate and most probably come out with a win as well.
      BUT in saying that, we are talking about Floyd Mayweather, whether any one likes it or not, he is an extraordinary athlete.

    If we're talking boxing, then it's HANDS DOWN Floyd. If we're talking MMA then it's 85% Ronda. There is ALWAYS a punchers chance. But when you consider that she's a takedowna and judo/jiu jitsu specialist while Floyd is a punching specialist you have to give the larger percentage to Ronda. In an MMA fight you have to be able to defend the takedown. If you get taken down, you then have to defend the submission. I don't think Floyd could do that. It's apples and oranges here. In a boxing match it's 95% Floyd in an MMA match it's 85% Ronda. I think that's fair.

    • @bighands69
      @bighands69 9 років тому

      So by your logic of a punchers chance she could always connect with him in a boxing ring. What are the chances of that and what are the chances that Floyd would be able to defend her take downs.

    • @1974spr
      @1974spr 9 років тому

      bighands69 If it's a punchers "chance", what makes you think she'll ALWAYS be able to connect? A chance is just that, a chance. He'll be able to defend %85 of her punches realistically. But if one of the %15 is a good connect that could mean the fight's over. Just as she'll be able to defend around %90 of his takedown attempts. I say that because anybody can throw a sloppy punch but a takedown attempt requires a bit more than just strength.

    Couture v James Toney is not a good example to use..firstly..Toney was seriously over weight and Couture could take a punch to shoot for the take down...plus couture is one of the greats of combat sports..Mayweather is too quick on his feet..Rousey got repeatedly tagged by Misah Tate before she got her down..she couldn't eat a decent jab from may weather let alone a solid right..he could probably kill her with MMA gloves...that's not being sexist or pro boxing that's just reality, mayweather would get taken apart by a decent bantam weight, but Rousey is too slow and not experienced enough, the level of competition is not there yet in womens MMA...the Tate fight was abysmal, anyone who thinks that is a decent level of fighting is being duped by marketing, it was dogshit..I'm not dismissing Rousey, you can only beat whats in front of you, but re-watch that fight and look at her walking straight into telegraphed arm-thrown floppy punches from Tate and imagine what a rifle blot straight right from mayweather would do to her face

      youtube booooooo She has to get in range to shoot...Joe Rogan was talking about the clinch like shes just going to be able to psychically engage a much bigger and stronger man..forget that they weight the same ...you have to remember Ronda won't be as strong as him, yeah you know sweeps but you have to get a hold of someone first, physical strength plays a huge part in any altercation, no matter what the discipline. There is not possible way that Rousey is anywhere near as strong, its just a simple biological fact. Stick Mayweather in a GI and she would toss him around like a fart in a blizzard, but shes not just going to walk up and get a hold of him...firstly he would definitely connect and secondly he will be more than match for her strength...

    • @leoalvarez2213
      @leoalvarez2213 10 років тому +2

      dagnut Actually an Olympic level Judo player is insanely strong. I agree that grabbing him would be a tall order, he's fast and strong BUT if she gets a bodylock on him he's done. He simply wouldn't have the skill set to defend in that situation, strenght would have very little to do with it. Personally I would love to see him in the ring with someone like Jose Aldo. Even if they kept grappling completely out of the equation Aldo would kick his legs completely out of boxing range and when the mobility is gone he would remove his head from his shoulders, that simple. I find it kind of amusing how they say Floyd would kill anyone in the UFC. The fact of the matter is that in a straight up boxing match he would, but in a full on striking match he wouldn't get out of the first round

    • @dagnut
      @dagnut 10 років тому +3

      Leo Alvarez I think you should re-read my first comment, I said that any decent male bantam weight would beat maywaeather..its obvious. She may be strong, but strong for a woman, that's not being sexist it's just biological, physiological fact, women don't have the same muscle density and bone structure. A woman has never bettered a male pier at any physical sporting endeavor, and by that I mean setting a measurable record. Ronda would toss an average man about in a judo match, but would see beat an equivalent male top level judo practitioner? no she wouldn't have a chance....I don't even consider her a good MMA fighter she is just so exceptional at grappling she over whelms poor opponents...forget about maywheather, I think if you gave Katie Taylor a years defensive grappling and take down training she would pick Rousey apart. Rousey is just hype, shes just a big fish swimming in an unskilled pond, we will see properly all round skilled women come through and make her look like a has-been.

