It’s interesting seeing the evolution of aftermarket grow for new cars. Aftermarket parts are so limited with some new cars that each part released can often be really exciting to many people. 10-20 years later… a plethora of parts available!!
I felt the same way about the stock BPV after I installed an intake on my VB. I installed the GFB DV+ BPV and it’s so much better. It still uses the stock solenoid but the valve is mechanical and held closed with a spring so it only opens and closes with vacuum and boost like what we’re used to. It also only opens like 1mm vs 3-5mm for the stock unit so it sounds much more refined.
I didn't like the sound of my ETS intake until I replaced the bov to the turbosmart plumb back bov. Now it doesn't have that dragging sound the stock one makes

I wish I was able to get Perrin or preferably Grimmspeed intercooler and intake but Unfortunantly I live in commifornia so I can only get COBB intake and FMIC. Which I have no complaints about I just prefer the red piping that Grimmspeed provides over the flat back. But I have one more year to go on warranty after that it’s off to the races.
The cops ask what brand your from mount is?? That is insane… cops here in a Canada pretty mod friendly especially during the summer months. Only thing they hassle for is no front plate. I’d take your weather over our cops any day though lol🙂
I would suggest keeping the stock airbox and going with either an AEM dry flow drop in panel filter or a Perrin drop in panel filter. I have the AEM dry flow panel filter with the Carbon filter delete in my impreza and it's honestly fantastic

Having the CVT is going to save me so much money. Lol. ETS Extreme Catback, Radium dual catch-cans and a radar detector, I'm done. :D Still love watching the videos though.

Doesn't removing the front crash bar severely reduced the safety of the vehicle? Also, when you installed the cobb stuff you mentioned you were going to make these car mods relatable for a person's daily driver. But with the safety gone here, I guess that idea has shifted to.
Ets has a front mount crash bar… I was going to ask if you would sell the cobb charge pipe I bought my cobb top mount before they designed that charge pipe so I’ll just have to get one no biggie

No. The crash bar is actually for low speed incidents and bumper support. All of the high speed accident related stuff is behind the crash bar in the form of crumple zones. They make aftermarket crash bars that you can add for peace of mind only, and are just as effective or ineffective as the stock one was. Chances are, if you collide front end, and you crumple the crush zones, you would have done so with the crash bar anyhow.

Installed a perrin intake for a friend same issue, filter kept slipping off. New clamps seemed to hold it better than the ones it came with
