It’s insane how much seeing master chief and the chord drop on 1:28 makes me want to go out and take control of life. It’s such a “it’s up to me” feeling that it feels like a movie

It’s cool seeing him in third person, kind of shows how massive he is and how fast he can be
And yet his sprint is slower then mine irl, so I doubled it and now he makes 100m runs in 5 seconds which is not impossible for the chief
Imagine this: A Halo game where you play as UNSC Marines/ODST with over-the-shoulder third person camera gameplay (similar to Gears of War).
I'd prefer a first person with a marine perspective with the spartans seen every now and then in first person cut scenes. Give you a new perspective to their capabilities yknow

I love the running animation, when you're not shooting or anything. His standard run animation looks so good.
And yeah, there's no water splash physics, obviously, because you're not supposed to see that in first person. But it still looks really good.
I would LOVE for Halo Infinite to get official 3rd person support in campaign! 🙌

Super nostalgic, considering at this time there are few dozen marines alive on the ring that we know of, with no Infinity in sight- it really gives off vibes from the Lone Wolf mission in Halo Reach.

I was no way a Halo fan until I saw this video but if they made the game third person (correcting the movement to make it look smooth 1st of course) I would most likely buy an Xbox just to play halo. I love third person game & when I saw this it remindedme of Warframe. If they actually made it 3rd person as well as expanding the open world a little more, they would have a lot a players migrating over for this.

I'm a little late to the party, but I'm currently working my way through the campaign of Infinite with a buddy and every time I play it, I think to myself "These graphics are so underrated and underappreciated." I'm always impressed specifically with the textures. The shiny metallic of Forerunner structures. The dull, crumbled texture of bullet riddled walls. The reflective shine of visors. The rock filled dirt of the ground. Etc.
It all looks so good, especially in 4K HDR. Nice mod and vid btw - that was cool to watch! Kinda makes me desire a Marine / ODST based 3rd person horror shooter w/ the Flood or anything really. There's so much lore to draw from with the novels released over the years to draw inspiration from.
Having this as a skull option and another skull that changes your appearance to your multiplayer Spartan would be amazing!!

I was protesting BR mode in Halo Infinite but now im looking forward to it 😊
Omg. Ok 343 has to add this as a single player option. The animation is there and they could even do it as being able to control how close the third person camera is. If Rockstar Games went out of there way to make the entirety of GTA 5's single player work for first person because of a PS2 mod years ago then 343 can at least make third person a settings option. We all know we're master chief. At this point nothing justifies not having 3rd person because the game is still damn hard on legendary. Be more cinematic if we could see ourselves.
Hopefully something like this is added during the co-op update.

I am so glad to see so many people in the comments wanting to have a third person view option for the Halo games. One time I said on twitter that I really wanted to play in third person view in the Halo games and I have been mocked by some haters. Good for my moral to see positive people in the Halo community wanting to play in third person view !!

Your the only person I seen use all of the tools - energy wall , burst , grapple , and enemy scan flawlessly with each other

Hey, love the way you play the game, you make it play waaaay closer to something like Doom Eternal than traditional Halo! I was just wondering what kind of system specs your running? At around 1:22 you suffer a pretty big stutter, and I've noticed it too (mostly) when the game's loading a new area, glad to see it isn't just my system!
Thank you, I'm running a rtx 3060 but my process is a little dated as a i5-6700k, halo infinite seems to be poorly optimised, also running the modding client along along side obs takes a toll for sure in my frames

343 should make some kind of spinoff 3rd person game like this, but like Halo meets Crackdown. Keep mainline Halo with its current gameplay loop of Infinite, and the spinoff could show Spartans doing what they are really capable of. Super sprinting and super jumping, etc.

I would love to see and look at my own armor while i play and some people love the game but would feel more comfortable with the camera view change as an option. Please who ever is charge of halo.