    I agree that Rhonda would most likely win in an all out fight. Anyone who knows MMA knows that. But sadly, there is a little lack of education on both sides I see. Personally, I've trained as both an MMA fighter and Boxer, and I see where there are disagreements on both sides. MMA is complete fighting, but doesn't regard the timing and accuracy of boxing. As much as Rhonda's striking has improved, you can't discount Floyd's mastery of distancing and timing. There is the possibility that he could catch her coming in, or even walk her down and catch her. That would be a totally different scenario. There is no 100% guarantee that she would flatten Floyd.

      The question is this; would an average MMA fighter of average physical qualities beat a very good boxer that is taller and stronger?
      If the answer is yes, then Rhonda wins. Rhonda is obviously weaker and slower.
      Both of them are world level athletes in the same way that the world's greatest female ice hockey player is just as good as any male player from the olympic team of Canada or Sweden. A male champion could be a woman's champion but not the other way around. People get too excited about Rhonda being an olympic champ and all that and forget that the level of competition is entirely different in these gender segregated contests.

      Mayweather would have to train for a very long time to have any sort of chance against her. He's not a big strong guy, Ronda's the same size as him but she's built to ragdoll people to the ground and brake things. Floyd can't stop the takedown of an elite grappler and he's not gonna get off some perfect punch when mean ass Ronda's storming at him, gets her hands on him and slams him on his back. She'll decide when she wants him down and there's nothing he can do to stop it...

Probably roughly 150 pounds less than Floyd. She couldn't take a single punch. Be serious. The reason why Ronda wins and forces people to the ground is because there's nobody in the women's division that can hit or kick hard enough to keep her off of them. That being said, if she runs in on Floyd she will get knocked out. Floyd's a douche, but give him his respect.

    • @SkepticHeathen
      @SkepticHeathen 10 років тому +5

      I'm not gonna say Floyd wouldn't knock her out..but 9 out of 10 times she'd get him to the ground before getting knocked out. Once he's grappled ( either standing or straight to takedown ) he has zero chance. Give him all the respect in the world, Floyd would win 100% of the time in any boxing match against any UFC fighter ( except maybe some heavyweights just due to size ), but once you've experienced how hard it is to stay on your feet against a grapple artist like Rhonda, it's hard to see it any other way.

      that may be true if she grapples him, IF!!! Floyd's not slow, so he's not just going to stand there and let her grapple him. His antics take away from his intelligence, but he's actually an extremely intelligent fighter, so he's not going to let her grab him. My last point is that he's a man and she's a woman, just because there the same size does not mean they are comparable in strength and speed. Don't let movies gas your head men are the dominant for a reason

      Sheldon Smith I know what you're saying, don't get me wrong, I 100% agree that a man of equal training is almost always going to do better than the woman. What I'm saying is her technique and experience overweigh that gap in athleticism between man vs woman. For an un-skilled (in grappling) man to beat a highly trained woman he needs to be in this case 200+ lbs at least. It's not from movies i get this opinion from, it's from witnessing this on a regular basis. I know Floyd would try to be elusive, not let her close distance unless she's at the right range to get hit but not grapple, but it won't matter. Unless he knocks her out in that first hit or two ( which will likely be partially blocked at the least but it could definitely happen ) he's done. She will close that distance and she will get the takedown, and she will snap his arm or choke him unconscious. If you don't believe me go to any local MMA gym and play a game of trying to punch the other while they attempt to take you down. I know it's not the same as a supreme athlete male vs a high technique female, but you'll experience what i'm talking about and see how hopeless it is.

