There was a chance in Shibuya where Toji's identity could have been revealed, Maki asked Naobito who that strong guy was, and Naobito answered that he was No One/No Body/ a Ghost (I forgot what he said but its one of those 3) which covered completely Toji's identity, there is only a few people who knew him and those are: Shoko, Utahime, Mei Mei, Gojo, Geto, Yaga etc...

Btw for yall who dont know why he sold his son. It was because he felt he would have a better life with them since he knew he would have the ten shadows. Plus toji was basically broke so he couldn't raise him well anyway. Its only when he was about to die that he realized that he didnt want megumi to be cursed by the nature of his clan, thats why he told gojo.

Not a huge JJK fan but god i love Toji. Toji is one of the best examples of character screen time. So many shows have made the error of giving characters too much screen time that at some point there actions and they in itself become insignificant to the viewers eyes. But, Gege frickin struck gold when he wrote Toji. The dude has the perfect screen time its to the point that whenever he appears on the screen he feels significant and enjoyable but is also killed off on a perfect time so that the characters actions don't feel insignificant to the viewer.
