Hi mate I love fatwood for starting fires quick and easy.. I can see the amount of work you have put into this video, all the different angles of footage, and you will get your 3,000 subs soon what is great, well all the best mate,, English woodsman
Very interesting project! I’ll have to try it out. I have a quick question, what are the restrictions on the Isle of Wight in regards to building a camp fire? Thanks for sharing.
Building a fire on public land is not advised, fortunately I have permission from a few landowners that allow me to wildcamp and have a fire, they trust me which is nice.
I imagine you could split it even further, 2 ft or so then insure fatwood all the way down and let the fire work it’s way down over time. Staggering the lengths of fatwood may help with that as well. I like your design. Very nice.
Many thanks W.O. Yes, if they are around, I will gather some filberts, love hazel nuts, the problem sometimes is getting to them before the reds ( squirrels ) do.
That works beautiful! Thanks for sharing, I am always looking for new ways to make torches.
Thank you, hope it works for you too. Appreciate your Comms too my friend.