    • @Elthenar
      @Elthenar 10 років тому +1

      Because of Floyds complete lack of grappling training, Ronda can sell out on a takedown against him in ways that she couldn't do against her female MMA opponents. Floyd is silly fast and very skilled and he does have that punchers chance, but Ronda is very skilled too and I'd bet a lot of money she could get Floyd tied up and neutralized before he did serious damage.
      Don't forget that Ronda does train with men, she is well acclimated to dealing with man strength and doing it against guys with grappling skills.

      she trains with men, but I'm pretty shore they told the men not to pummel her. Man strength is different from woman strength. Yes in a hypothetical world if she got him down she could submit him, IF is the word. I think he may be to strong for that, the women she fights aren't as strong as her, that why she shakes off their punches and takes them down. I see her fighting him as a Chuck Liddell vs any other grappler scenario.

    Winning a fight comes down to one thing: which fighter can execute their game plan. It doesn't matter if you're a boxer, mma fighter, navy seal, street fighter, convict serving a life sentence, movie star etc. If you execute your game plan you win. Simple. I love you all more than you'll ever know. Let's all start being nicer to each other.

      and you can back that up with no evidence at all? Have you ever saw Floyd in a street fight? Do you know what he trains in outside of boxing? No. You're just like everybody else. All you want to do is see that man beat by anybody. I get it. He's not the best person alive but this lust for him to be beaten badly is just senseless.

    • @nyclear
      @nyclear 9 років тому

      I cannot be absolutely sure of anything, good point. But here is why I say that: A good (not great) grappler can shoot for a takedown feet beyond the best puncher's range. Which means the takedown has already occurred before a strike can even happen. And if that is the case, there is nothing you can really do because all the forces are headed for your knees and it's too late. Then once on the ground, Mayweather would get payback for all the out of integrity evil shit he does in his life. He's probably the type of guy who taps from strikes so maybe he wouldn't get that hurt.

    • @zumis1011
      @zumis1011 9 років тому

      Big Willie If nothing is for certain in fighting, than surely it would be hard to put into words what truly makes a great fighter, more so if those words are few. I agree that planning and executing a good plan is part of what makes a good fighter, but, to say that's all it takes, well, that's a simplistic view for a novice, no offense. As I'm sure you know, a great fighter knows several ways to respond to any situation, and has a knack for deciding which is best based on his opponents strength and weaker elements, and his own. Someone who relies solely on executing a specific strategy undermines the need for adaptation and the sometimes necessary sudden and dramatic shift of strategy, bases of the circumstances at any given point in fight. One who does not read the situation can not be a great fighter, no matter how skilled and able. Love you too bro!

    Let me put it like this: If at any time during the fight Ronda Rousey is able to secure a takedown and get him on the ground thus entering his guard, the fight would be over in a matter of seconds. That is simply the amazing power behind the science of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Now if Floyd can keep the fight standing utilizing a sprawl and brawl technique, the fight again would possibly be over in a matter of seconds because Ronda wouldn't be able to touch him and she would get counter punched and KTFO. Such is the power of the sweet science of boxing as well as Floyd's signature style defense; whom none can imitate quite like him...

      Boxing technique doesn't translate into mma. Punches need to be thrown differently and your weight distribution is completely different. After so many years of boxing, Mayweather isn't going to re-learn how to punch.
      also, I do not think Floyd has one punch KO power. He connects cleanly more often than not, but if his first punch connects and isn't a KO, then he's already taken down and clueless on what to do.

      You must be really young if you think Mayweather is the greatest boxer of our generation. Mike Tyson was the best prime fighter to ever box. You better name a weight class if you're gonna say that. Also I can't call him the greatest if he doesn't fight Pacquiao, tell him to stop dodging.

      DivisonOneBro Ok, 1. How would saying Mayweather is the best boxer of our generation show how young i am, Mayweather has been a pro for nearly 20 years. 2. Not gonna deny ya, i also think tyson was the best fighter ever, that why i clearly state Mayweather is the greatest BOXER of our generation. Nobody is on his level when it comes to technical boxing. 3. Nobody gives a shit what you cant call him

    • @DivisonOneBro
      @DivisonOneBro 10 років тому

      1 & 2. Tyson was quick, great defensively, and powerful., he's been around longer so if you think Mayweather is a better boxer in this generation then you must be young cause Mayweather is only quick and great defensively, he has no power. 3. He can't be considered great if he doesn't fight anyone great, he can't fight scrubs all the time.

    • @abuckeye26
      @abuckeye26 10 років тому

      DivisonOneBro Tyson and Mayweather are my favorite boxers so im not trashing tyson but his head movements was probably the best in boxing history but if you actually watch his fights whenever they made it out of the first round tyson would eat some punches as well. Theres a reason why May is still in his prime after 45 fights because he doesnt get hit. And if thats the logic that hes fought scrubs how can you say pacquiao is great seeing as then he has only fought scrubs because outside of a few people they have fought pretty much the same resume' but mayweather has fought the majority first.

    • @DivisonOneBro

      Richie Famus Mayweather will need at least 1 year of takedown and ground defense training before he enter a bout with Rousey. He probably can neutralize her offensive judo ground game and wait for the Ref to stand them back up. On their feet, I like Mayweather's chances for sure.

    • @stephentaylor484
      @stephentaylor484 10 років тому

      Phil Ster no way someone with one years worth of training can neutralize her ground game. Chances of floyd knocking her out very big but also chances of him being to aggressive and playing into rondas judo throws are also very big, his only chance would be to KO her, but then again this fight will never happen so it's whatever.

    • @josecalderon9487
      @josecalderon9487 10 років тому

      Bas Rutten and Joe Rogan believes a non-MMA fighter needs about 6 months - 1 year training to familiarize one self with the ground game.
      I believe so too. A fighter will not become an expert in that time but will know what to expect and have a defensive plan in place to neutralize the grappler's strategy.
      Way back in UFC 14, Kickboxer Maurice Smith defeated Wrestler Mark Coleman by neutralizing his offensive ground game, eventually wearing Coleman out. Once back on their feet, a totally gassed Coleman was not proficient at the stand-up game and got punched and kicked repeatedly until time expired. This match was considered 1 of the 3 most important match in UFC history by long-time Referee, John McCarthy.
      This should be the ideal blueprint for a pro boxer like Mayweather.
      I don't think Mayweather needs to KO her with 1 punch. He just need to neutralize her ground game, wear her down, and once back up ( either by the Ref or by his own escape ), he can then punch her repeatedly and rack up points or get the TKO.
      The ground game is more mental than physical. The stand up game, on the other hand, is more physical than mental. Can Rousey absorb all the blows by Mayweather? I doubt it. (against Holm or Carano, yes maybe, but not Mayweather)

    • @stephentaylor484

      You and me both know she'll go right for that arm bar, people that have been training bjj or wrestled for years get picked off by it from rousey, I'm more than sure she wouldn't have a problem picking off an arm bar from someone with 6 months to a year of training on the ground.

    People who think Ronda would beat Floyd purely because he doesn't have a "ground game" or whatever are ignorant. You think it's that easy to just take someone to the ground, or tackle them or get a hold of them? Floyd has one of the fastest hands in the world, the second Ronda ducks her head, or lunges out for some grab, it's lights out, that's happened to plenty of MMA fighters, and it would be even worse with Floyd because punching is literally all he does.

    • @shoibmahmood7030
      @shoibmahmood7030 9 років тому

      Lol no, for starters a common known fact is that floyd has brittle hands resulting in a lack of knockout power. Ronda has been hit with punches of a much higher caliber and has still won. You probably have not trained in jujitsu or even judo because you're entire argument was ignorant. He may be fast but he's still a clincher and would still be beaten easily by Ronda. If he had knockout power then it would be a much better fight. Men do have more muscle mass than girls and would hurt her more than her previous fight but the fact of the matter is he doesn't.

    • @tusbehim
      @tusbehim 9 років тому

      He overpowers them with his fast hands and the fact he wears heavily padded gloves. In the octagon he'd wear less padded gloves which would in turn limit him. Knockout power is something which mike Tyson, Ronda rousey and others have whereas mayweather has extremely sharp snap punches or counter punches.

    • @tusbehim
      @tusbehim 9 років тому

      He's fast you're right, but also powerful, he doesn't have to be as powerful as mike tyson to have "knockout power"..No one has the knockout power of Mike Tyson, and how does Ronda Rousey have knockout power and floyd doesn't?? most of her fights end in arm bars, while most of floyd's end in knockouts. Also having less padded gloves would make floyd's hitting power much more effective.

    The difference is Mayweather can go to the UFC and train for probably 2 years ground and wrestling tactics, he is a genius once he puts his mind on something, he can learn new things and actually beat Ronda Rousey, lets not forget Ronda has been fighting unknown females all her career and to back her strength up she brags about how she spars men in sparring but sparring is not an actual fight you can spar heavyweights but once you get in that ring your fighting someone who has better defense better skill and has faced much better opposition than you ever will in your whole life time.
    now can ronda go in boxing and become an all time great? can she stay undefeated for 20 years? can she be a 5 division world champ? can she beat all 47 opponents floyd has faced? NO NEVER EVER!! He would hit her( probably KO her then and there) but if not he would just dart out.. she wouldn't be able to grab him and if she did I think he would have the power to push her off standing head on.. -__________-

    +The Bomb54 The difference is Rhonda , or other female mma fighter or an other male mma fighter , has to do things like hitting Floyd in the legs or put him down , things that Floyd hasn't ever trained for , in order to beat him.
    Meanwhile , every mma fighter trains a lot in boxing and still no mma fighter would have a chance against Mayweather , in a boxing match . That's the big difference

      If he's close enough to hit her, he's close enough to get taken down. If she didn't get knocked out first, he'd be hitting the deck, but trying to hit someone who's not trying to hit you, and only trying to take you down is much more difficult than it looks on TV. That's the problem. Once on the ground, it's not just unlikely that Floyd would win, it's nearly impossible...unless he's got ground skills we don't know about. He's way stronger and faster...wouldn't save him. Go try jiu jitsu at a bigger gym where there's a few upper level women training, and try them out. It'll change your mind.

      I really like the way you describes this approach. But I doubt Ronda get that close to Floyd while he is using his footwork and throwing massive uppercuts and straight right hand on Ronda's chin. The best she could have is to swallow Floyd's shots. She will never catch the TBE.

      sorry son, Olympic Judo medalist will throw Floyd to the ground before he can land any significant strike. If floyd was a one hit knockout artist, i could agree with you but thats just not the case

      Killertofu
      A judo medallist is not always the best in the world. That means she was well prepared and had a chance to overpower her opponent. I am not going to discredit her judo skills. But a judoka (as we call a judo athlete in french) needs a contact even the smallest one. How could you throw someone down if you cannot catch him? hun! This is senseless. Keeping his distance for at least 3 minutes from Ronda, Floyd will have more than one chance to land supersonic uppercut and his terrific right hand that will destroy Ronda. He might not be one hit knock-out artist but his shots will not do any good to Ronda the same way these shots haven't done any good to his males fighters opponents.
      Jon Jones himself secretly knows that Ronda will not stand against Floyd but he has to be political correct as he defends his sport and because he has fucked Ronda in the past.
      For me it will not be fair cause it's about style and sport opposition. Unless Floyd learns MMA or Ronda practices Boxing then thing could sound OK.

      you are way off. boxing is a small aspect of the total skills required to fight mma. boxing has too many rules which prevents it from being a real fight - its a gentleman's sport but its not a true fighting art. mma is for warriors not sportsmen.

    • @TonyBambino
      @TonyBambino 10 років тому

      WTF? Are you serious? The rules are what make it a sport.... It's not a street fight, it's not supposed to be a street fight.. that's why its called boxing..
      Boxing is harder to do.. it has nothing to do with rules.. it's a much more complex sport to learn.. you don't get to hide from a good punch with grapples... grappling is much easier to learn.. it's why MMA has so many weak/sloppy punchers...
      If MMA was for warriors... why do so many MMA fighters have weak chins.. dudes getting knocked out with fucking jabs in MMA.. that's laughable...

      MMA fan and grappler. Floyd would destroy Rhonda in any setting. Stop it. Well if Rhonda surprised him and grabbed him first, its all over. But other than that, she will get ko'd fairly quickly. In fact I've seen her a little stunned by a chick in the ufc during stand up. She's got to get close enough to grab him to take him down and if we were talking about Aldo I would certainly agree with you, but Rhonda would go to sleep. Being a great offensively talented woman doesn't make you able to take elite level striking from a male any better. Stop it.

      And what if Mayweather doesn't land anything significant during the transition? He's got literally no takedown defense. Of course if he landed a clean punch she'd probably be out like a light, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of her getting close enough to get him to the ground (hypothetically speaking).

    • @richiefamus8778
      @richiefamus8778 10 років тому

      Scramblieggs No, your right I wouldn't rule it out either. But its highly unlikely that the pound for pound best boxer on the planet couldn't land a significant punch on a female who is smaller and WORLDS slower than he is, and who has about as much defense against his punches as he has against a take down. Everyone acts as if Floyd can't train to learn how to stop take downs if such a crazy fight was ever made. C'mon, just because you're a boxer you are not capable of learning take down defense? But I agree that she hurts him if she got him on the ground.

    k lets break it down, in an MMA fight, it starts standing advantage-mayweather, theres grappling aloud advantage-ronda, strength advantage-mayweather, hand speed advantage-mayweather, reflexes advantage-mayweather (i would note that the grappling advantage ronda has is a big advantage). now how about a boxing match, oh wait mayweather is better in absolutely every category considered in boxing. plus hes like 37.

Man strength and woman strength are at different levels. His speed and power would be nothing like the women Rousey has fought before and be too much for her to handle..

    This really fucked me off from Jon. He's a clever guy, but he's following the puppet master Dana Right with these comments. For all of those so called MMA fans who have watched a few men and women's ufc fights, a few seasons of tuf and who think they know all about combat sports, let me set you straight.
    Floyd Mayweather is the best boxer in the world at the moment. Do you understand? The BEST boxer in the world. He has been undefeated in 47 fights, breaking Ali's, Tyson's, Sugar Ray Leonard and Sugar Ray Robinson's records. Even if you want to debate all this shit with the current division and Pacquiao and whatever, you can't deny Floyd is a beast. Man he is so quick- lightning fast.
    Ronda fucking Rousey is gonna claim she can beat him in MMA? Agreed- she is a very impressive woman, and I've heard that cinema shit from Dana many times over so please spare me.
    BUT striking is by far the most effective form of winning fights in MMA. Don't believe me? Ask Dana White. Ask Jon Jones. Go watch Brock Lesnar's last 2 fights against Cain and Alistair. Floyd is so quick, and such a defensive fighter, Ronda would have to eat at least 5 shots standing before she could get her hands on him for a takedown. If she got the takedown, she would take 5 more on the mat, and with Floyd's power and pin-point accuracy ability to hit the temple she would be lying unconscious where she belongs with her head between Floyd's legs before she could go for any of the precious armbar's all you fanboys are suggesting. She would never ever knock him out, and I would bet everything I own, then go to the bank and demand the highest loan, and bet that on her being unable to submit him before he TKO'd her. He wouldn't need any takedown defence training. When you have the best striking ability in the world, why the fuck would you fear judo throws?
    I don't like Floyd as a guy, but he is straight up, unlike most of these guys in the UFC today.
    I'm a big MMA and UFC fan, Chael Sonnen and Frank Mir are my two favourite athletes in the world. But don't make fools of yourselves by blinding jumping on the UFC promotion hype bandwagon. Dana white is a promoter, and controversy= money. It's just not sensible. Do your damn research.

    Jon is right. If you have ever been on the ground with someone who is a jiu jitsu blackbelt... even if you have training in jiu jitsu. Even if youre a blue belt. Its like you are drowning. The more technique you use, the more you get countered and it really does feel like you a drowning. Ronda would kick and kick and kick at Floyds legs as a counter to his style- and eventually bomb rush him against the cage. Once they wrap up, it will be extremely easy for Ronda to take Floyd down. and there is literally no way for him to get back up. But floyd's hands are so fast and powerful compared to anything shes faced... unfortunately Ronda would have no intentions of being in striking range...

The Gracies clearly proved the superiority of grappling over striking through the years, and not only is Ronda good on the ground, shes also extremely good at judo and shes done that her whole life. While the Gracies may be better than her on the ground, I have to say her takedowns are superior because of her extensive training in judo. Her hands arent bad. They may be compared to Floyds, but they arent bad and id still put my money on her
